Description


NOTE:  This is a Cpp Share series patch, common for all architectures.
       This patch supersedes all previous Cpp Share (series or not) patches.

This patch is part of refresh #7 for the 4.4.0 release; it includes
changes from all previous refreshes and updates to 4.4.0.

On-line documentation, included in the Docs series patch,
contains a release note with a list of corrected defects.
