IF YOU HAVE CUSTOMIZED ANY FILE UNDER THE /installedApps//wps.ear/wps.war DIRECTORY BUT DID NOT UPDATE THE WEBSPHERE PORTAL EAR FILE, YOUR CUSTOMIZATION CHANGES WILL BE LOST WHEN YOU INSTALL THIS FIX. YOU NEED TO EITHER RE-APPLY YOUR CUSTOMIZATION CHANGES AFTER INSTALLING THIS FIX OR FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE DESCRIBED IN THE TOPIC "DEPLOYING CUSTOMIZED THEMES AND SKINS" OF THE WEBSPHERE PORTAL INFOCENTER BEFORE YOU INSTALL THIS FIX. WE RECOMMEND YOU FOLLOW THE PROCEDURE IN THE WEBSPHERE PORTAL INFOCENTER SO THAT YOUR CUSTOMIZATION CHANGES ARE NOT LOST WHENEVER THE WEBSPHERE PORTAL EAR FILE IS UPDATED. NOTE: THIS FIX UPDATES THE FOLLOWING JSPS IN THE WEBSPHERE PORTAL ENTERPRISE APPLICATION: /installedApps//wps.ear/wps.war/themes/xdime/Navigation.jsp /installedApps//wps.ear/wps.war/themes/xdime/NavWML.jsp /installedApps//wps.ear/wps.war/themes/xdime/NavPagination.jsp IF YOU HAVE CUSTOMIZED ANY OF THESE FILES, YOU NEED TO RE-APPLY THE CUSTOMIZATION CHANGES AFTER APPLYING THIS FIX EVEN IF YOU HAVE DEPLOYED YOUR CUSTOMIZATION CHANGES TO THE WEBSPHERE PORTAL EAR FILE. NOTE: YOU MUST FIRST DOWNLOAD THE WEBSPHERE PORTAL UPDATE INSTALLER TOOL FOR VERSION 5.0.x IN ORDER TO INSTALL A FIX. The Portal Update Installer can be downloaded from the following link: http://www.ibm.com/software/genservers/portal/support 1. Create temporary "fix" directory to store the jar file. 2. Copy jar file to this directory. 3. Shutdown WebSphere Portal. 4. Follow the fix installation instructions that are packaged with the Portal Update Installer on how to install the fix. 5. Restart WebSphere Portal. 6. The temporary directory may be removed. NOTE: FIXES MUST BE REMOVED IN THE ORDER THEY WERE APPLIED. DO NOT REMOVE A FIX UNLESS ALL FIXES APPLIED AFTER IT HAVE FIRST BEEN REMOVED. YOU MAY REAPPLY ANY REMOVED FIX. 1. Shutdown WebSphere Portal. 2. Follow the instructions that are packaged with the Portal Update Installer on how to uninstall the fix. 3. Restart WebSphere Portal.
