README to Install SimpleOSGi Plugin Component

  1. Install the SimpleOSGi plugin.
     AIX:
        Place the following file in /tmp

                <SimpleOSGiPluginComponent.jar>

        cd TivDMS15/bin

        ./compinstall.sh -file /tmp/SimpleOSGiPluginComponent.jar
     
     Windows:
        Place the following file in C:\tmp
                <SimpleOSGiPluginComponent.jar>

        cd C:\Program Files\TivDMS15\bin
        
        compinstall -file C:\tmp\SimpleOSGiPluginComponent.jar
    
    
     Please note: If security is turned on, you may get an error when the 
     utility trys to cycle the application server.

  2. Enable WebSphere Application Server global security.

  3. Start server1.

  4. Start the DMS_AppServer.

      	                         NOTE
              
  * If WebSphere authentication is turned on, you will need to supply the 
    username and password when using WebSphere's stopserver / startserver 
    utilities.
  * Watch the output of the command for any error message - if the server
    is not successfully stopped and then started, the path will not be picked 
    up.
  * The commands are in .../WebSphere/AppServer/bin.  Type the commands 
    without any arguments to get help on the command line parameters.


  IMPORTANT NOTE:

  This is only needed for IBM products that include the corresponding OSGi Agent 
  (SimpleOSGiAgentExtension).
