This file contains the install information for SCORE IFix number SCR5120P5 1.1 IFix information This is the IFix readme for SCORE APAR IY79239 1.2 Intended use and before IFix check Ensure the SCORE version installed is 5.1.2: Open the SCORE portlet and look on the repository login screen or in the Tools->About IBM SCORE menu item to verify the version and Build Level of SCORE are: IBM Solution for Compliance in a Regulated Environment 5.1.2 Build Level: 20051019133559 If different version or build levels exist, STOP do not continue applying this IFix. This IFix is only to be applied on the above version and build level. 2.0 Installation and configuration This IFix is for installation on SCORE 5.1.2. 2.1 Supported languages English 2.2 Prerequisites or Co-requisites None 2.3 Before the Installation Be sure to do a full system backup of your WebSphere Portal and Application servers before performing this install. 2.4 Installing the IFix Steps to Install: 2.4.1. Stop the WebSphere Server: In a split server environment (where you have 2 servers, one for portal, and one for application server) a: For the Portal Server - Stop the Windows service called IBM WebSphere Application Server (Version) WebSphere_Portal b: For the Application Server - Stop the Windows service called IBM WebSphere Application Server (Version) server1 Optional c: Or You can use the command line in the following location \AppServer\bin>stopServer.bat server1 -user wasadmin -password (specify pwd) Optional d: Or You can use the command line in the following location \AppServer\bin>stop WebSphere_Portal 2.4.2. Backup the SCORE.ear files to be update ***This is important because restoring this backup is the only way to remove the IFix. a: Copy /AppServer/installedApps//Score_XX_X_X_XX (the xx's will be replaced with some generated unique characters so the SCOREUI.war enterprise application (for example Score_PA_1_0_P1) to a temporary folder or location. 2.4.3. Backup the SCOREUI.war files to be updated ***This is important because restoring this backup is the only way to remove the IFix. a: Copy /PortalServer/installedApps/Score_XX_X_X_XX (the xx's will be replaced with some generated unique characters so the SCOREUI.war enterprise application (for example Score_PA_1_0_P1) to a temporary folder or location. 2.4.4. Update the SCORE.ear enterprise application a: On the Application or portal server where SCORE.ear is installed, extract the files from SCOREear.zip to the /AppServer/installedApps//SCORE.ear directory, where WAS_HOME is the directory where WebSphere is installed and is the name of the websphere node. b. If during this process a message is displayed asking to override any existing files, say yes to all. 2.4.5. Update the SCOREUI.war enterprise application a: On the Portal server where SCOREUI.war is installed, extract the files from SCOREUIwar.zip to the /PortalServer/installedApps/Score_PA_X_X_XX/SCOREUI.war directory. The Score_PA_X_X_XX will look something like this Score_PA_1_0_12D.ear. Also if updates normally occur for the SCOREUI.war file via the Portal Administration Console multiples of the Score_PA_X_X_XXX.ear directories may exist and finding the right one to update is important. The one to update has several (more than 5) subdirectories under the SCOREUI.war b. If during this process a message is displayed asking to override any existing files, say yes to all. 2.5 Verify IFix installed correctly a. If SCOREUIwar.zip was part of this IFix then open the /PortalServer/installedApps/Score_XX_X_X_XX/SCOREUI.war, and look for META-INF directory. b. Look for file SCORE_IY78213.txt if it exists the IFix was applied correctly. c. If SCOREear.zip was part of this IFix then open the /AppServer/installedApps//Score_XX_X_X_XX/SCORE.ear, and look for META-INF directory. d. Look for file SCORE_IY78213.txt if it exists the IFix was applied correctly. 2.6 After the install Restart the WebSphere Server a: In a split server environment (where you have 2 servers, one for portal, and one for application server) timing is critical. You must verify the application server is started completely before proceeding to the next step. b: You start the Windows service called IBM WebSphere Application Server (Version) server1 c: Or You can use the command line in the following location \AppServer\bin>startServer.bat server1 -user wasadmin -password (specify pwd) The following message should appear. ADMU0116I: Tool information is being logged in file \AppServer\logs\server1\startServer.log ADMU3100I: Reading configuration for server: server1 ADMU3200I: Server launched. Waiting for initialization status. ADMU3000I: Server server1 open for e-business; process id is 2576 open for e-business with process id means the start is completed. d: You start the Windows service called IBM WebSphere Application Server (Version) WebSphere_Portal e: Or You can use the command line in the following location \AppServer\bin>start WebSphere_Portal 3.0 IFix Removal - If problems occur here are the steps to remove the IFix. 3.1 Stop the WebSphere server.
