Updating the IBM WebSphere Everyplace Device Manager v5.0 Fix Pack 1

Before using the IBM WebSphere Everyplace Device Manager (WEDM) and Enterprise Management Agent (EMA) please
go to the following FTP site and download the additional updates for the WEDM server.

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/pervasive/fixes/

The file to download: WCTME_EO_Updates.jar

Download the update to a directory on the WEDM server (i.e. c:\temp). The update provides updates to the NativeAppBundle
tool.

Follow these instructions on your WEDM server with the new software updates previously downloaded:
1. Start a Command Prompt.

2. Stop the IBM WebSphere Application Server instance that is running DMS. From the WebSphere Application
Server bin directory (A typical installation directory on Windows may be c:\Program Files\WebSphere\AppServer\bin) and run
the following command: stopserver DMS_AppServer -username <username> -password <password>

3. Navigate to the directory for WEDM (the default installation directory on Windows is typically C:\Program Files\TivDMS15).

4. Change to the bin directory.

5. Run the following command to install the updated component:
compinstall -file <the location where the update was downloaded>\WCTME_EO_Updates.jar

For example, if you downloaded the update to c:\temp, the command would be:
compinstall -file c:\temp\WCTME_EO_Updates.jar

Notes:
The WebSphere Application Server instance that is running DMS will be restarted as part of the compinstall process.
