APAR Problem Descriptions 2.1 PK61062 - Cache expiration fails with the error "Unable to open directory" - When running 'arsmaint -c', the following error in your DB2® Content Manager OnDemand System Log appears, preventing cache expiration from continuing: 02/13/2008 19:31:38 ADMIN 778304 Error No 194 Unable to open directory >/arscache/cache1/10465/IAA/5FAA1<. errno=2 Srvr->cma26.svl.ibm.com 9.30.154.36<- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Installation Notes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3.1 UNIX Servers - Pre-reqs - Previous install of OnDemand Fixpack 8.4.0.1 - Steps to install this Fix Customers will need to download the appropriate APAR Package file for their Server platform, rename and replace the existing arssockd and arsobjd files. Example for Unix: Download the appropriate APAR Package for you platform: AIX = PK61062_aix.tar HPUX = PK61062_hpux.tar Linux = PK61062_linux.tar Sun Solaris = PK61062_sun.tar Linux for System z = PK61062_linux390.tar Extract the file "tar -xvf PK61062_.tar" Extracted Files: /arssockd /arsobjd Stop the OnDemand Server Rename or copy the original arssockd, arsobjd Copy the arssockd and arsobjed file into /usr/lpp/ars/bin or /opt/ondemand/bin, be sure to update all the object servers too Set the permissions for these files appropriately( r-xr-xr-x ) Restart the OnDemand Server 3.2 Windows Server - Pre-reqs - Previous install of OnDemand Fixpack 8.4.0.1 - Steps to install this Fix Customers will need to download the PK61062_win.zip server file for their Windows platform, rename and replace the existing arssockd.exe Example for Windows: Download PK61062_win.zip Extract the files from PK61062_win.zip Extracted files win\arssockd.exe Stop the OnDemand Server using the configurator Rename or copy the original arssockd.exe Copy the arssockd.exe into the C:\Program Files\IBM\OnDemand for WinNT\Bin directory and be sure to update all object servers too Restart the OnDemand Server -------------end of Installation Notes-----------------------------------------
