Installation Notes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2.0.8.4.0.0 OnDemand is now a 64bit Application on Unix Platforms. What this means to customers is: - All Customized Server User Exits like arsufax, arsusec, arsuperm, arsuload, arsuprep, arstblsp, and arsuupdt must be built as 64bit now - The Batch Admin now requires a 64bit JVM - ACIF is still a 32bit application so, ACIF Exits are still 32bit Database support is limited to DB2 This current release will only support DB2. Oracle and SQL Server support is planned for delivery in the fourth quarter of this year. Migration from a previous Content Manager OnDemand Release Customers migrating from the previous release will need to run the "arsdb <-I instance_name> -vu". This will update the existing OnDemand System tables to support the new capabilities in version 8.4.0.0 Upgrading customers will need to: 1.) Stop the OnDemand Server. 2.) Backup the OnDemand Database or make sure they have a current backup. 3.) Install the 8.4 Upgrade. 4.) Run "arsdb <-I instance_name> -vu" 5.) Start the OnDemand Server. -------------end of Installation Notes----------------------------------------- 3.
