Component:   Web Admin for 5.1 IBM Directory Server


General Description:

        This patch fixes a problem where the IDS Web Administration Application
        was not rendering properly when used with Websphere Application Server 5
        with Fix Pack 1

Dependencies:


    The dependency is that there must be an IBM Directory Server 5.1 WEB Admin
     component installed.  The patch requires the base level + Fix Pack 1


Patch Contents:

    - This patch contains two files;

    - This README file
    - IDS WEB APP WAR file (IDSWebApp.war)


Applying the patch:


    I) Saving existing configuration information:

        This installation process entails replacing the WAR file which includes
        settings for a number of WEB Admin configuration settings.  You will
        have to re-enter settings for such things as your key store database
        and your server list.

        To manually recreate your configuration, you should print out the
        configuration information from the WEB Admin configuration panels.


    II) Apply the Patch:

        Note: Knowledge of uninstalling/installing a Websphere application is required.

        1).  Using the Websphere Administrative Console, uninstall the current
        IDSWebApp.war file if it has been previously installed.

        2).  Using the Websphere Administrative Console, install the new
        IDSWebApp.war file.

        3). Stop the server.

        4). Start the server and verify that WebAdmin works by going to
        http://localhost:9080/IDSWebApp/IDSjsp/Login.jsp - WebAdmin now works on WAS
        5.0



    Confirming the patch has been applied successfully:


    The patch has been applied successfully if the patch file included has been
    used as replacement for the same named file present prior to applying the
    patch.  If after applying the patch the directory server WEB Admin cannot be
    restarted, or any other associated function is degraded, please notify
    IBM Directory Server support personnel.
