Installation and Configuration Overview

This section provides an overview of the installation and configuration steps for Net.Data for OS/390 for planning purposes. It does not contain the complete procedures. See the Net.Data for OS/390 Program Directory for detailed installation and configuration procedures.

1. Install Net.Data:
   1. Install the Net.Data software.
   2. Customize the Net.Data initialization file.
   3. Install the Net.Data documents and icons.
   4. Customize the Net.Data include files.
   5. Set up the REXX, SQL and ODBC Net.Data language environments.
2. Run the installation verification process:
   1. Create and load the Net.Data sample DB2 tables.
   2. Install the sample DB2 stored procedures.
   3. Customize the Net.Data sample macros.
   4. Bind the Net.Data DBRM.
   5. Prepare the test environment, including setting up the Web server.
   6. Run the Net.Data sample macros.
