By selecting one of the IMS Resource Adapters in the Resource Adapter Selection page, you can create a Java™ application that communicates with an IMS transaction server, as illustrated in the following diagram:

Using the J2C dynamic wizard, you create a Java project, that includes a Java bean that is deployed as a JSP, as a Faces JSP, as a Web Service, or as an EJB. This application communicates to the IMS transaction server, by means of the IMS Connector through the Transaction Manager.
