MQSeries for Windows NT on Digital Alpha (AXP), V2.0.1 from IBM --------------------------------------------------------------- There are 5 files, one for each National Language version, for updating the server and/or the client: U200084A.ZIP - English language version U200084E.ZIP - Spanish language version U200084F.ZIP - French language version U200084G.ZIP - German language version U200084J.ZIP - Japanese language version Download the file for your National language version and server/client installation into a temporary directory on your hard drive and UNZIP the file. After installation of this CSD, there is a MEMO.PTF file that contains information relating to this PTF in the mqm directory. You are advised to read this file which contains: o Applying maintenance o Querying the service level o CSD special instructions o CSD history This PTF is applicable to ALL releases of product 5799-FYZ-00, IBM MQSeries for Windows NT on Digital Alpha (AXP), V2.0.1, namely the English version or any of the National Language versions. If after applying this PTF, you experience problems - please contact the IBM Support Center (ISC) or an authorized IBM Personal Computer dealer, whichever is applicable. Applying maintenance ==================== ** Precaution ************************************************** * * * Do not have queue managers running while you are applying * * or removing maintenance updates to MQSeries for Windows NT * * on Digital Alpha (AXP). * * * * You must also stop the IBM MQSeries Service (via the * * 'Services' window) before applying or removing maintenance. * * * **************************************************************** This PTF requires approximately 24MB of disk space to save the previous level. This allows a PTF to be removed, and the previous level automatically restored. 1. Ensure you are logged on as an Administrator 2. Ensure that all Queue Managers are stopped. 3. Ensure that all Channel Listeners are stopped. 4. Ensure that the IBM MQSeries Service has been stopped. 5. From the temporary directory run the SETUP.EXE file. 6. You will be presented with the "Welcome" dialog. Select the "Next>" button. 7. When prompted with the prompt "Do you wish to backup the current version of the product?", it is recommended that you reply "Yes". 8. Select the backup directory (it is recommended that you leave the default directory), and then select the "Next>" button. 9. From the "Copy Files" dialog, verify that the information displayed matches the user's requested choices, and then select the "Next>" button to proceed. 10. Select the "Finish" button to complete the installation of the CSD.
