Welcome to DB2* Client Application Enabler for Windows** Version 2.1.2!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Installation Instructions for CD-ROM Version
--------------------------------------------

Select Run from the File pulldown of the Program Manager. Enter
the following command in the Command line field:

     <f>:\WINDOWS\<ll>\CLIENT\INSTALL

where <f> is your CD-ROM drive letter and <ll> is a two letter language
directory (see the CD-ROM booklet for the list of available languages).

Alternatively, you may access the INSTALL.EXE file through the Windows
File Manager. Double click on the file to start the install.

If you experience a General Protection Fault error during installation,
we suggest that you retry install from the DB2 CAE for Windows diskettes
  provided.

Books on the CD-ROM
-------------------
Books are available in both PostScript format and on-line format in
  the directory:

<f>:\WINDOWS\<ll>\SQLJWx03.EXE Installing and Using Windows Clients (English)
  <f>:\WINDOWS\<ll>\SQLM0x03.EXE Messages Reference (English)
<f>:\WINDOWS\<ll>\SQLJWx03.INF Installing and Using Windows Clients (English)
  <f>:\WINDOWS\<ll>\SQLM0x03.INF Messages Reference (English)

where <f> is your CD-ROM drive letter, <ll> is the language directory and
x is the language identifier. See the CD-ROM booklet for a list of the
  language identifiers.

The PostScript files are in self-extracting executables. When run, these
executables will create a PS file in the current directory. Make sure the
current directory is one for which you have write access and that has
sufficient space for the PS file. For example, to extract the English
Installing and Using Windows Clients guide from the CD-ROM drive (F:):

  [F:\]c:
  [C:\]F:\win\en\SQLJWE03

Once you have extracted the PostScript book, a .PS file will be created.
To print a file execute:

  [C:\]print SQLJWE03.PS

All of the above books are also available on-line. The on-line versions of
the books are found in the same directories as the PostScript versions.
The names of the on-line books always end with .INF.

To view the on-line books, select Run from the File pulldown of the
Program Manager. Enter the following command in the Command line
field:

   <x>:\WINDOWS\<ll>\xview <x>:\WINDOWS\<ll>\<On-line Book>

Installation Instructions for Diskette Version
----------------------------------------------

     <a>:\INSTALL

File Manager. Double click on the file to start the install.
