FIX.EXE to Scan Database Elements for Dates and Change to Current Date

Overview of Resource:

The FIX.EXE utility attached below is an OS/2 based API and can scan
database elements for their dates and change them to the current date if
they are in future. It scans all directories and subdirectories relative
to the Notes data directory (including database and directory links).

Instructions on How to Use:

This utility should be used in conjunction with the document titled
"Database Documents or Elements Show Future Dates (Approx. 50 Days Ahead)"
(#128560 ).

The tool has three options:

-s This is the 'scan' option. It scans for and reports all databases
that need a modification; meaning that a database element like documents,
forms, views, ACL etc... is in the future. It cannot read the replication
history so it will not report if the history is in the future. The report
about the affected databases will be written in a text file named
FIFTYDAZ.TXT.

- n This is the 'normal' option. It scans for all databases with an
element in the future, corrects the dates of the element(s) and clears the
replication history (the history can only be cleared entirely, it is not
possible to clear single entries).

- c This is the 'clear' option. It scans for all databases with an
element in the future, corrects the dates of the element(s) and clears the
replication history of all databases. Sometimes, only the replication
history is affected and since the tool cannot read the history, those
databases would not be reported/found by the tool. To make sure all
databases replicate properly again without any manual intervention, use
this option.
