The Gateway Manager
Monitors and reports on cc:Mail Router

Product Description

The Gateway Manager is a proactive tool for monitoring and managing your
cc:Mail network. It provides powerful, flexible, and intuitive utilities
for analyzing and optimizing your cc:Mail configuration. Two utilities:
the Gateway Monitor and the Gateway Reporter, the Error Notification
System, and the Gateway Grapher.

The Gateway Monitor displays real-time and historical Router activity
information to any workstation on your network. Current Call Activity and
Local/Remote session analysis statistics are available for each cc:Mail
Post Office, cc:Mail Remote user, and any foreign mail services with which
your gateway communicates. An audible alarm sounds if any Router session
is unsuccessful. A user-defined Post Office Watch List and inactive
Gateway Watch List provide the tools for ensuring that messages are
delivered within a designated period of time.

The Gateway Reporter provides enterprise-wide chargeback accounting,
message and error tracking. The accounting and message tracking functions
can be performed by origination name, origination post office, or user
defined group. These are just a few of the many features available through
the Reporter that you maintain, analyze and optimize for your cc:Mail
system.

The Error Notification System (ENS) is a universal interface for providing
remote notification of potential cc:Mail network problems. It is invoked
from within the Gateway Monitor and relies on its real-time monitoring
ability. ENS passes error parameters for cc:Mail Router errors, late Post
Offices, and inactive Routers. The Gateway Manager already includes one
easily configured interface to notify selected personnel of errors through
cc:Mail messages, Network Broadcasts, and pagers.

The Gateway Graphics Utility renders graphical representations of log
activity information. It graphically illustrates information for session,
message, character totals for Local/Remote connection pairs, peak times/low
times, errors, and transmission speeds, to name a few.

The Gateway Manager is a complete proactive suite of tools for the
management and maintenance of an enterprise-wide cc:Mail network.

MailCheck
A network management tool for cc:Mail

Product Description

Baranof's MailCheck is a multi-vendor Electronic Mail Monitoring System
that gives mail administrators early warning of mail system failures. It
works by sending periodic probes to echo mailboxes on remote mail systems
and informing the local administrator if a particular system is not
responding correctly. Problems can be found before users start
complaining. MailCheck is available for cc:Mail, Lotus Notes and a large
number of other PC, Macintosh and UNIX mail systems and provides a
vendor-independent system for monitoring enterprise-wide and global E-mail
systems. Connections to public mail services such as MCI Mail (by
subscription) can also be monitored by using MailCheck.

MailCheck provides a variety of alert options including electronic mail,
command line and Windows monitors, and "custom notifications" that let a
user run a particular program when an event occurs. Through the custom
notification mechanism the user can send faxes or call pagers, or even take
automated remedial actions.

Listit
Mailing list maintenance and propagation tool

Description:
Listis allows an administrator to set up and maintain mailing lists
spanning multiple post office.

Each mailing list can be generated in a number of ways:
	1. Users home post office ('#All at Stena" for example).
	2. User type ('#All dialup users')
	3. Labels of fixed text in the users comments fields.

In order to take advantage of the latter feature, you could embed
department, project, location or special indentifiers in each user comments
field. Then, when ListIt is ran, it will build or maintain the mailing
list for you.

Listit is based on VIM2 and therfore does not need cc:Mail import/export,
although it will build an import/export compatible update file if you wish.

Listit can maintain mailing lists on up to ten post offices simultaneously,
adding and deleting users from lists on each post office as required.

Listit is licensed by post office.

GateScan
Simple router logfile report system

Description:
Gatescan is a fast, simple, reporting system, that allows you to easily see
all calls made to and from your cc:Mail router, via telephone and fax.

Call analysis includes breakdown per call, breakdown per time period, and
summary information concerning duration of call within pre-defined time
bands.

This tool is particularly effective at ignoring internal LAN-based router
calls, and focusing on calls that cost money - such as phone and fax calls.

Gatescan can also search multiple logfiles for entries pertaining to
particular people, just showing transactions relating to them.

As this program is coded in simple 'C', and requires little memory (320k or
less), then its an ideal tool for producing a sensible transaction report
on simple router machines, then posting the results back to an adminstrator.

	400k memory, PC, router

SECURExchange upgrades existing e-mail systems to support transmission of
sensitive information with complete confidence and assurance. With
SECURExchange:
    - When users receive messages, they get positive proof that

messages can only be viewed by intended recipients. Messages intercepted
by unauthorized party cannot be read.
    - Senders and recipients are completely assured that messages

The Electronic Administrator
Automates cc:Mail Administrative Functions

Product Description

The Electronic Administrator is custom designed to fit the customer's
needs. Its purpose is to automate the cc:Mail Administrator. As messages
are sent through the cc:Mail Routers, a match may be required for a
delivery notice. This match becomes easy as The Electronic Administrator
picks up these messages, matches them, and then forwards them to
pre-defined users, mailing lists or bulletin boards. In addition, The
Electronic Administrator provides a reporting facility for all messages
that have not been matched within a pre-defined time frame. The reporting
facility allows the Administrator or User to either delete the message,
resend the message, or alert the originator. Other features include
automatic routing of incoming traffic directly to pre-defined users,
mailing lists or bulletin boards, automatic printing of received fax
messages, and message text search for subject matter/recipient.

Software Requirements:
cc:Mail DOS Platform Pack v3.0 or later
cc:Mail Router (formerly cc:Mail Gateway) v3.0 or later
	cc:Mail Import/Export v3.0 or later

Postmaster General
Post Office Monitoring, Maintenance and Reporting Utility

Product Description

Postmaster General allows the cc:Mail administrator to quickly and easily
monitor the status of each of their cc:Mail post offices, including total
hard disk usage. Through its easy-to-use, non-technical interface,
Postmaster General can quickly capture and display statistics on both
cc:Mail users and post offices. Postmaster General also logs history on
both cc:Mail users and post offices for later trend analysis.

When your cc:Mail users exceed your pre-set message storage limits,
Postmaster General notifies each user with your personalized message (e.g.,
asking them to reduce their message storage). Each user's name, date and
current message storage amounts are then logged for later analysis.
Postmaster General also tracks last user login dates so you can see which
cc:Mail users are not checking their mail regularly.

Postmaster General is the only utility program that provides directory
synchronization analysis, listing users that are out of sync between post
offices. These user profiles can then be correctd by their administrators.

Postmaster General's AutoPilot mode allows for scheduled, unattended
operation during off-hours (e.g., any day of the week, time of the day or
night). During AutoPilot mode, Postmaster General automatically creates
and delivers (via cc:Mail) notices to the offending users and post office
status reports to each post office administrator. All operated from the
cc:Mail Router (a.k.a. "Gateway"), AutoPilot can automatically quit back to
the Router after it is finished.

	4MB RAM
	DOS Version 5.0 (or above)
	VGA Color Monitor
	Mouse (recommended)
