OSI Gateways

Product Description

Eicon Technology's OSI PC Gateway and OSI LAN Gateway software, with the
EiconCard - an intelligent communications adapter - provide an X.25 platform
and multiple session support for cc:Mail users. The OSI LAN Gateway is used
when several applications, besides cc:Mail, need to share the same
connection to an X.25 Network, or when there is a need to have several X.25
sessions with several instances of cc:Mail Router. The OSI PC Gateway is
used when only a single X.25 session is required for cc:Mail Router or
cc:Mail Remote.

OSI PC Gateway supports OS/2 and DOS servers, LAN PC Gateway supports OS/2,
DOS and NetWare servers. An easy-to-use mouse-driven command shell for DOS,
Windows and OS/2 allows the gateway to be managed locally or remotely from
any PC on the LAN or LAN internetwork. A complete set of commands, control,
monitor and trace the operation of all gateways from a central site, and
provide the network administrator the flexibility to use DOS, Windows and
OS/2 as gateway management stations.

Farallon PhoneNET PC v3.1 (formerly PhoneNET Talk)
Provides cc:Mail Router access to AppleShare fileservers

Product Description
Farallon PhoneNET PC(tm) v3.1 software is the AppleTalk connection for DOS
and Windows. It lets PC users take advantage of the full range for
AppleTalk network services, including laser printers, AppleShare servers and
network applications such as cc:Mail.

PhoneNET PC brings the simplicity of the Macintosh Chooser interface to DOS
and Windows. The Chooser lets users easily browse for printers and file
servers from within Windows. PhoneNET PC can even be configured so that
those resources are automatically reattached whenever the computer is
started.

PhoneNET PC supports the most popular AppleTalk printers, including Apple
LaserWriter family and compatibles and the Apple Imagewriter family.
PhoneNET PC users can access the wide range of file servers that support the
AppleTalk Filing Protocol (AFP), including AppleShare, System 7 File
Sharing, and Novell NetWare for Macintosh.

PhoneNET PC is compatible with leading Ethernet, Token Ring, and LocalTalk
network Adaptors. It can run concurrently with other networking protocols
such as IPX and TCP/IP from Novell through its adherence to the ODI
specification.

Farallon Timbuktu for Windows v1.1
The easiest way to network Macs and PCs to share files, printers and screens

Product Description
Now you can share printers, exchange files, and even control another Mac or
PC over the network. Easy to install, easy to use, Farallon's Timbuktu fro
Windows is the perfect cross-platform solution for workgroups. Timbuktu for
Windows includes PhoneNET PC, the AppleTalk connection for DOS and Windows.

It's easy to use. With Timbuktu, you can send a file by simply pointing and
clicking. There's no server to mount, and no gateway to go through. Now PC
users can select and user the same popular network printers and files
servers that Mac users have always enjoyed. It's all done through an
intuitive interface that brings Mac networking simplicity to Windows. The
Timbuktu for Windows PhoneNET kit even includes a LocalTalk network card to
provide a complete network in a box for a PC.

It works with what you've got. Of course, if you want to user a server,
Timbuktu allows you to do that, too. PC users can access AppleShare, System
7 file servers, and other AFP compatible servers from vendors such as
Novell. In fact, Novell users can run Timbuktu for Windows and NetWare
simultaneously. With Timbuktu, Mac and PC users can share AppleTalk
compatible printers and network applications including cc:Mail. Timbuktu
runs over any AppleTalk network including Ethernet, Token Ring and LocalTalk.

It lets you work in new ways. With Timbuktu, you can show a colleague
what's on your screen, even in full color. A Windows user can see exactly
what's on a Mac screen - and even control that Mac with his own mouse and
keyboard. Mac users can connect to Windows machines just as easily. It's
the ideal way to work with a colleague or support a user without having to
be there.

PC/TCP
Used with cc:Mail Router for efficient TCP/IP WANs

Product Description
PC/TCP enables PC users running DOS, Windows or OS/2 to access files on a
wide variety of computers, run applications, utilize network printers and
back up hard disks. PC/TCP is the most complete implementation of the
TCP/IP protocol suite available for DOS, Windows, and OS/2 users.

The DOS implementation of cc:Mail Router (formerly cc:Mail Gateway), v3.21
or later, has special support for PC/TCP. Using PC/TCP, cc:Mail Routers can
talk to each other over the very popular TCP/IP protocol. This capability
means that Wide Area Networks that use TCP/IP can be efficiently used to
connect cc:Mail into a seamless system in much the same way that dial up
asynchronous modems are often used.

Hardware Requirements
LAN Card supporting Packet Driver, NDIS, ODI, Token Ring, SLIP, PPP
and X.25.

Software Requirements
cc:Mail Router (formerly cc:Mail Gateway), v3.21 or later (DOS
	implementation)

OfficePath
Connecting multi-platform office systems without DISOSS

Product Description

For customers who have mainframe based MVS office systems such as
OfficeVision/MVS or CA email, interconnecting other email packages used to
require DISOSS as a pre-requisite. Now using OfficePath/SNADS
interconnection between cc:Mail, other Lan based email, OfficeVision/MVS or
PS/CICS, Office/400, Soft*Switch or any SNADS compatible system is possible
using OfficePath instead of DISOSS. This gives a large saving in mainframe
utilization and software license charges.

OfficePath allows host based CICS and TSO/batch applications to distribute
information to any connected email user, such as batch reports.

OfficePath has a range optional components providing access to fax, X.400
and the InterNet.
