InterConnect Server

Product Description

Eicon Technology's InterConnect Server (ICS) is a flexible and
cost-effective solution that connects remote branch offices to corporate
information systems. ICS allows simultaneous access to mission-critical
SNA hosts and LAN-based corporate information systems, while providing an
X.25 platform for messaging and workgroup applications such as Lotus Notes
and cc:Mail. ICS consolidates a multiprotocol gateway, router, SNA data
link conversion and concentration and an X.25 Switch/PAD, into a single
manageable connectivity solution.

ICS allows for simultaneous direct connectivity to SNA hosts, to IP, IPX,
and Appletalk LANs, and to X.25-attached hosts and servers. It supports a
range of WAN protocols such as X.25, HDLC, SDLC, PPP, Frame Relay, and
ISDN. ICS offers manageable connectivity with both remote SNMP management
and NetView-based administration in a seamlessly integrated platform. As a
server-based solution, ICS is an open platform that adapts to evolving
technology, and easily incorporates software upgrades and integrates t
hird-party applications and new users.
