Adding and removing library references

To include libraries in an application or library, add project references to the application or library.

Before you start:
Ensure that you have completed the following tasks.

An application contains all the resources that you need to build a business solution. A library contains a set of resources that you reuse for different solutions. To include one or more libraries of resources in your application, you create references to those libraries. An application or library can refer to one or more libraries.

If you deploy a library embedded in an application (the application refers to the library), and that library is not deployed to an execution group separately, the library is private; the library is not accessible to other applications or message flows outside the referring application. If you deploy a library separately to an execution group, that library is shared, and is accessible to other resources that are deployed to that execution group and not contained in an application.

The following steps describe how to add and remove library references.
