Running the Set Cookie HTTP Reply sample
After you have imported and deployed the sample, you can run it by using the following instructions.
If you encounter any problems when you run the sample, see
Resolving problems when running samples
in the WebSphere Message Broker documentation.
This sample uses the message flow SetCookie_HTTPReply. To send HTTP requests use the following steps
or download, and use, any freeware HTTP client such as "Net Tool".
To run the sample:
- Deploy the httpheadernodesample.bar BAR file.
The sample wizard performs the deployment automatically if you select the
"Import and deploy" option for the sample.
- Perform an HTTP request at http://localhost:7080/setHTTPReply.WS,
setting the name field in the query string, by using an Internet browser that is cookie enabled
(such as Microsoft IE, Mozilla Firefox, or SeaMonkey. For example; write the following URL with the
data in the Microsoft IE address field:
http://localhost:7080/setHTTPReply.WS?name=James
- When the request is complete, the browser contains a cookie called "Customer Name"
with the value
Customer1:127.0.0.1:7080/setHTTPReply.WS
The sample is complete if all of the previous steps are successful.
