Uninstall the WebSphere® Message Broker Toolkit without user interaction.
For information about alternative
modes that are available, see How to install and uninstall the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit.
Complete
the following steps:
- Log on to the computer on which WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit is installed. You have the
option to uninstall with a user ID that does not have root or administrator
authority.
- If you choose a user ID that does not have root
or administrator authority, then prior to uninstalling a user with
root or administer authority must run the following
script file from the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit home
directory:
<WMBT80_Home>/wmbt/postconfig/preUninstall_admin.sh
<WMBT80_Home>\wmbt\postconfig\preUninstall_admin.bat
- To silently uninstall the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit, start IBM® Installation Manager by using the supplied
script files.
- Navigate to the uninstallation directory and run the script file:
package_group_dir/uninstall/uninstallMB-silent.shFor
example:
/opt/IBM/WMBT800/uninstall/uninstallMB-silent.sh
package_group_dir\uninstall\uninstallMB-silent.batFor example, on Windows XP:
C:\Program
Files\IBM\WMBT800\uninstall\uninstallMB-silent.bat
- When the process completes, check the log file for errors. The file YYYYMMDD_TIME.xml is written to
the following directory:
/var/ibm/InstallationManager/logs.
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application
Data\IBM\Installation Manager\logs where %ALLUSERSPROFILE% is
the environment variable that defines the system working directory. The default directory depends on the operating
system.- On Windows XP
and Windows Server 2003: C:\Documents
and Settings\All Users\IBM\Installation Manager\logs.
- On later Windows operating systems: C:\ProgramData\IBM\Installation
Manager\logs.
Your computer might not use the standard
value; use %ALLUSERSPROFILE% to ensure that you access
the correct location.
- Restart your computer to complete the uninstallation of
the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit.
- Delete the uninstallation directory if it still exists.
