WebSphere Message Broker
The package includes product code for all supported distributed operating systems, plus other optional software and documentation:
WebSphere Message Broker for z/OS
The package includes product code for the z/OS operating system on tape, plus other optional software and documentation. In addition, you receive WebSphere Message Broker for Linux on x86, Linux on x86-64, and Windows, because the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit is available only on those operating systems.
The electronic images that you can download have equivalent content.

Notes 1 and 3 in information center topic bh44965_ Supported migration paths are missing the following highlighted text:
1. You can migrate WebSphere Message Broker Version 6.1 at Fix Pack 3 (Version 6.1.0.3) or later. You must upgrade your Version 6.1 installation to use WebSphere MQ Version 7.0.1 before migration.

Migrating publish/subscribe information from WebSphere Message
Broker to WebSphere MQ using the migmbbrk command requires
APAR IZ63802.
IZ63802 will be available in WebSphere MQ Version 7.0.1.1.
Migrating publish/subscribe information from WebSphere Message
Broker to WebSphere MQ using the migmbbrk command requires
APAR PK97972.
Information center topic ah61170_ Removing obsolete messages from error processing is being extended to include new and reused messages in addition to deleted messages. It will be renamed Updating error processing routines. The updated content for this topic is available at http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=849&uid=swg21409374 on the WebSphere Message Broker Support Site.
In Version 6.0, you can have a message set containing both non-MRM and MRM models with the message set Message Domain property set to something other than 'MRM' or 'IDOC', and generate a .dictionary file when the message set is added to a bar file, regardless of the Message Domain setting.
In Version 6.1 and Version 7.0, a dictionary is generated only if Message Domain is 'MRM' or 'IDOC'.
Solution:
Select the MRM check box under the message set Supported message domains property.
Symptoms:
When migrating the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit and its resources, you might see items such as the previous toolkits options in menus, which have been removed since the last delivery.
Solution:
When opening the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit and the Broker Application Development perspective, click Window > Reset Perspective to ensure that all views and menus are updated for Version 7.0.
This issue is resolved in Version 6.1.0.4 (Fix Pack 4).
Symptoms:
Coexistence of a Version 6.1 WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit with a Version 7.0 toolkit might display a Version 7.0 splash screen when starting the Version 6.1 toolkit.
Solution:
This problem applies to Version 6.1 toolkit versions up to and including V6.1.0.3.
The following text shows the correct text for this step:
On Linux on x86, you do not need root authority to complete verification. You cannot launch the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit from the installation wizard because if you were to create resources such as brokers when you are logged in as root, you might experience problems during operation and this option is therefore unavailable.
Log off from the user ID with which you have installed the product. Log in as the same ID (if this is not root), or log in as another ID, but do not become root.
Launch the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit from the main menu or run the script file provided. On a command line, navigate to the root directory of the package group and enter the following command:

You can also run the application directly if you prefer:
./eclipse -product
com.ibm.etools.msgbroker.tooling.ide
However, you must set the LD_LIBRARY_PATH before running the application. For details of how to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH, see the launcher script.<<
mqsicreatebar might
require project cleanSymptoms:
When you import resources into a new workspace, error messages might display after autobuild is complete.
Solution:
In the Broker Development view, select your projects and right-click Project > Clean to rebuild the projects. After the projects are cleaned, the error messages relating to the import are removed.
Symptoms:
When you run the mqsicreatebar command and specify
a new workspace, error messages might display.
Solution:
Use the -cleanBuild option when running the mqsicreatebar command
to clean the projects.
Symptoms:
Impact Analysis does not work on artifacts if the indexing of artifacts is disabled.
Indexing of artifacts is disabled by default when you migrate a V6.x WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit workspace, or create a new workspace.
Solution:
Enable the indexing of Message Broker artifacts:
A reduction in performance might occur if indexing is enabled and you are using message set configurations with ESQL code using wildcards.
If the build time is significantly increased, disable indexing and enable indexing again as appropriate.
The following topics in the information center describe the ability to drag-and-drop elements in the Mapping Editor:
However, on Linux, the drag-and-drop function does not work correctly in the Mapping Editor. Therefore you cannot drag a source element from the Source pane to a target element in the Target pane, or drag a source element from the Source pane to the Edit pane. In addition, you cannot move elements up or down by using drag-and-drop on an element in the MapScript pane.
Alternative methods of performing these actions are documented in the information center. To move elements in the MapScript pane, you can use either Copy and Paste, or the Delete and Recreate/Populate actions.
Symptoms:
The TCP/IP nodes on Solaris x86-64 do not process data and might refuse connections.
Solution:
If you experience these problems, set rlim_fd_max and rlim_fd_cur to 8193 or lower.
Symptoms:
During WebSphere Adapter for SAP Software Enterprise Metadata Discovery (EMD) iterative discovery, the Adapter Connection wizard Service Generation and Deployment Configuration panel displays and can be edited, however any adapter system connection information you enter will not be saved in the adapter component.
Solution:
Use the WebSphere Adapters editor to change the adapter system connection information to ensure subsequent EMD iterative discoveries preserve the adapter system connection information:
Customers using user databases on z/OS require DB2® APAR PK99362.
Globally coordinated ('XA') transactions are not supported.
JDBC/XA globally coordinated ('XA') transactions are supported on DB2 and Oracle (except Oracle RAC) on all broker platforms except HP-UX on Itanium® and z/OS.
ODBC XA and JDBC/XA cannot be mixed on the same broker.
Informix globally coordinated ('XA') transactions are not supported.
Several samples are run by using WebSphere MQ queues; examples include the XSL Transform and JavaCompute Node samples.
Symptoms:
If you open a test message (.mbtest file) that is
configured to use MQ queues in the message flow, and click Invoke or Invoke
Message Flow to send a Web service, an exception displays.
Solution:
Do not use the Invoke or Invoke Message Flow options in the Test Client with test messages that are configured to use MQ queues; use the Enqueue and Dequeue options as appropriate.
Symptoms:
When running some of the samples you might experience a deployment location error in the Test Client. For example:
“Starting the ‘Test Client' has encountered a problem. Can not resolve the deployment location. Select deployment location again.”
This only affects the samples that use the Invoke or Invoke Message Flow options in the Test Client.
Solution:
i. Click Change in the Deployment section of the Configuration tab.
ii. Use the Select Deployment Location wizard to change the deployment location to the corresponding execution group for the sample that you are using.
Example deployment details:
Host <localhost>
Port <0>
Broker <broker_name>
Execution group <ExecutionGroup>
where:
localhost is a local broker.
0 is not using Internet Protocol network as transport.
broker_name is the name of the broker.
ExecutionGroup is the appropriate execution group for the sample.
