Installing locally on Windows

If you click Cancel before the Install Progress panel appears, you can exit the setup. If you choose to exit, your system returns to its state before launching the install wizard. However, if you cancel the install wizard after the Install Progress panel appears, your system is not restored to its previous state: the install wizard simply stops.

When using the wizard, you might have to wait a few seconds to move to the next panel after clicking the Next > button. Progress is not always displayed on all panels. Clicking Next > twice can cause you to skip an entire panel. To ensure the installer is progressing, you can monitor your CPU usage: CPU usage increases greatly during installation.

  1. Run setup.exe.
  2. Initializing InstallShield Wizard. This step might take a few minutes to complete.
  3. Select your language. Choose the language for the install program.
  4. Welcome. The first panel introducing the product. Click Next > to continue.
  5. Warning. If you have never installed a previous version, or if you have completed migration, select Yes and click Next > to continue. If you want to cancel the install, leave No selected and click Cancel.

  10. Select components. Select the components you want to install. You will only see this panel if you selected custom install in the previous step.

Start of changeOne of the components that you can select is the Message Brokers Toolkit for WebSphere Studio. This is Version 5.0 of the toolkit. If you want to integrate the toolkit with WSADIE Version 5.1, you must install Version 5.1 of the toolkit; Version 5.0 is incompatible. The two versions cannot coexist on the same system; you must install the correct version for your environment.End of change

Start of changeIf you have already installed Version 5.1 of the toolkit, you must clear the check box for Message Brokers Toolkit on the Select components panel, because it refers to Version 5.0 of the toolkit and its selection prevents installation of all other components (Next > is greyed out if the install program detects Version 5.1 is installed).End of change

Start of changeFor further explanation of the two versions of the toolkit, see Different versions of the Message Brokers Toolkit. End of change

  11. Start of changeWSADIE Integration. This panel is displayed only if you selected a Custom install and indicated that you want to install the toolkit. Select the check box if you want the install program to integrate the toolkit with the WSADIE workbench. Click Next > to continue.
