Using the Product Registration Tool (Windows only)

Run the Product Registration Tool (PRT) to register your company with IBM Software Delivery and Fulfillment. You can run the PRT from two locations:
  • Navigate to the prt directory on your CD and run the file PRT5724E26.exe
  • Or, navigate to the prt directory in the product's install directory and run the file PRT5724E26.exe.
Next work through the PRT panels. If you click Exit at any time, you will be offered the choice of registering in the future. Make your selection and then click Yes to exit or No to return to the PRT.
  1. Contact Information. Complete all the empty fields. You can also view the privacy statement from this panel. Click Next to continue.
  2. System Information. Your current system's specifications are displayed. If you wish to include these in your registration, select Yes, otherwise select No. Click Next to continue.
  3. Additional Information. You can add further information in this panel. You can review your entries by clicking Back at any time. When have completed entering your information, click Submit to send your registration information through a modem connection. If a modem connection does not exist, the following three options will be offered.
    1. Prompt me to register in the future. The PRT will run the next time your machine is rebooted.
    2. Submit now Ensure that your Internet connection is active.
    3. Print and register by mail or fax. A Print panel will open allowing you to choose a suitable print format (recommended single sided, portrait) and printer. The printed document includes fax and mail address details.
If you have installed IBM WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker, you are not required to run the IBM WebSphere Business Integration Event Broker PRT. However, if you have upgraded from WebSphere Business Integration Event Broker to WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker, and have already registered WebSphere Business Integration Event Broker you will still need to register WebSphere Business Integration Message Broker.
