If you have a mapping file currently in one message flow project that you want to reuse in another message flow project, you can copy it from one to the other. You can only associate a mapping file with a node of the same type as the one for which it was created. The following steps show you how to copy an existing mapping file (.mfmap) from one message flow project to another.
If this is the first mapping file to exist in the message flow project, the copied file could be highlighted with errors. Remove these errors by creating a project reference. To create a project reference, create another mapping file from within the new project, as described in Creating a mapping file, ensuring that you click Next and add the project reference in the Add Message for Mapping wizard.
Alternatively, you can right-click the project that has the copied file and select the Properties dialog. From the dialog, select the Project References link, and choose the projects on which they depend.
