The Customization Input File (CIF or mqsicompcif) holds configuration data needed to customize a component on z/OS.
Each component has its own copy of the CIF in its component directory. The contents of the CIF are used to configure shell scripts, JCL, and data files. You need to edit this file; use Customization planning checklist for z/OS to collect your values before attempting to do this. An example CIF is shown in Example Customization Input File (mqsicompcif).
