Types of installation

There are three different methods of installing:

Installing locally

The most common method to install WebSphere Business Integration Event Broker is directly from the product CD.

Installing silently

You can run a silent installation of WebSphere Business Integration Event Broker. A silent installation means that no user interaction is expected during the install. It is typically used where you need to install multiple copies of a software program on many, identical machines. Such machines might be remote to the installer.

DB2 is not installed when WebSphere Business Integration Event Broker is installed silently. Refer to your DB2 documentation for details of how to run a silent installation of DB2.

Installing over a network

You can make the WebSphere Business Integration Event Broker installation files accessible on a LAN server.
