Adding a case mapping

You can add a case mapping in the following way, having defined both your source and target. Case mappings are available only for message-targeted mappings.

  1. From the Source view, select either one of the source or target fields to which you want to add a case mapping.
  2. Right-click the selected field, and from the pop-up menu select Create Case Mapping.
  3. The Compose Expression editor is displayed and you can enter the desired case conditions for mapping into the Condition field. The default behavior at this point is for the source to be mapped directly onto the target.
  4. Once you have entered the new conditions, click OK to return to the Mapping view.
An alternative method for adding a case mapping is:
  1. Select the mapping sources and target values that you want to map.
  2. Right-click the selected values and select Create Case Mapping from the pop-up menu.
  3. The Compose Expression editor is displayed and you can enter the desired case conditions for mapping into the Condition field. The default behavior at this point is for the source to be mapped directly onto the target.
  4. Once you have entered the new conditions, click OK to return to the Mapping view.

In the Compose Expression editor, you can add mapping expressions that refer to sources and targets that have not been included as mapping inputs.
