IBM Agent Controller is a daemon process that provides the mechanism by which client applications either launch new host processes, or attach to agents that coexist within existing host processes. Agent Controller is used in WebSphere Business Integration Event Broker for debugging purposes.
You must ensure Agent Controller is installed before you can use the flow debugger. If you are debugging an execution group locally, Agent Controller must be installed on the local system. If you are debugging an execution group remotely, Agent Controller must be installed on the remote system on which your broker is running. Install Agent Controller from the WebSphere Business Integration Brokers Support Web page.
If you want to install Agent Controller on a separate system, download Agent Controller from the WebSphere Business Integration Brokers Support Web page and install the correct package for your platform. You can then follow the instructions for the appropriate operating system. Ensure you are logged in as root.
You are highly recommended to install Agent Controller behind a firewall and to stop the Agent Controller service if you do not use the flow debugger.
Refer to the instructions about installing Agent Controller on your platform:
