Modifying a configurable service
Use the WebSphere® Message Broker Explorer to view and modify existing configurable services.
You can modify all the properties of an existing configurable service, except for the name.
To modify a configurable service:
- In the Navigator view, expand the broker on which you want to modify a configurable service.
- Expand the Configurable Services folder. If you want to modify an IBM® defined configurable service that is not displayed, right-click the Configurable Services folder, and click Show IBM Templates. The predefined services are displayed in the Configurable Services folder.
- Right-click the configurable service that you want to modify, and click Properties. The Configurable services window is displayed.
- Enter values for the configurable service properties. The properties are populated with default values.
- Click OK to update the configurable service.
For most types of configurable service, your changes will take effect from the next time a message flow that uses the configurable service is called. For some types of configurable service, for which it is explicitly stated in the documentation, you must stop and start the execution group for the change to take effect. For more information, see Configurable services properties.
