cniSetElementName

Use this function to set the name of the specified syntax element.

Syntax

void cniSetElementName(
  int*            returnCode,
  CciElement*     targetElement,
  const CciChar*  name);

Parameters

returnCode
The return code from the function (output).
Possible return codes are:
  • CCI_SUCCESS
  • CCI_EXCEPTION
  • CCI_INV_ELEMENT_OBJECT
  • CCI_INV_DATA_POINTER
targetElement
The address of the target syntax element object (input).
name
The name of the element (input).

Return values

None. If an error occurs, the returnCode parameter indicates the reason for the error.

Example

    CciElement* lastChild = cniCreateElementAsLastChild(&rc, outRootElement);
    cniSetElementName(&rc, lastChild, elementName);
    cniSetElementType(&rc, lastChild, CCI_ELEMENT_TYPE_NAME);
