Creating resources in a library

You can create resources such as message flows, maps, adapter connections, and CORBA IDL files in an application or library.

Before you start:

This topic assumes that you have created a library. For more details, see Creating a library.

A library is a container for resources that you want to reuse for multiple solutions. You can create resources such as message flows, maps, broker schemas, and database definitions. You can also generate message models and import resources such as CORBA IDL files, SCA files, XSLT files, and PHP files.

Creating resources

To create resources in your library, complete the following steps.
  1. Click File > New. (Alternatively, in the Broker Development view, right-click a library, then click New.)
  2. Select the resource to create. You can create the following resources:
    • Message flow
    • Message model
    • Message map
    • ESQL file
    • Broker schema
    • Adapter connection
    • Database definition
    • BAR file
    • Test Client

The appropriate wizard opens; for example, the New Message Flow wizard.

  3. If the library name is not already provided, select it from the list of available libraries.
  4. Follow the instructions in the wizard, then click Finish.

The new resource is displayed under the library in the Broker Development view.

Creating message models

To create message models in your library, complete the following steps.
  1. In the Broker Development view, click New. (Alternatively, right-click the library, then click New.)
  2. Click Message Model. The New Message Model wizard opens.
  3. Select the type of message model to create. You can select one of the following types:
    • SOAP XML
    • Other XML
    • CSV text
    • Record-oriented text
    • COBOL
    • C
    • Other text or binary
    • SAP
    • Siebel
    • PeopleSoft
    • JD Edwards
    • CORBA IDL
    • Database record
    • MIME
    • IBM® supplied

The appropriate wizard opens; for example, if you select SAP, the Adapter Connection wizard.

  4. Follow the instructions in the wizard, then click Finish.

The new resource is displayed under the library in the Broker Development view.
