Providing user-defined properties to control behavior

User-defined properties can be set at design time, deployment time, or run time.

For example, user-defined properties can be queried, discovered, and set at run time to dynamically change the behavior of a message flow. You can use the Message Broker API (also known as the CMP API) to manipulate these properties, which can be used by a systems monitoring tool to perform automated actions in response to situations that it detects in the monitored systems.
