Verifying your installation
You can verify that IBM® WebSphere® Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare is installed successfully by using the WebSphere Message Broker components that you enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare.
- Complete the installation steps, using one of the methods in Installing
- Ensure that you completed the steps in Completing post-installation steps
- Verify that the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit is enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare
- Verify that WebSphere Message Broker runtime environment is enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare
- Verify that WebSphere Message Broker Explorer is enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare
Verify that the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit is enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare
To verify that the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit is enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare, complete the following steps:
- Open the WebSphere Message
Broker Toolkit.
On Windows, click , where version is the version number of WebSphere Message Broker that you are using.
On Linux, start WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit from the main menu or run the script file provided. On a command line, navigate to the root directory of the package group and enter the following command:
./launcher
- To verify that the healthcare patterns are installed in the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit, click the Patterns Explorer tab, then click Healthcare.
- To verify that the MedicalDeviceInput node is installed in the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit, create a message flow and add a MedicalDeviceInput node to it. If you can drag the MedicalDeviceInput node onto the canvas, the node is installed successfully.
- To verify that the IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare information
center is installed in WebSphere Message
Broker Toolkit,
click , then, in the table of contents, click IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare.
If you can see the IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare information center, it is installed successfully.
Verify that WebSphere Message Broker runtime environment is enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare
- Open a command prompt. If you can see the mqsiprofile extended
for Healthcare MedicalDeviceInput node message, the WebSphere Message Broker runtime
environment is enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare. If you cannot see this message,
ensure that the MedicalDeviceInput install
script is in the correct folder in your work path; see Completing post-installation steps.
To open a command prompt, complete the following steps:
On Windows, open a command console by clicking , where version is the version number of WebSphere Message Broker for which you want to use IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare.
On Linux, initialize the command environment by running the mqsiprofile command.
Deploy a message flow that contains a MedicalDeviceInput node.
For information about how to configure a MedicalDeviceInput node, see Configuring a MedicalDeviceInput node. For information about how to deploy a MedicalDeviceInput node, see Deploying a message flow that contains a MedicalDeviceInput node. If you can deploy the message flow, the WebSphere Message Broker runtime environment is enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare.
Verify that WebSphere Message Broker Explorer is enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare
To verify that WebSphere Message Broker Explorer is enabled for IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare, complete the following steps:
- Make sure you are logged on as a user with root or administrator authority.
- Start the WebSphere Message Broker Explorer.
On Windows, click , where version is the version number of WebSphere Message Broker that you are using.
On Linux, enter the strmqcfg command on a command line, or run /usr/bin/strmqcfg.
- To verify that the Healthcare Operational Monitoring view is installed
in the WebSphere Message Broker Explorer, click .
If you can see the Healthcare Operational Monitoring view, it is installed successfully. You might need to close the Welcome page to see other views.
- To verify that the IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare information
center is installed in the WebSphere Message Broker Explorer,
click , then in the table of contents, click IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare.
If you can see the IBM WebSphere Message Broker Connectivity Pack for Healthcare information center, it is installed successfully.
