Editing a measurement set

In the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node, use the WebSphere® Message Broker Explorer to edit a measurement set to change the intervals of measurements collected by a medical device.

Before you start:
  1. Add a measurement set. To add a measurement set, you must use the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit; see Editing the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node by using the WebSphere Message Broker Toolkit and Adding a measurement set.
  2. Open the Medical Device Configurable Service editor to edit the configurable service for your MedicalDeviceInput node. See Editing the configurable service for a MedicalDeviceInput node by using the WebSphere Message Broker Explorer.
In an existing measurement set, you can change the notes and tags. You can also change the interval, notes, and tags for existing measurements within a measurement set. You can filter the list of measurement sets to help you select the correct measurement set to edit.
In the Medical Device Configurable Service editor, in the Measurement Sets table, you can expand or collapse the list of measurement sets, filter the list, and select the columns you want to display in the table:
  • To expand the list of measurement sets to show the measurement and measurement set information for all measurement sets, click the Expand All icon.
  • To collapse the list of measurement sets to show only the measurement set information, click the Collapse All icon.
  • To select the columns to show in the Measurement Sets table, click the Column Preferences icon. You can show or hide columns:
    • To show a column that is currently hidden, select the required column in the Hide list and click >>. The column title is displayed in the Show list.
    • To hide a column that is currently shown, select the required column in the Show list and click <<. The column title is displayed in the Hide list.
    • Click OK.
  • To filter the list of measurement sets, in the Medical Device Configurable Service editor, in the Measurement Sets area, enter text that you want to search for in the Filter field. Your filter text is searched for in all of the fields shown in the Measurement Sets table. The filter text is case sensitive. The list of measurement sets is filtered as you type.

To edit a measurement set:

  1. In the Medical Device Configurable Service editor, in the Measurement Sets table, expand the measurement set you want to edit.
  2. To change the interval of a measurement in a measurement set, click the Interval field of the measurement you want to edit. Enter the new interval value in seconds, then press Enter. Only discrete and alarm alert measurements have an interval value.
  3. To change the notes for a measurement or measurement set, click the Notes field of the measurement or measurement set you want to edit. Enter the new notes, then press Enter.
  4. To change the tags for a measurement or measurement set, click the Tags field of the measurement or measurement set you want to edit. Enter the new tags, then press Enter.
  5. To save your changes, click the Save icon in the upper right of the Medical Device Configurable Service editor.
