Running the Address Book sample with WS-Security
Before you can run the Address Book sample extension, you must have completed all of the instructions
provided in Setting up the Address Book samples to use HTTP or
Setting up the sample to use JMS transport, and Running the sample.
If you encounter any problems when you run the sample, see
Resolving problems when running samples in the WebSphere Message Broker documentation.
To run the Address Book sample extension, complete the following steps:
- In the Broker Development view, expand the AddressBook project and the Flow Tests.
- Open the AddressBookTest.mbtest file.
- Select the first Enqueue and view the XML input. This message saves the
address. Click Send Message.
This XML input is converted into a SOAP message and sent to the provider
flow by using your TCP/IP Monitor; the response is put onto the output queue.
- Select the first Dequeue and click Get Message.
View the XML. If the address has been stored, it returns a true message.
- Check the TCP/IP Monitor; it contains one of the following three pieces of information:
- The create sequence, terminate sequence, and the message number if the WS-RM policy is enabled.
- The encrypted and signed SOAP message if WS-Security is enabled.
- The create sequence, terminate sequence, message number, and the encrypted and signed SOAP message if WS-Security and WS-RM are enabled.
- Select the second Enqueue; this message looks up the address that you
have saved. Click Send.
- Select the second Dequeue and click Get Message.
View the XML; it contains the address stored in the first Enqueue.
- Check the TCP/IP Monitor; it contains either of the following three information:
- The create sequence, terminate sequence, and the message number if the WS-RM policy is enabled.
- The encrypted and signed SOAP message if WS-Security is enabled.
- The create sequence, terminate sequence, message number, and the encrypted and signed SOAP message if WS-Security and WS-RM are enabled.
- You have run the Address Book sample extension. Try looking up the addresses for people that you have
not saved, and check the outcome.
