WebSphere

Reference: Generated API and SPI documentation

This documentation provides the details of the application programming interfaces (APIs) and system programming interfaces (SPIs) that are supported by WebSphere® Process Server and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus. The packages listed in the navigation pane for WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus indicate the subset that apply to WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus.

The table of contents for the API and SPI documentation presents a package list that is organized by package name, such as com.ibm.websphere.sca.

Alternatively, you can use the search to find a package or class by its name, such as com.ibm.websphere.sca or ServiceManager.

If you want to use the WebSphere MQ classes to create custom MQ data bindings, see the WebSphere Integration Developer topic Example of custom MQ data bindings. JMS and MQ data bindings details are described in the WebSphere Integration Developer topic JMS, MQ JMS and generic JMS data bindings.

If you want to create a user-defined JMS data binding, see the WebSphere Integration Developer topic JMS data bindings.

If you want to use WSRR classes, see the API Reference in the WebSphere Service Registry and Repository V6.2 Information Center.

If you want to use commonj.sdo.DataObject classes, see the generated API information for the commonj.sdo package on the Web; for example, at http://help.eclipse.org/help32/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse.emf.ecore.sdo.doc/references/javadoc/commonj/sdo/package-summary.html.

To open the information center table of contents to the location of this reference information, click the Show in Table of Contents button (Information center navigation synchronization feature) on your information center border.

The API documentation is displayed in the topic pane of the information center. If you would like more room to view the API documentation, double-click the gray bar located above the topic pane. This will expand the topic pane, while hiding the navigation pane (the area containing the table of contents or search results list). Double-click the gray bar again when you are ready to restore the navigation pane.

For reference information about the supported APIs for WebSphere Application Server, see the Reference section of the WebSphere Application Server information center. For example, Reference > APIs - Application Programming Interfaces.
