Run the zSMPUpgrade.sh script to update WebSphere® ESB for z/OS® to a newer version.
The zSMPUpgrade.sh script is used when a new version of WebSphere ESB for z/OS is put into a different installation HFS to the one being used by an existing installation of WebSphere ESB for z/OS. In this situation the WebSphere ESB for z/OS configuration symlinks are pointing to files in the old nstallation HFS and must be updated to point to the new location. The zSMPUpgrade.sh script changes the symlinks of the service directory and the install scripts in the configuration HFS to point to the new installation HFS. When the server is started, the applyPTF process recognises the new files and applies service to the configuration HFS by changing the rest of the symlinks.
Run the command from the WebSphere Process Server for z/OS path name created by the SMP/E installation. By default the location is /usr/lpp/zWESB/V6R2/zos.config/bin.
