Configure the operational widgets

The Operational page provides four widgets for analyzing the process we want to track: Diagrams, Instances, Human Tasks, and Alerts. Typically, a business manager uses the Operational page to monitor processes in the business model. Because we do not need to monitor human tasks in this scenario, we will delete the Human Tasks page. Before we use these widgets, we need to configure them.

Configure the Diagrams widget

  1. Click the down arrow on the Diagrams toolbar and then select Configure.
  2. Select a model, a monitoring context, or a Key Performance Indicator context. Specify a Refresh Rate.
  3. If you want the widget to interact with other widgets, select the Cooperative tab and then click Enable this widget to interact with other widgets.
  4. To save the settings, click OK.
The selected diagram is displayed. For example, if we selected JKLending as a model and Loan Application as a monitoring context, a diagram showing the loan process for that model is displayed.

Configure the Instances widget

  1. Click the down arrow on the Instances toolbar and then select Configure.
  2. Select a Monitoring context.
  3. From the Available box, select one or more columns to display and add them to the Selected box.
  4. Specify the number of rows to display.
  5. Specify the Refresh Rate.
  6. If you want this to be the default monitoring context, press Set as Default.
  7. You can also specify values for filtering, sorting and formatting the widget using the provided tabs.
  8. If you want the widget to interact with other widgets, select the Cooperative tab and then click Enable this widget to interact with other widgets.
  9. To save the settings, click OK.

Configure the Alerts widget

  1. Click the down arrow on the Alerts toolbar and then select Configure.
  2. Select the colors you want to display for read and unread alerts.
  3. Specify a value for the number of rows to display.
  4. Specify a refresh rate.
  5. Select Display the situation events in the events details window.
  6. If you want the widget to interact with other widgets, select the Cooperative tab and then click Enable this widget to interact with other widgets.
  7. To save the settings, click OK.

Delete human tasks

Click the down arrow on the Human Tasks toolbar and then click the delete icon . The page is deleted.
