Use the following procedures to add or edit conditions
for an application policy.
Create a condition on a boolean concept
- In the Application Details page, select an application from the
drop box and then select a policy in the Application Policies section
of the left navigation pane. The application policy appears.
- Click Edit. The policy switches to edit
mode.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- To add a new condition, select the (no conditions,
click to add) link in the When section. The Create Condition
dialog appears.
- To edit an existing condition, select the
icon. The Edit Condition dialog appears.
- Select a boolean type concept in the Field Name box.
The possible values in the Comparator change
according to the selected concept type. For a boolean concept, the
comparator value is "equal to". The Value field
contains either "True" or "False".
- Select a value in the Value box.
- Click OK. The condition is added to the
When section.
- To save the updated policy to the Fabric repository, click Save.
To exit without saving any changes, click Cancel.
Create a condition on a date concept
- In the Application Details page, select an application from the
drop box and then select a policy in the Application Policies section
of the left navigation pane. The application policy appears.
- Click Edit. The policy switches to edit
mode.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- To add a new condition, select the (no conditions specified,
click here to add) link in the When section. The Create
Condition dialog appears.
- To edit an existing condition, select the
icon. The Edit Condition dialog appears.
- Select a date type concept in the Field Name box.
The possible values in the Comparator change
according to the selected concept type. For integer or float concepts,
the available comparators are:
- "on"
- "before"
- "after"
- "on or before"
- "on or after"
The Value field is an edit box with a
calendar picker at the end
- Enter a date in the Value box or select
a date using the date picker.
- Click OK. The condition is added to the
When section.
- To save the updated policy to the Fabric repository, click Save.
To exit without saving any changes, click Cancel.
Create a condition on a decimal or integer concept
- In the Application Details page, select an application from the
drop box and then select a policy in the Application Policies section
of the left navigation pane. The application policy appears.
- Click Edit. The policy switches to edit
mode.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- To add a new condition, select the (no conditions specified,
click here to add) link in the When section. The Create
Condition dialog appears.
- To edit an existing condition, select the
icon. The Edit Condition dialog appears.
- Select a float or integer type concept in the Field
Name box. The possible values in the Comparator change
according to the selected concept type. For integer or float concepts,
the available comparators are:
- "is equal to"
- "is not equal to"
- "is less than"
- "is less or equal to"
- "is greater than"
- "is greater or equal to"
- Select an item in the Value box.
- Click OK. If the Value field
is less than the Minimum value or greater than the Maximum value specified
for the concept, an error will appear that indicates the value is
not valid. If the validation passes, the condition is added to the
When section and the dialog closes.
- To save the updated policy to the Fabric repository, click Save.
To exit without saving any changes, click Cancel.
Create a condition on an enumeration concept
- In the Application Details page, select an application from the
drop box and then select a policy in the Application Policies section
of the left navigation pane. The application policy appears.
- Click Edit. The policy switches to edit
mode.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- To add a new condition, select the (no conditions specified,
click here to add) link in the When section. The Create
Condition dialog appears.
- To edit an existing condition, select the
icon. The Edit Condition dialog appears.
- Select an enumeration type concept in the Field Name box.
The possible values in the Comparator change
according to the selected concept type. For enumeration concepts,
the available comparators are:
- "is equal to"
- "is not equal to"
- "in"
- "not in"
- Depending on the selected comparator, select one or more items
in the Value box.
- Click OK. The condition is added to the
When section and the dialog closes.
- To save the updated policy to the Fabric repository, click Save.
To exit without saving any changes, click Cancel.
Create a condition on a string concept
- In the Application Details page, select an application from the
drop box and then select a policy in the Application Policies section
of the left navigation pane. The application policy appears.
- Click Edit. The policy switches to edit
mode.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- To add a new condition, select the (no conditions specified,
click here to add) link in the When section. The Create
Condition dialog appears.
- To edit an existing condition, select the
icon. The Edit Condition dialog appears.
- Select an string type concept in the Field Name box.
The possible values in the Comparator change
according to the selected concept type. For string concepts, the
available comparators are:
- "is equal to"
- "is not equal to"
- "like"
- "not like"
- Enter text in the Value box.
- Click OK. The condition is added to the
When section and the dialog closes.
- To save the updated policy to the Fabric repository, click Save.
To exit without saving any changes, click Cancel.
