Bookmarks

You can save and load bookmarks for different reports, or set a specific view of a report as your default view. This is helpful if you have a report that you frequently view.

When using Mozilla Firefox to view your dashboards, you must configure the browser to all pop-up messages. From the Mozilla Firefox toolbar, click Tools > Options > Content and either clear the Block pop-up windows check box or add your dashboard URL to the Exceptions list.

Saving a bookmark

  1. Drill down to a specific view of a report.
  2. Click Save Bookmark. The Save Bookmark window opens.
  3. Enter a name for the bookmark.
  4. Optional: Enter a description of what you are bookmarking.
  5. Optional: Change the visibility access of the bookmark from private to public. (The default is private.)
  6. To save the bookmark and close the window, click Save. To exit without saving the bookmark, click Cancel.

Loading a bookmark

  1. When viewing a report, click Load Bookmark. The Load Bookmark window opens.
  2. Select a bookmark from the list.
  3. Click Load to load the bookmark. To exit without loading a bookmark, click Cancel.

Setting default views

To set a specific view of a report as your default:
  1. Drill down to a specific view of a report.
  2. To save the report view, click Set as Default.

The next time you open the dashboard, your set default report view will be displayed. If you do not log out, but want to return to your default report, load the bookmark named SavedViewBkmk. However, if you change your settings while in configure mode, your default report will be reset.

To set a specific view of a dimension as the shared default:

When you set a specific view of a report as the "shared default", it will be the default view for all users who have not yet personalized the Reports widget.
  1. Drill down to a specific view of a report.
  2. To save the view, click Set Shared Default.
The shared default is used until a user sets his own default bookmark.
