Human Tasks reference information

The Human Tasks widget uses buttons, icons, and filtering options to specify the visual settings and the displayed values of runtime business metrics.

Properties

You can choose which properties to show or hide, as well as filtering and defining sortable properties using Personalize mode.

Table 1. Properties
Property Description
Human Task Instance ID The instance ID for the Human Task.
Claim Time The date and time that the task was claimed.
Completion Time The date and time that the task was completed.
Creation Time The date and time the task was created.
Task Name The name given to the task by the creator.
Owner The ID of the user that currently owns the task.
Status The current state of the task (Waiting to be Started, Ready to be Assigned, Complete, Failed, Expired, Forwarded, Working).
Type Indicates whether the task is from an inline application or a standalone application
Description The description of the task.
Expired True or False. Indicates if the task has passed the expiration date set when the task was created. If the task is marked as expired, you cannot work on it anymore. The task status remains unchanged.
On Hold Indicates if the task is currently suspended or on hold.
Escalated Indicates if the task is currently in escalation. Escalation occurs when a task is not claimed within a specific time frame. This escalation value is set during task creation.
Completed Indicates if the task is completed.
Parent ID For an inline application, the Process ID is the Parent ID. For a standalone application, the ID can either be the process or another task.
Valid From Date The date for the version of the task or the process template being used for this task.
Follow-on ID What is the next task that needs to completed. Points to the task that is next.
Waiting for Subtask Indicates that the task has a subtask that must be completed before this task can be completed.
Parent Task Instance ID The ID of the parent task if this is a follow-on task or a subtask.
Transfer Counter The number of times the task has been transferred.
Escalation Counter The number of time the task has been escalated.
Lifetime The amount of time from when the task was created to when the task is completed. If the task is not completed yet, the time reflects that current time elapsed from when the task was created. The value is displayed in days, hours, minutes, seconds.
Work Duration The amount of time from when the task was claimed to when the task is complete. If the task is not completed yet, the time reflects that current time elapsed from when the task was claimed. The value is displayed in days, hours, minutes, seconds.
Template Name The name of the process or standalone human task.
Queue Time How long the task has been waiting to be claimed.

Icons and buttons

The following table lists buttons and icons found in one or more of the Configure, Edit and View modes.

Actions Button
Lists the actions that can be taken on a task:
  • Assign task to user ID
  • Claim
  • Release
  • Transfer task to user ID
  • Active
  • Complete
  • On Hold
When you assign or transfer tasks from the Actions button, a text input field for the new task owner's name displays above the Human Task list.
View
OK Button Saves your changes and returns you to View mode. Edit (all tabs)
Apply Button Saves your changes but keeps you in edit mode. Edit (all tabs)
Cancel Button Discards your current changes and returns you to View mode. All changes that you saved by clicking Apply are kept. Edit (all tabs)
Up Button Use this to move a specific column up in the Selected list on the Show/Hide tab. Edit (Show/Hide tab)
Down Button Use this to move a specific column down in the Selected list on the Show/Hide tab. Edit (Show/Hide tab)
< Button Use this button to move selected items from the list on the right to the list on the left. Edit (Show/Hide and Sort tabs)
<< Button Use this button to move all the items in the list on the right to the list on the left. Edit (Show/Hide and Sort tabs)
> Button Use this button to move selected items from the list on the left to the list on the right. Edit (Show/Hide and Sort tabs)
>> Button Use this button to move all the items in the list on the left to the list on the right. Edit (Show/Hide and Sort tabs)
Add Button Use this button to add a filter. Edit (Filter tab)
Delete Button Use this button to delete a filter. Edit (Filter tab)
Case Sensitive Check box Select this option if you require the filter to be case sensitive. Edit (Filter tab)
Ascending Descending Radio Buttons Select how to order the list. Edit (Sort tab)
Default Sort Button Use this button to specify that one of the sortable metrics is the default sort metric. The Human Tasks table is automatically sorted using this default sort metric whenever you load Human Tasks. Edit (Sort tab)
