How dimensional data is displayed

The manner in which you display your data in Dimensions depends on your selection of row, column, and page dimensions. Those parameters display the selected dimensions in tables and charts.

Dimensions provides a number of additional dimensions that can be used in your multidimensional report of a selected cube. Creation Time and Termination Time are two default dimensions that can be used in Dimensions. These dimensions are not defined by the user in the monitor model, but rather calculated at run time by Monitor Server. As time dimensions, each can be drilled down to levels of year, month, and day.

The Measures dimension encompasses all the aggregate business measures. Among the included business measures, the InstancesCount measure is created and calculated at run time for the selected cube.

Before the multidimensional analysis report for business activities in Dimensions can be generated, you must perform the following tasks:

With the use of AlphaBlox, you can modify the layout of the dimensions of the generated report, drill down to all levels of a dimension, and create bookmarks of your current dimensional report.
