Build a service gateway

A service gateway acts as a proxy to a variety of different services. All service requesters interact with a single endpoint address exposed by the gateway. The gateway is responsible for performing a common operation on every message and routing the request to the correct service provider.

WebSphere® Integration Developer provides a wizard for service gateway patterns; the wizard accelerates the development of a gateway by providing a template that can be customized. The instructions in the subtopics assume that you are not using the service gateway pattern wizard.
