You can uninstall the IBM® WebSphere® Process Server V6.2 and WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus V6.2
Feature Pack by running the feature pack uninstall command
from a System i® server.
Before you begin
Before you uninstall the feature pack, make sure the following
are true:
- You have a valid installation of the IBM WebSphere Process Server V6.2 and WebSphere Enterprise
Service Bus V6.2
Feature Pack.
- You have manually removed all of the widgets from feature packs
from the existing profiles. For more information, refer to Removing feature pack widgets.
- You perform the uninstallation from a System i server. You cannot uninstall the
feature pack remotely, for example, from a Windows® workstation. You must uninstall the
feature pack from a System i server
using a local command-line uninstallation.
- Your user profile has the *ALLOBJ and *SECADM special authorities.
Procedure
- Log on to the i5/OS® system
with a user profile that has *ALLOBJ and *SECADM special
authorities.
- Stop the server from which you are uninstalling the feature
pack.
- Run the following command from the Qshell command line
in the install_root/uninstall.wpswesbfep directory:
uninstall -silent
Uninstalling the
feature pack from the System
i server removes feature pack libraries and directories.
- Review the log file (log.txt). It is located
in the install_root/logs/wpswesbfep/uninstall directory.
Results
The uninstaller uninstalls the feature pack.
If the
uninstaller detects that the server is running, the uninstallation
process fails and logs the details in the log file. Manually stop
the server, and then repeat the uninstallation process.
If the
feature pack does not uninstall successfully, examine the logs in
the install_root/logs/wpswesbfep/uninstall/log.txt file
to identify the cause of the problem. Correct the problem and try
uninstalling the feature pack again.
