This information applies to feature pack. To use what is described, you must have installed the optional feature pack Uninstalling feature pack maintenance packages from z/OS

You can uninstall interim fixes and fix packs, collectively known as maintenance packages.

Before you begin
Before you uninstall the feature pack maintenance packages, perform the following tasks:
Procedure
  1. If you want to remove the feature pack from your WebSphere product, remove the feature pack widgets from the existing profiles. For information, refer to Removing feature pack widgets.
  2. Manually delete the feature pack maintenance files from the configuration file system. For example:

    For WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus:

    cd WESB_HOME
    tar -tf name of maintenance tar file| grep -v /$ | xargs rm -v
    rmdir -p BusinessSpace/templateData/* 2>/dev/null

    For WebSphere Process Server:

    cd WPS_HOME
    tar -tf name of maintenance tar file| grep -v /$ | xargs rm -v
    rmdir -p BusinessSpace/templateData/* 2>/dev/null
    rmdir -p BusinessSpace/HumanTaskManagement/* 2>/dev/null
  3. Delete the maintenance .tar file from the working directory it was copied into during installation. For example:
    rm name of maintenance tar file
Results
The IBM WebSphere Process Server or WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus for z/OS 6.2 feature pack maintenance has been uninstalled.
What to do next
The feature pack has now been uninstalled. If you want to use an earlier version of the feature pack you must now re-install it and re-configure it.
