Fabric Change Set help

Use the Change Set widget in a Fabric business space to manage the approval process for changes related to a business process.

Change sets are a way of managing the changes to a business process and tracking decision points. The following list explains the status of a change set and the implications of that status in the change process.

  1. When you create a change set, it has a status of "Draft" and it is in the list of change sets.
  2. When a change set is ready (you have completed editing it), you submit it. The status of the change set changes to "Pending".
  3. When a pending change set is deployable, you approve it. The status of the change set changes to "Approved".
  4. When an approved change set is to be deployed onto the runtime server, you publish it. The status of the change set changes to "Published" and the runtime server is now using it.

The Change Set widget displays a list of all of the change sets. The information about each change set, including the latest submission date, the submitter, and its status. The list can have several pages and you can increase or decrease the number of change sets that are viewable per page by selecting the up and down arrows above the page number. You can also filter the list of change sets using the Show field or by typing text in the filter field.

Below the list of change sets, there is a section that displays tabs that lead to additional details for the selected change set, external links associated with the change set, and the history of the change set. The external links are where you can find additional information about the change set. You can also add external links to, for example, provide the reason for the change set. The history tracks the changes in the status of the change set.

If the change set has a "Draft" status, you can change its values by clicking Edit and then making changes to its details. You cannot edit change sets that are not "Draft" status.
