Marking alerts as read or unread

Marking alerts as "read" or "unread" helps you to quickly identify the alerts that need attention.

Black is the default color for "read" alerts and red is the default color for "unread" alerts. (See "Customizing Alerts" to change the default colors.) Unread messages are indicated by a dot of the unread color.

To mark one or more alerts as read or unread, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Alerts widget, select the check box next to each alert that you want to update.
  2. Click Read to mark the selected alerts as read or select Unread to mark them as unread. The selected alerts are updated and the text color changes accordingly. When an alert has a "read" status, the dot of the unread color is no longer displayed.
