Business Process Choreographer Explorer settings

Here you can set general properties or create a new instance, including the optional Business Process Choreographer Explorer reporting function.

To view this administrative console page, click Servers > Clusters > cluster_name or Servers > Application servers > server_name, then under Business Integration, expand Business Process Choreographer, and click Explorer Configuration. To create a new explorer configuration, click Add. To view an existing configuration, click an instance name.

Update

This is only visible if you have applied an iFix that includes an update to a Business Process Choreographer application.

You will see a warning message, which explains which application must be updated. Click the Update link to stop the application, and update it. The application will be unavailable for a short time.

Enable autostart

If this check box is selected, the application will be started automatically whenever the server is started. This is the default.

When this is selected, the Choose event collector field is enabled.

Context Root

The context root for this Business Process Choreographer Explorer instance, and for the optional Business Process Choreographer Explorer reporting function.

This defines part of the URL that browsers must use to reach the Business Process Choreographer Explorer.

Business Flow Manager REST API endpoint

The representational state transfer (REST) API endpoint specifies the URL for the Business Process Choreographer Business Flow Manager Web service. The value specified here must match the value for the context root for the Human Task Manager in the Business Process Choreographer configuration. The default value is based on settings from the current Business Process Choreographer configuration. For example, if the context root is /rest/bpm/bfm, the endpoint URL could be http://localhost:9080/rest/bpm/bfm.

Human Task Manager REST API endpoint

The representational state transfer (REST) API endpoint specifies the URL for the Business Process Choreographer Human Task Manager Web service.

The value specified here must match the value for the context root for the Human Task Manager in the Business Process Choreographer configuration. The default value is based on settings from the current Business Process Choreographer configuration. For example, if the context root is /rest/bpm/htm, the endpoint URL would be http://hostname:port/rest/bpm/htm.

Managed Business Process Choreographer container

The scope of the Business Process Choreographer container.

This specifies the Business Process Choreographer container that this instance connects to. This can be a many-to-one relationship. Each Business Process Choreographer Explorer instance can connect to exactly one Business Process Choreographer container. However, each Business Process Choreographer container can be connected to by zero or more Business Process Choreographer Explorer instances.

Enable reporting function

Select this check box if you want to configure the Business Process Choreographer Explorer reporting function.

When this is selected, the Visualize monitoring data from this Business Process Choreographer event collector field is enabled.

Select the event collector instance whose data is to be visualized by this Business Process Choreographer Explorer reporting function.

Snapshot report range

The number of days data that will be visualized by this Business Process Choreographer Explorer reporting function.

Reducing this value can improve the time it takes to generate a report. Try setting this value to the maximum duration of a process instance in your business environment.
