This information applies to feature pack. To use what is described, you must have installed the optional feature pack My Work Organizer

Use the My Work Organizer widget as a personal to-do list to manage your work, and to create and track tasks for yourself and others.

By default, the My Work Organizer widget interacts with the My Task Information. Although it is not possible to customize this widget, you can wire other widgets to the events that are emitted from it.

To change the view

To change the view in the My Work Organizer widget use one of the following drop-down lists:
Status
Allows you to display a specific task type, for example, All, Submitted, Finished, or Drafts.
Sort By
Allows you to change whether the list is sorted by Start date, Due time, or Priority.

To work on a task

To work on a task, select an item in the list, then click Actions, in the drop-down list, only actions that are appropriate for the selected item can be selected.
Create
Allows you to create a new task for yourself or for someone else, to initiate work, or to call a service.

In the New Task dialog, you can select the type of task to create, specify the priority, and set the assignee as yourself or someone else. You can also type a description for the request and optionally add an attachment.

Open
The action performed depends on the status of the selected task.
  • If the task has been accepted, the selected task is opened in the Task Information widget so that you can work on it.
  • If the task is still in draft status, the open action calls the create dialog, which allows you to specify appropriate information before the task is started.
Transfer
Allows you to transfer the selected task to someone else. You are prompted to type a name or a part of a name. As you type, a list of people are displayed whose name or user ID includes what you typed, you can then select the person to whom the task will be transferred.
Delete
Removes the task from the list.
