The Business Service browser helps John and his team create
and change services and service-level policies for the Policy Renewal
project. John can also create and change the insurance vocabularies
needed by the service.
After creating the Policy Renewal business space, John and
his team are presented with a Fabric Authoring Getting Started page.
On this page, if they choose the Service-centric authoring path, they
will be presented with the Fabric Business Service browser page.
The Fabric Service Browser helps configure new
or existing business services. The Business Service widget embedded
in the browser requires John's team to either enter a new service
name or add a service from the Fabric repository to the current business
space.
To create the Underwrite Risk service, John completes
the following tasks:
- Log into Business Manager.
- Open the Policy Renewal business space.
- Select the Service Browser page The Service
Browser page is loaded and John can see a Business Service Browser
widget embedded in this page.
- From the Actions menu, select Create a New Service and
click OK. A window opens requesting the service
name, description, and tags.
- Enter the name of the new business service (Underwrite
Risk), a description of the service, and any tags that
you want associated with the Underwrite Risk service. Click OK.
An overview of the new business service is displayed. The service
is now created in the Fabric repository, added to the Policy Renewal
business space, and displayed in the Business Service Browser widget.
To view or modify the Underwrite Risk service, John enters
the new service name (Underwrite Risk), click
the hyperlink on the Name field of the service
in the Fabric Business Service browser page. A new page called Service
Details is automatically generated if it is not already in the space,
and the selected service, Underwrite Risk, is displayed in the widget.
