You can export comments into a file so that they can used
in other applications.
To export comments:
- Open the page that contains the Draft Artifacts widget.
- In the Publisher Navigator view,
select an element that has a comment icon. The Comments view
displays the name of the element that you selected and a table that
lists the comments associated with it.
- In the Show field, select the scope
of the export:
- If you want to export only the comments for the element, select
the element name.
- If you want to export the comments for the element and its
subelements or attributes, select the element name and its subelements.
- If you want to export all comments in the current project,
select All comments.
- Click Export. You are
given the following two export options. Both options
create a text file that contains information about the comment, the
subject of the comment and details, and the responses to the comment.
Option |
Description |
Export as tab-separated values |
This option separates the exported values using tabbed spaces.
This format is the better choice if you will import the content into
another application, such as a spreadsheet. |
Export as a record list |
This option separates the values by placing them on a new
line. The comments and responses are delineated by a line of asterisks.
This format is the better choice if you want to read the content. |
- Click Submit. The File
Download window opens.
- Save the file onto your computer.
