Setting the scope of the comment table

In the Comments widget, the comment lists is displayed according to a scope that limits the number of comments shown.

By default, the comments list displays only the comments that are associated with the selected element. However, many of the elements have attributes or subelements. You can change the scope of the comments table to show the following information:
  • The comments of the selected project element
  • The comments of the selected project element and its subelements or attributes
  • The comments from all elements in the project

To set the scope of the comment table:

  1. Open the page that contains the Draft Artifacts widget.
  2. From the Publisher Navigator view, select a project element. The Comments view displays the name of the element and, in a table, its associated comments.
  3. In the Comments view, set the scope for the comment table by selecting a scope from the Show list. If you choose to include subelement and attribute comments, the comment table has an additional column called Element name. This column contains the name of the element and the names of any of its subelements that have comments. If you choose to include comments from all of the projects, the comments table has an additional column called Project as well as the Element name column.
