Starting stand-alone servers

Start a stand-alone process server in order to run the administrative console and any applications on the server.

About this task

To start a stand-alone server, perform the following steps.

Procedure
  1. If you have created several stand-alone server profiles on the host, ensure that you are using the correct profile.
  2. Start the server with one of the following methods.
    • For Windows operating system From the Start menu, click IBM WebSphere > Enterprise Service Bus 6.2 > Profiles > profile_name > Start the server
    • In the First steps console, click Start the server.
    • Use the startServer command.
  3. Verify that the server started successfully by checking the install_root/profiles/profile_name/logs/server_name/startServer.log log file for the message Server server_name open for e-business; process id is nnnn.
