Uninstalling the StockQuote sample

You can uninstall the StockQuote sample using a script which you run from the command line. This allows you to remove the sample from your profile.

About this task

If you choose to install the samples gallery when you install WebSphere® ESB, the StockQuote sample is also installed. This means that every stand-alone profile you subsequently create will have the sample installed. If you want to try out the sample on a stand-alone profile and then have a clean profile to start working with, you can uninstall the sample using this method.
Procedure
  1. Start the server.
  2. From the command line, type the following command on a Windows platform.
    wsadmin -f install_root\samples\bin\ESBStockQuoteSample\uninstall.jacl 
    -cell cell_name -node node_name -dataSourceName CustomerDatabase 
    -connectionFactoryName StockQuoteReplyQCF -queueName StockQuoteService_Export 
    -activationSpecName StockQuoteService_ExportAS 
    -destinationName StockQuoteService_Export
    or for all other platforms, type the following command;
    wsadmin -f install_root/samples/bin/ESBStockQuoteSample/uninstall.jacl 
    -cell cell_name -node node_name -dataSourceName CustomerDatabase 
    -connectionFactoryName StockQuoteReplyQCF -queueName StockQuoteService_Export 
    -activationSpecName StockQuoteService_ExportAS 
    -destinationName StockQuoteService_Export
    where install_root represents the location of yourWebSphere ESB installation, cell_name and node_name represent the cell and node names for your profile.

Results

This script will remove the StockQuote sample ear files from the server and remove all the resources created for the sample.
