Use this page to add nodes to deployment environments and assign nodes to the functional areas within a deployment environment based on an IBM-supplied pattern. You can also delete nodes from the deployment environment definition. The panel enforces any functional constraints you define to prevent configuration errors caused by insufficient resources for a specific function.
To view this administrative console page, click Servers > Deployment Environments > Deployment environment name > Additional Properties > Deployment Topology.
The table contains the following control and information.
Select this radio button to choose a row from a list of federated nodes you. When you select this radio and click Add or Replace Selected, the system populates the Node field in the deployment environment with your choice by adding a row or replacing the selected row.

Selecting this radio and specifying a node name allows you to add or replace a node with a nonexistent or an unfederated node. You must federate the node to complete the configuration. After selecting this radio and specifying the node name, click Add to add a node to the topology or click Replace Selected to replace the node selected in the topology with the node.

Adds an unnamed node to the topology or replaces an existing node with an unnamed node. Select this radio and click Add to add an unnamed node to the topology or click Replace Selected to replace a selected node in the topology with an unnamed node. Use an unnamed node as a placeholder that you will replace with a federated node at a later date to meet your deployment environment constraints.
