You can create a new map from several different places
in your Business Leader space.
You can create a new map from any page within a Business
Leader space:- From the Overview page, create a map in the Recent Documents
area by clicking a button the Create toolbar. Provide a name for your
map and click OK. A new map is created and
opened in the Design page for editing.
When you save this map,
it is stored in the current space outside of any folders that you
might have created. If you want to move it into a folder, you can
go to the Documents view, and drag it into the appropriate folder.
- From the Design page, you can create a new map using the Quickstart
menu at the left of the toolbar. Click
and select the map type that you
want to create. Provide a name for your map and click OK.
A new map is created and opened in the Design page for editing. When
you save this map, it is stored in the current space outside of any
folders that you might have created. If you want to move it into a
folder, you can go to the Documents view, and drag it into the appropriate
folder.
- From the Documents view, you can create a new map, and select
a location for your map at the same time. Select the folder where
you want the map to be created, then click Create and
select the map type. The new map is created with a default name in
the Documents View. Type a meaningful name to replace the default
name.
To open this new map, click on it in the Documents View.
The map opens in the Design page. To edit the map, you must first
click the Edit button.
When you first create a map, some default map elements
are provided for you. You can modify these elements according to your
needs, or delete them and start creating your map from scratch.
