If a Managing My Tasks business
space is not available, you can create one.
A Managing My Tasks space
uses widgets that contain content from WebSphere® Process Server and WebSphere Business Monitor. If a product
is not installed, Business Space replaces its
widgets with an image and a message.
The process server
must have a monitor model that contains a KPI model. This KPI model
must define the KPIs that Business Space users will
monitor. For example, in the Managing My Tasks scenario, the KPI model needs
to track the age of the quote requests and trigger an event when the
age exceeds 24 hours. A WebSphere Business Monitor administrator
then subscribes users to an alert that is based on the event.
The following example creates the space for the Managing My Tasks scenario, which contains the KPIs widget,
the Alerts widget,
and widgets for handling tasks such as quote requests:
- After logging on to Business Space, you create
a business space using the Managing My Tasks template.
For information about how to create the business space, see Creating business spaces.
- If you decide that users will not
use the widgets on the Viewers page, close this page so that it no
longer displays in the space. For information about how to close the
page, see Closing pages.
- Configure the KPIs widget
in the new business space so that it can display information:
- From the widget action menu, select Configure.
- In the KPIs tab, select the KPI for the age of the quote
requests.
- In the Layout tab, select how you want to display the
KPI.
- Click Apply and check the result
of your configuration in the bottom part of the widget.
- Keep changing the configuration until the widget displays
the information that you want to see in the way that you want to see
it and then click OK.
- The other widgets are displaying the information that you
want to see, so you decide not to configure them.
- If you want other people to see the space and the pages
it contains, share the space and add the people as viewers or editors
of the space. For more information, see Sharing business spaces.
