Uninstalling the feature pack silently

You can uninstall the WebSphere® Business Modeler Publishing Server V6.2 Feature Pack silently using a command-line invocation.

Before you begin
The following prerequisites must be met prior to running the uninstaller wizard: If you are uninstalling from an System i® server see Uninstalling silently from a System i server.
  1. Log on to the system.
    • On AIX®, HP-UX, Linux®, or Solaris operating systems: Log on as root or as the non-root user ID that installed WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server. Run the ls -al command at the root of the installation to find the user ID that was used to install the product.
    • On Windows® operating systems: Log on as a user who belongs to the administrator group or as the non-administrator user ID that installed WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server.
  2. Stop all running servers.
  3. Start the feature pack uninstallation program by running the uninstall command located in the feature pack install_root\uninstall.wbmpsfep directory.
    • On Linux operating systems: uninstall -silent
    • On AIX, HP-UX, or Solaris operating systems: uninstall.sh -silent
    • On Windows operating systems: uninstall.exe -silent
Results

The uninstaller uninstalls the feature pack.

If the uninstaller determines that there are running servers, the uninstallation process will fail and log the details in the log file. You can use this information to manually stop any running servers and then repeat the uninstallation process.

The uninstaller records events in a log file in the following directory:
  • On AIX, HP-UX, Linux, or Solaris operating systems: install_root/logs/wbmpsfep/uninstall/log.txt
  • On Windows operating systems: install_root\logs\wbmpsfep\uninstall\log.txt
