This information applies to feature pack. To use what is described, you must have installed the optional feature pack Uninstalling the feature pack silently from Linux®, UNIX®, and Windows®

You can silently uninstall the IBM® WebSphere® Process Server V6.2 and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus V6.2 Feature Pack using a command-line invocation.

Before you begin
Before you uninstall the feature pack, make sure the following are true:
Procedure
  1. Log on to the system:
    • For AIX operating systemFor HP-UX operating systemFor Linux operating systemFor Solaris operating system Log on as root or as the non root user ID that installed the feature pack.

      Run the ls -al command at the root of the installation to find the user ID that was used to install the feature pack.

    • For Windows operating system Log on as a user who belongs to the administrator group or as the non administrator user ID that installed the feature pack.
  2. Stop all running servers before you continue.
  3. Start the feature pack uninstallation program by running the uninstall command, which is located in the feature pack install_root\uninstall.wpswesbfep directory.
Results

The uninstaller uninstalls the feature pack.

If the uninstaller detects running servers, the uninstallation process fails and logs the details in the log file. You can use this information to manually stop running servers and then repeat the uninstallation process.

The uninstaller records events in a log file in the following directory:
  • For AIX operating systemFor HP-UX operating systemFor Linux operating systemFor Solaris operating system install_root/logs/wpswesbfep/uninstall/log.txt
  • For Windows operating system install_root\logs\wpswesbfep\uninstall\log.txt
