Deployment Environments

Use this page to display, manage, change, import, or export the defined deployment environments.

Security role required: Your userid must be associated with either Administrator or Configurator role to use this page.

To view this administrative console page, click Servers > Deployment Environments

This page displays the list of deployment environments defined in the cell. From this page you can:

Click on the deployment environment name to edit the deployment environment.

The display contains the columns:
Select
Selects the deployment environment represented by the row.
Deployment Environment Name
The name of the deployment environment.
Status
The current status of the deployment environment. The icons are described in "Deployment environment topology status information."
Pattern
The IBM-supplied pattern that is the basis for this deployment environment definition. If this cell is blank, the deployment environment is a custom environment.
Description
A description of the deployment environment to help others understand the purpose of the deployment environment.

Start

Starts the resources that comprise the selected deployment environments.

Stop

Stops the resources that comprise the selected deployment environments.

New

Launches the Deployment Environment Configuration Wizard to create a new deployment environment.

Remove

Removes the selected deployment environment definitions. Removing the definition will not remove the resources from the deployment manager and you will receive a dialog to confirm this action.

Import

Launches the Deployment Environment Configuration Wizard to import a deployment environment definition you previously exported. The exported definition could be from this cell or another cell.

Export

Exports the selected deployment environment definitions to a set of files that you can import later. You can import these files into this cell or another cell. When you select a single definition and click Export, the output is a single deployment environment definition file. When you select multiple definitions and click Export, the output is a compressed file that contains the exported definition files.
