System REST Service Endpoints

Use this page to configure service endpoints for Representational State Transfer (REST) application programming interfaces. If you want widgets to be available in Business Space, you must configure the REST service endpoints for those widgets. Endpoints configured on this page are registered with Business Space.

To view this administrative console page, click one of the following:

For servers: Servers > Application servers > servername > Business Integration > System REST Service Endpoints.

For clusters: Servers > Clusters > clustername > Business Integration > System REST Service Endpoints.

Protocol

Select a protocol from the list for all REST services that you want to configure. Configure a full URL path by selecting https:// and then setting the host and port.

Host name or virtual host in a load-balanced environment

Type the host or virtual host that a client needs to communicate with the server or cluster. If you are using the Deployment Environment Configuration wizard, and you leave the host and port fields empty, the values default to those of an individual cluster member host and its HTTP port. For a load-balanced environment, you must later change the default values to the virtual host name and port of your environment.

Port

Type the port for all REST services that you want to configure. For a load-balanced environment, designate the port number that the client needs to communicate with the cluster. If you are using the Deployment Environment Configuration wizard, and you leave the host and port fields empty, the values default to those of an individual cluster member host and its HTTP port. For a load-balanced environment, you must later change the default values to the virtual host name and port of your environment.

Context root

This field lists the context root for the REST service provider. This field is read-only.

Type

The first column of the table lists a short description of the type of REST service that you are configuring. This field is read-only.

Description

Modify the endpoint description, which describes the purpose of the REST service.

URL

This field lists the full URL path for available REST APIs.

Apply

Click this button to save changes and continue working.

OK

Click this button to commit the changes to the endpoints and close the page.

Reset

Click this button to reset the endpoints to the previous state before your modifications and continue working.

Cancel

Click this button to close the page without saving any of the changes.
