Use the Service Monitor Graph widget to monitor the throughput and response times for service operations exposed by a running module that is deployed to the server or cluster configured for use with the widget.

Before you begin

Required security role for this task: If administrative security is enabled, you must be logged in with an administrative role to perform this task.

About this task
Perform the following steps to use service monitoring in your business process management solution.
Procedure
  1. Enable service monitoring. By default, the service monitor agent is disabled and you must enable it before you can monitor operations.
  2. Log into Business Space and open the Service Monitoring page.
  3. Configure the general settings for the Service Monitor Graph widget.
    1. Click Configure from the widget menu, and then select the General Graph Settings tab.
    2. Review the default general graph configuration and, if necessary, adjust the values. See Service Monitor Graph.
  4. Select one or more service operations to monitor. By default, selected operations are automatically monitored. If monitoring has been turned off for an operation, start it by selecting the Monitor On check box.
  5. Use the graphs and table available in the Service Monitor Graph widget to examine the response time and throughput data for your operations.
  6. When you are finished monitoring, return to the Monitored Service Operations tab and clear the Monitor On check box next to each operation you want to stop monitoring, and then click OK.
