Uninstalling the feature pack from a single or stacked product on Windows, Linux and UNIX® systems

Use the uninstaller wizard to completely uninstall the IBM® WebSphere® Business Modeler Publishing Server V6.2 Feature Pack from a single or stacked product.

Before you begin
The following prerequisites must be met prior to running the uninstaller wizard:

Task Requirements
Uninstall a single product when only one product is installed.
  1. Uninstall the Feature Pack using the Feature Pack uninstaller, which will automatically uninstall the Feature Pack maintenance.
  2. Uninstall the product maintenance using the Update Installer.
  3. Uninstall the product using the product uninstaller.
Uninstall a single product when multiple products are stacked onto the same installation.
  1. Uninstall the Feature Pack using the Feature Pack uninstaller, which will automatically uninstall the Feature Pack maintenance.
  2. Uninstall the stacked product maintenance using the Update Installer.
  3. Uninstall the stacked product using the product uninstaller.
  4. Re-install the Feature Pack using the Feature Pack installer on to the remaining stacked products.
  5. Re-install the Feature Pack maintenance using the Update Installer.
  1. Launch the uninstallation wizard.
    Issue the command:
    • On Linux®: uninstall
    • On AIX®, HP-UX or Solaris operating systems: uninstall.sh
    • On Windows®: uninstall.exe
    from the install_root\uninstall.wbmpsfep directory, where install_root is the directory where you installed the feature pack.

    For example: C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\ProcServer\uninstall.wbmpsfep.

  2. On the Feature Pack Uninstallation Wizard panel, review the uninstallation information and click Next.
    The wizard checks the system for running servers. During this process the wizard displays the following message:
    The system is determining the server status...
    If a running server is found, the following message is displayed:
    One or more servers are running. Stop the running servers before you continue.
  3. Optional: Stop any running servers. The log file contains the profile name to assist you in determining which server is running.
  4. Review the uninstallation summary for correctness. Click Back to change values on previous panels or click Next to begin the uninstallation. All of the feature pack features are removed. You can not selectively uninstall features.
  5. View the uninstallation results information and click Finish.
Results
The uninstaller wizard uninstalls the feature pack. If successful, the following information is displayed:
The following product was uninstalled.
IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server V6.2 Feature Pack install_root.
For a partial uninstallation success or a failure, the post uninstallation panel will display the location of the log file:
  • On AIX, HP-UX, Linux, or Solaris operating systems:
    install_root/logs/wbmpsfep/uninstall/log.txt
  • On Windows operating systems:
    install_root\logs\wbmpsfep\uninstall\log.txt 
What to do next
For stacked products, you must reapply the Feature Pack and other maintenance to the other products on the stack.
