Deployment Environment Configuration

Use this page to view a deployment environment. Depending on the pattern, you can also access Deployment Topology, Custom Deployment Topology Detail, Deferred Configuration, Data Sources, and Authentication Aliases pages from this page.

Security role required: Your userid must be associated with either Administrator or Configurator role to use this page.

To view this administrative console page, click Servers > Deployment Environments > Deployment Environment Name.

Important: After you have configured the deployment environment, this page displays in read mode and you cannot change any of the field values.

Deployment Environment

Specifies the name of the deployment environment. The system uses this name in a pattern applied to cluster names generated from this deployment environment definition so you can associate clusters with their associated deployment environments.

Note: You will not be able to change the name after you have generated the deployment environment.

Deployment Environment Pattern

Specifies the deployment environment pattern used when creating the deployment environment.

Description

Communicates relevant information about the deployment environment. Use this field to describe the purpose of the environment, what can be deployed to the environment and other useful information to help those who may use this deployment environment in the future.

Deployment Environment Status

An icon that indicates the current status of the deployment environment.

Deployment Topology

Lists the purpose of each cluster or server in the deployment environment. This status is available for IBM-supplied deployment environment patterns and reflects the status of the resources that comprise that function.

Note: This section does not display for a custom topology instance.
Cluster
Specifies the function of the cluster in the deployment environment. The values could be Application Deployment Target, Messaging Infrastructure, or Supporting Infrastructure.
Cluster Name
The name used to identify this cluster in the deployment environment definition. The system derives the name from the name of the deployment environment.
Status
The current status of each function. The icons are explained in "Deployment environment functional status".
