Setting the owner and task status

Using Human Tasks in your dashboard, you can set the owner or the task status. For an owner, you can claim, release, transfer, or assign a task. For task status, you can set the task to active, on hold, or complete.

If this is the first time you are using Human Tasks, you will see the message Select Human Task Properties to display.
To set the owner and task status for one or more tasks, complete the following steps:
  1. In Human Tasks, select one or more check boxes corresponding to tasks.
Note: You can work with all the tasks by clicking Select all.
  2. Set the owner by clicking the Actions menu, and then selecting the appropriate action (Assign, Claim, Release, or Transfer).
Note: If you try to claim a task that is already owned, you will receive an error. If you select multiple tasks and some of them are already owned, you will receive a list of all the Activity IDs that failed to be claimed with individual reasons for their failure.
  3. If you select Assign or Transfer, specify the new owner’s name.
  4. Set the task status by clicking the Actions menu. Then click the appropriate action (Active, On hold, or Complete).
Human Tasks displays the new information after the next replication cycle completes.
