WebSphere WebSphere Business Integration Message Service Clients for C/C++ Version 1.2.7 and .NET Version 1.2.6 Operating Systems: AIX, Linux, Solaris, Windows

Prerequisites for XMS applications connecting to WebSphere MQ

Some prerequisites apply if your XMS application connects to WebSphere MQ.

For applications that connect to a WebSphere MQ queue manager, you must install the appropriate WebSphere MQ client libraries on the machine you use to run the XMS application. These libraries are pre-installed on machines with a local queue manager.

For XMS client for C/C++, use the WebSphere MQ Version 6.0 client libraries. These allow client mode connections to both WebSphere MQ Version 5.3 and WebSphere MQ Version 6.0 queue managers and bindings mode connections to WebSphere MQ Version 6.0 local queue managers. If you require a bindings mode connection to a WebSphere MQ Version 5.3 local queue manager you must use the client libraries provided with the local queue manager.

For XMS client for .NET, use the client libraries shipped with WebSphere MQ Version 6.0.1.1 or later. These are the WebSphere MQ classes for .NET. They enable client mode connections to WebSphere MQ Version 5.3 and WebSphere MQ Version 6.0 queue managers, and bindings mode connections to a local queue manager, if it is also Version 6.0.1.1 or later.
