Authentication Alias Configuration

Use this page to administer the selected authentication alias.

Authentication aliases are used to authenticate runtime code for access to system resources such as messaging engines and connection factories.

To view this administrative console page, click Security > Business Integration Security and then either click the authentication alias that you want to configure, or select the check box associated with the authentication alias and click the Edit button. You must be a member of the administrator or configurator role in order to make changes to the authentication alias configurations.

Authentication alias

Displays the name of the authentication alias that you are administering.

User name

The authentication alias is specific to a certain component. This component requires any calling applications to provide a specific user name and password in order to access the component. Define the user that is allowed to access the system resources for the given component.

Password

Enter the password with which the user is authenticated. The current user account repository is used to authenticate the user with the given password.

Confirm Password

Confirm the entered password here.

Description

An optional field in which you can enter a description of the authentication alias.

Component

Displays the name of the component for which system resources need user authentication.
