Data source properties for database providers

Lists the data source properties for each supported database provider.

Purpose

This table lists the custom fields for each database provider.

User name

Set as authentication alias. Set as component managed in the data source.

Derby Embedded

User name not supported
Pass word not supported

Not supported in network deployment.
Derby Network Server   Used as the default database provider for network deployment.
DB2 Universal

Server Port

The schema value is either set as a custom property curSchema or it is set at the component's data store. The schema does not show for components that do not support it.

DB2 UDB for iSeries (Native)
DB2 for i5/OS (Native)

Database Name

The default database name is *LOCAL. The database name can also be changed to an IASP device name if available. The schema name is set as the custom property LIBRARIES.

DB2 UDB for iSeries (Toolbox)
DB2 for i5/OS (Toolbox)

Server Name

The default database name is *SYSBAS. The database name can also be changed to an IASP device name if available. The schema name translates into the data source property LIBRARIES. Server name translates into the data source property SERVER_NAME.
