You can change the appearance of individual map elements
to make your map more visually appealing and easier to read. You can
change the background color of elements, for example to highlight
important areas of your map, or to visually group elements that share
particular attributes, such as owner. You can also format the text
that appears on an element to highlight important words or phrases.
- To change the background color of an element or a group
of elements, select the element or the group of elements that you
want to modify, then use the background color picker
in
the toolbar to select a color. The selected element
or elements are displayed in the selected color in the diagram view.
- To change the color of the text in an element, select the
text that you want to modify in the outline view or in the diagram
view, and use the text color picker
in
the toolbar to select a color. The text is displayed
in the selected color in the diagram view.
- To format text in an element, select the text that you
want to modify in the outline view or in the diagram view, and use
the Bold
, Italic
, or Underline
buttons
in the toolbar to apply a style.
