APAR IV23328 | |
---|---|
Problem Description |
CUSTOMIZED COLUMNS ARE NOT CONSISTENTLY MAINTAINED WHEN CHANGING CONNECTIONS. |
Problem Summary |
When using various views to show resources, the behaviour of customize columns and reset columns varies in a non-obvious manner. The preferences are not always stored with the expected connection state and a user starting CICS Explorer may not find the columns they expect. Changing to a new connection or disconnecting may also provide unexpected columns. Reset columns behaviour also varied depending on previous changes to the connection or state. |

Problem Summary |

APAR IV22012 | |
Problem Description |
CNX0594E: ERROR BAD REQUEST(400) |
Problem Summary |
Error Description You have the CICS Explorer connected to a 4.2 Server and have sorted one of the columns in a view. You disconnect from the 4.2 server and then connect to a 4.1 server. When you select a scope for the data you want to view, you receive a CNX0594E: Error Bad Request(400). This is because the CICS Explorer has remembered that the column was sorted and automatically sends a sorted request to the 4.1 server which does not support Sorted results. The CICS Explorer should detect that it is connected to a 4.1 server and not send a sorted request. Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): KIXREVWJB |

APAR IV24300 | |

UNABLE TO SUPPRESS THE SAVE PASSWORD CHECK BOX |
Problem Summary |
Customer security standards do not permit users to save passwords on their hard drive. CICS Explorer credential management allows users to check the "Save password" box to save their password. The customer requires a method to prevent the "Save password" option from being presented to users. Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): KIXREVWJB password credential manage host connections |

To install updates for the CICS Explorer, there are two options:
An advantage of using the IBM-hosted update-site is that it is kept up-to-date with the latest version. Users can search for any available updates to the CICS Explorer periodically from within the CICS Explorer. They can choose if and when to install them at their convenience. Alternatively the user can choose to get the CICS Explorer to automatically search for updates and inform the user when they become available.
Otherwise updates can be downloaded on demand from Fix Central, but users will need to check the Fix Central website for any further updates available, and download them as appropriate. Fix Central: http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
