The CICS Explorer® SDK contains
JCICS examples to help you start developing Java™ applications for CICS®.
About this task
The JCICS examples are packaged as a set of OSGi bundles
that you can import into an Eclipse plug-in project to view the Java source code. You can also use
the context help to look up the Javadoc explanations for the methods
that are used in the code. In particular, the CICS API examples demonstrate how to use CICS resources and pass data.
Results
You have created one or more simple Java applications in CICS.
What to do next
You can start developing a Java application.
For JCICS guidance and examples, see
Java development using JCICS.
For more help on developing Java applications
for CICS, you can read the Redbooks® publication:
Java Application
Development for CICS.
You can also create a web presentation layer for
your Java application by using
servlets or JSP pages. You can use the provided examples to try this
feature, as described in Getting started with the servlet examples.
