You create an EP adapter set file in a CICS® bundle project to contain your EP adapter
set specification. When an EP adapter set is installed, events can
be sent to multiple destinations through this EP adapter set.
About this task
An EP adapter set specification is an XML definition that
defines one EP adapter set to CICS.
An EP adapter set consists of the names of one or more EP adapters.
In
certain situations you might want to use an EP adapter set. For example,
if an event binding has been created that names an EP adapter to send
events to a WebSphere® MQ
queue. You might also want events to be sent to another EP adapter
such as a TS queue. You can use an EP adapter set specification to
name multiple EP adapter names and then change the event binding to
name the EP adapter set so that events are sent to both the WebSphere MQ queue and the
TS queue.
Note: When you use an EP adapter set specification
you can easily share it between event bindings, resulting in only
one resource to manage.
Procedure

do not already have a project for the EP adapter set, create a CICS bundle project in the CICS Explorer®:

the Open Perspective window, and click OK.
The CICS Explorer switches

- Right-click the project name in the Project Explorer
view.

identify this EP adapter set.
- Add one or more EP adapter names. Click Add to
