The CICS Cloud perspective

The default CICS® Cloud perspective contains a core set of views to help you get started with cloud administration. The active perspective name is displayed on a button in the shortcut bar The shortcut bar showing the active perspective name - CICS Cloud.

The CICS Cloud perspective consists of these views:

You can use the Cloud Explorer view to show applications and platforms that are not installed, and you can switch the hierarchy from platform to application by using the switch hierarchy The switch hierarchy drop-down list icon drop-down list.

You can use the following icons in the shortcut bar The shortcut bar showing the create application binding, application, bundle, platform, and policy icons to create application bindings, applications, bundles, platforms, and policies.

You can use the trim widget The trim widget to select or edit a system connection.

You can tailor the perspective by adding new views, removing existing views, moving views around, or changing the size of views. When you close CICS Explorer®, any changes you made to the perspective are saved, and next time CICS Explorer starts, your tailored perspective is displayed.

You can restore the perspective to its last saved configuration at any time by clicking Window > Reset Perspective from the main workbench menu bar. You can reset the supplied perspectives to their default configuration by using the Reset action in the Preferences Perspective page.

You can create and save multiple perspectives. For example, you might want to set up one perspective that shows only the platform and application views, one perspective that shows only the application and policy views, or one perspective that shows only the cloud explorer, project explorer, and the problems view. For more information about using perspectives, see the following related links.
Note: When you save a perspective, you save only the layout of the views and editors in the workbench. If you change the width of a column in a view, that change is applied to that column in every perspective that contains the view. Any filter attributes you set are retained when you switch to another perspective or view.
