The process of installing the Multi-Channel Server (MCS) software on WebSphere® Portal for use with Oracle consists of configuring the database and then installing the software.
When performing this process, you must install MCS on a "clean" system, that is, one on which MCS has never been installed, or one from which any previous MCS installation has been uninstalled.
