1.0 	Prerequisites

DB2 Table Editor V4.3 Fix Pack 5 is required in order to use Interim Fix 2 (20041004).


2.0	Problem Description

Interim Fix 4.3.5.2 solves the following problem: 

APAR PQ83783: 
 - DB2 Table Editor can now display jpeg images in the java player.


3.0	Installation Instructions

1.  Navigate to the DB2 Table Editor installation directory 
    (The default installation directory is: C:\program files\IBM\DB2 Table Editor)
2.  Rename dbeuser.exe to dbeuser_old.exe
3.  Rename dbe.exe to dbe_old.exe
4.  Rename db2forms.jar to db2forms_old.jar
5.  Copy dbeuser_new.exe from TE435_20041004.zip into the installation directory.
6.  Copy dbe_new.exe from TE435_20041004.zip into the installation directory.
7.  Copy db2forms_new.jar from TE435_20041004.zip into the installation directory.
8.  Rename dbeuser_new.exe to dbeuser.exe
9.  Rename dbe_new.exe to dbe.exe
10. Rename db2forms_new.jar to db2forms.jar
11. If you have deployed DB2 Table Editor Java Player as an applet on a Web server
    at a location other than the location where you initially installed DB2 Table Editor,
    repeat steps 1, 4, 7, and 10 for all additional deployments.
12. Run DB2 Table Editor


4.0	Back out Instructions

1. Navigate to the installation directory
   (The default installation directory is: C:\program files\IBM\DB2 Table Editor)
2. Rename dbeuser.exe to dbeuser_new.exe
3. Rename dbe.exe to dbe_new.exe
4. Rename db2forms.jar to db2forms_new.jar
5. Rename dbeuser_old.exe to dbeuser.exe
6. Rename dbe_old.exe to dbe.exe
7. Rename db2forms_old.jar to db2forms.jar
8. If you have deployed DB2 Table Editor Java Player as an applet on a Web server
   at a location other than the location where you initially installed DB2 Table Editor,
   repeat steps 1, 4, and 7 for all additional deployments.
9. Run DB2 Table Editor.

5.0 	Usage instructions
This section details how to use this DB2 Table Editor update.

5.1	Adding a .jpg image to a form

1. Open the form to which you want to add a .jpg image.
2. Create an image control on the form using the "Bitmap" control option.
3. Right click the new image control and select "Properties". The Property sheet opens.
4. Go to the FileName property and browse to the .jpg that you want to add.
5. Go to the AsURL property. Set the AsURL property to true to link to the .jpg on your 
form. Set the AsURL property to false to have the .jpg image embedded on your form.

6.0	Restrictions

 - If you are including a jpeg in a form that is being used as an applet, the jpeg image 
 must be embedded in the form. (The ‘As URL’ property must be set to 'false').
