As an extension to IBM DB2 Performance Expert Version 3.2.1 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows, it extends database monitoring across the database client, the application server, and the network, giving DBAs immediate insight into where database workloads, transactions, and SQL requests are spending their time. Furthermore, IBM DB2 Performance Expert Extended Insight Feature makes available new performance indicators that directly measure complete database performance from the perspective of the application, and can warn against emerging performance bottlenecks in the application server or network.
