Often used for business or operational analysis, this traditional tabular data is secured and governed with controlled access. Availability expectations are generally high.
Structured, on-premises
This data is behind a firewall, but is increasingly accessed for business analytics. Other than security and access policies, this unstructured or semi-structured data is usually not heavily governed before elements are extracted for analysis.

Curated, on-premises
Curated data may originate from any type of structure or source and is maintained for specific business reasons. Data security is critical, so this data is highly governed by business policies, cataloged for consistency of interpretation and placed behind a firewall.
This data generally consists of feeds from third-party sources such as government agencies, social media and web traffic. Its value rests on the ability of analytical tools to mine the data for insights. Access may be lightly controlled unless the data comes from an on-premises, multi-structured data store.

Structured, cloud
This structured data is often streaming data from IoT devices, clickstreams or transactional data from external sources outside the firewall. It may or may not be heavily governed depending on the source and proprietary nature, but access is critical for analysis efforts.
