Purpose: |
The purpose of this step is to capture the customer's shipping address. |
Description: |
SPM stipulates whether a valid shipping address is required for the order based on specified business rules, i.e. if the order requires a physical shipment to be sent to the customer. An example could be a cable modem for a Sympatico High-Speed Service self-install. |
Use Cases: |
- UC00 Place Order
- UC01 Change Submitted Order
- UC10 Provide Shipping Details
|
OMF Services: |
No OMF Services are applicable to this step. |
Process Information: |
- Capturing Shipping Information is applicable to the Customer Segment within SimpleOrder and pertains to the New, Change Existing, Move and Modify Order Paths.
Order Process:
- The CSR is prompted for shipping information as per Sales Product Manager (SPM) after successfully selecting and configuring a product. Shipping Contact First and Last Names are mandatory fields; additional shipping information (such as C/O, ATTN, etc.) is optional.
- For efficiency, SimpleOrder checks if the shipping address should be the same as the service address on the account. If so, the CSR clicks Next to proceed with the order. Otherwise, the CSR enters a valid shipping address to continue with the order.
