Order Process – Determine Product Eligibility

Product Eligibility

Purpose:

The purpose of this step is to determine what products and services can be ordered at a customer’s service address.

Description:

This step identifies whether the services from a particular product line are supported at the customer’s service address. Optionally, it provides a list of other product offerings that can be ordered from that particular product line.

Use Cases:

  • UC00 Place Order
  • UC02 Identify Service Address
  • UC04 Select and Configure Products
  • UC06 Qualify Offering

OMF Services:

  • Product Availability Management Service

Process Information:

  • Product eligibility is applicable to the New, Change Existing, Move and Modify Order Paths.
  • In the Change Existing Order Path, the system retrieves and qualifies the customer’s account profiles, where available. Based on the customer’s service address, it determines if any products and services from new pillars could be offered to the customer. It also checks if there are any additional products and services that could be offered to the customer’s existing product profiles.
  • In the New Order Path, based on the service address, the system determines the products and services that could be offered to a customer who does not have an account.
  • In the Move Order Path, based on the customer’s Move To address, the system makes a similar determination.
  • In the Modify Order Path, the customer’s account profiles, stored with the original order submission, are retrieved. The Service Address details are then used to invoke the relevant available services.
