Customer Eligibility

Purpose:

The purpose of this step in the order process is to qualify existing customers.

Description:

This step checks an existing customer profile against a list of criteria/eligibility rules and allows the agent to proceed with the order for only those customers who pass these eligibility checks.

Process Information:

• Customer eligibility is applicable to the Change Existing, Move and Modify Order Paths.
• For existing customers, the agent analyzes existing profile information and qualifies the intended profiles before proceeding with the order. For example, 
  • On the Move Order Path, the following fields are validated:
    • Customer’s Name
    • Customer’s Service Address
    • Existing Wireline products
  • On the Change Existing Path, the following profile information is used to qualify a customer before the order is placed.
    • Class of Service
    • Provisioned Service Address
    • Existing Wireline products
    • One-Bill Indicator
    • Special billing eligibility
