Order Process – Agent Validation

Purpose:

The purpose of this step is to validate the SimpleOrder user and to ensure that only eligible users access the application.

Description:

Agent Validation authenticates users and controls who has access to the application. It also tracks what queue(s) and group(s) the CSR is associated with.

Use Cases:
  • UC03 Access Application

OMF Services:

No OMF Services are applicable to this step.

Process Information:
  • The agent accesses SimpleOrder by:
    • Clicking the SimpleOrder link; or
    • Typing the URL or selecting the URL from Bookmarks in IE
  • The agent’s network id passes to LDAP for authentication.
  • Upon authentication, agent’s PEIN/User Id is pre-populated on the Initiate Order page.
  • Agent Hierarchy
    • Each agent/user belongs to a CSR Queue.
    • CSR Queues can be combined into Groups.
    • Groups have region as a characteristic.
    • A CSR Queue is linked to Dealer IDs.

Note: In addition to authenticating the agent to use SimpleOrder, the agent’s user id is also collected to track compensation. However, this functionality is outside the domain of SimpleOrder.
