Placing an Order: The Second Alternate Flow
The typical flow of the Placing an Order use case via the Change path consists of the following steps:
- The actor places an order using the Change path.
- The actor enters identifiers which are then validated by the system.
- The system searches and retrieves the order.
- The system merges the customer account and qualifies the offering.
- The system selects and configures the product.
- The system determines if shipping information is required.
- The system determines if credit check is required.
- The system determines if legacy billing/payment information is required.
- The system determines if installation date(s) is required.
- The system prompts the actor to submit the order.
- The system presents the confirmation of the order.
