This module introduces you to some of the capabilities of Rational Portfolio Manager (RPM) for developing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and then creating and managing the project schedule. The module also discusses RPM’s reporting capabilities.
After completing this module, you should be able to:
- Recognize the value of using RPM to create and manage the project schedule
- Describe the basic components of the Work Management view for building a WBS and project schedule in RPM
- Describe RPM reporting capabilities for the project manager, especially the RPM ENG348 Project Status report
- List some successful approaches when implementing RPM and some sources to access for support
