Synchronous transactions can run on any back-end system from any front-end system; the output message is sent back to the client from the front end system. Previously only asynchronous transactions for these environments were supported. This new support uses the z/OS Resource Recovery Services (RRS) Multi-System Cascaded Transactions support.
