1.0 	Prerequisites

DB2 Performance Expert V2.1 Fix Pack 1 is required in order to use Interim Fix 1.


2.0	Problem Description

Interim Fix 1 solves the following problem: 
APAR PQ96211: 
 - DB2 Performance Expert client on AIX does not start in 64 bit mode.


3.0	Installation Instructions

The file contains the PE client. It must be installed like the client in Fix
Pack 1. For detailed instructions see the README.
Short directions:
1. gzip -d db2pe2111_aix.tar.gz
2. tar -xvf db2pe2111_aix.tar
3. umask 022
4. db2pecli.install-on-aix -console
   (You will be prompted for an installation directory, specify a new one.)


4.0	Back out Instructions

Execute command <installation_directory>/_uninst/uninstall -console
