Identifying the subscription

After authenticating a user, the Serwer synchronizacji determines the group that the user belongs to, then queries the sterująca baza danych administrowania to determine what subscription is involved in the request. For this reason, the Serwer synchronizacji must be able to uniquely identify each file subscription by name.

This task is part of the larger task of creating a file subscription. When you have completed these steps, return to Creating a file subscription.

Procedure

To identify a file subscription:

1. Click the Identification tab of the Creating upload subscriptions notebook.
2. Fill in these fields as follows:
   • Name

     Provide a descriptive, unique name for the subscription from 1 to 18 characters long. Names are case-sensitive.

   • Description

     Type up to 128 characters of text that describes this subscription.
