Identifying the user

For authentication purposes, the Serwer synchronizacji must be able to uniquely identify each user by name.

This task is part of the larger task of creating users in the Centrum administrowania urządzeniami mobilnymi. When you have completed these steps, return to Creating users in the Centrum administrowania urządzeniami mobilnymi.

Procedure

1. Click the Identification tab of the Creating wstawianie subscriptions notebook.
2. Fill in these fields:
   • Name

     Provide a descriptive, unique name for the user from 1 to 18 characters. The name serves as the user's user ID for accessing the Serwer synchronizacji DB2 Everyplace on the mid-tier system. Names are case sensitive.

   • Description

     Type up to 128 characters of text that describes this subscription.
