Starting the Mobile Devices Administration Center

Prerequisites

For UNIX, you must be logged in as the DB2 Everyplace Sync Server instance in order to start the Mobile Devices Administration Center.
For Linux, DB2 JDBC Applet Server needs to be started before starting the Mobile Devices Administration Center. Use the following command:
```
db2jstrt
```
Optional: You can specify a port for starting the DB2 JDBC Applet Server. The default port is 6789. Be sure to restart the DB2 JDBC Applet Server every time you restart the machine.

Procedure

To open the Mobile Devices Administration Center and DB2 Control Center For Windows, click Start --> Programs --> IBM DB2 Everyplace--> Start Mobile Devices Administration Center.

Note:: The DISPLAY environment variable has to be set in the shell in which the dsyadmin.sh command is issued. For example: export DISPLAY=:0.0

To open the Mobile Devices Administration Center and DB2 Control Center on UNIX, change the directory to $DSYINSTDIR/Server/bin, then run dsyadmin.sh.

Note:: On Linux, if you have started the DB2 JDBC Applet Server on a port other than 6789, you must provide that port as a parameter to dsyadmin.sh.
