The Administrator is used to manage the Sync Server subscriptions and
mobile users.
This task is part of the greater task of Creating a DataPropagator
subscription to data. When you have completed the steps below, return
to Creating a DataPropagator subscription to data
Procedure
The Administrator is used to manage the Sync Server subscriptions and
mobile users. To create a DataPropagator subscription:
- Select DB2 Everyplace Administrator from the Tools menu at the
top of the Control Center window. The DB2 Everyplace Administrator
opens.
- Right-click on the Subscriptions folder. Select Create
--> Table subscription --> DataPropagator Subscription.
- Type a name for the DataPropagator subscription in the Name
field. This example uses CONTACT.
- Type a description for the DataPropagator subscription in the
Description field. This example uses VNCONTACT test
subscription.
- Select the encryption level for the DataPropagator subscription in the
Encryption level field. This example uses
None.
- Click the
push button next to the Source Database field and select
VNURSE in the Database list of the Database
Selection window. Click OK.
- Click the
push button next to the Mirror database field. Select
M_VNURSE from the list in the Select Mirror database
window. If a mirror database does not exist for your database, click
the Create push button to launch the Create Database Wizard.
- Click the Define Subscription push button to open the Define
replication subscription window.
- Click the Add push button to open the Add window.
- Select DSYSAMPLE.VNCONTACT from the Replication Source
list and click Add. Then click Close.
- Click the Timing push button in the Define replication
subscription window.
- In the Batch Window field, specify the amount of time, in
seconds, to wait before starting replication. For example if you type
60, changes will be replicated to the source database after 60
seconds.
- Click OK to close the Define replication subscription
window.
- Click the Authentication tab.
- Enter a username and password in the User ID,
Password, and Verify password fields. This must
be a valid DB2 UDB user ID with DBADM authority.
- Click OK to close the Create Table Subscription
notebook. If all of the fields are filled in correctly, OK
should not be grayed out.
DB2 Everyplace Sync Server is now configured to synchronize the data in
this table.
