Accessibility

Accessibility features help users with physical disabilities, such as restricted mobility or limited vision, to use software products successfully. DB2 Everyplace includes the following accessibility features:

Keyboard Input and Navigation

Keyboard Input
You can use keys or key combinations to perform most operations that can also be done using a mouse. This is true with the exception of the "Right-Click" function of the mouse.

Keyboard Focus
In UNIX-based systems, the position of the keyboard focus is highlighted, indicating which area of the window is active and where your keystrokes will have an effect.

Accessible Display

DB2 Everyplace has features that enhance the user interface and improve accessibility for users with low vision. These accessibility enhancements include support for customizable font properties.

Font Settings
You can select the color, size, and font for the text in menus and dialog windows.

No dependence on color
You do not need to distinguish between colors in order to use any of the functions in this product.

Alternative Alert Cues

You can specify whether you want to receive alerts through audio or visual cues.

Compatibility with Assistive Technologies

The DB2 Everyplace Mobile Device Administration Center interface supports the Java Accessibility API , enabling use by screen readers and other assistive technologies used by people with disabilities.
