Domino data source restriction

• At least one primary key must be selected on each table for Lotus Domino data sources. When you a select primary key use the following rules:
  • The same column must not be identified more than once.
  • The number of identified columns must not exceed 16 and the sum of their length attributes must not exceed 1024
  • No LONG VARCHAR column may be used as part of a primary key
  • Only one primary key can be defined on a table
• Reserved keywords:

  Domino treats the following names as reserved (do not use them to name your columns ):

  • NoteID
  • NoteRef
  • NoteCreated
  • NoteModified
  • NoteFile
  • NoteForm
  • NoteFormType
  • NoteUNID
  • NoteRefUNI
  • NoteConflict
  • NoteAccessed
• The number of characters that are returned from Domino text fields:
  • By default, the maximum number of bytes that is allowed in a string associated with a text field is 254, and a rich text field is 512.
  • To get a larger number, maximum is 15360, include these keywords in your URL:

    jdbc:domino:/<filename>[/Server>][;<keyword>=<attribute>]
    

    where <keyword> is the MaxVarcharLen for the text field, and the MaxLongVarcharLen for rich text field. For example, jdbc:domino:/Sample.nsf/angkorwat.svl.ibm.com;MaxVarcharLen=500.
