DB2 Everyplace includes Apache Derby under the directory <DSYPATH>\Clients\derby, where <DSYPATH> is the root installation directory of DB2 Everyplace. Data type mapping information between Apache Derby and the various source databases is in the DB2 Everyplace documentation.

New support and enhancements in DB2 Everyplace V9.1.5

  • Mirror pruning enhancement in DB2 Everyplace V9.1.5

The pruning policy for deleted data in mirror databases is updated in DB2 Everyplace 9.1.5. You can set a maximum number of days that deleted data records can stay in the mirror database. Deleted data records that have remained in the mirror database for more than that time will be pruned. Devices that have not been synchronized for more than that number of days will be reset. For more details, see http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=212&context=SSKTG6&dc=DB560&dc=DB520&uid=swg21429490&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en

  • Enhancement on port check in DB2 Everyplace configuration wizard

In previous releases, when you specify the server port and SSL port for the embedded application server, the DB2 Everyplace configuration wizard will check if the specified ports have already been allocated to system programs. In DB2 Everyplace 9.1.5, an enhancement is implemented to check all the ports being used to avoid port conflicts.

  • Enhancement for checking free disk space at the start of the installation

The installation program for DB2 Everyplace V9.1.5 automatically checks the free disk space at the start of the installation. If there is not enough free disk space for the installation, the installation program will stop and give a reminder to users. This enhancement saves a lot of time for users from installing or upgrading to DB2 Everyplace V9.1.5 on a system that does not have enough disk space.
