1.Problems/issues addressed in this fix:
===========================================
This hotfix is for IBM InfoSphere Identity Insight v8.0.0 fix pack 2 users who and have installed the information center and IBM Eclipse Help System (IEHS).  A vulnerability was found in IEHS that can permit a local user to exploit and gain escalated privilege.

3. Prerequisites:
=================

IBM InfoSphere Identity Insight Version 8.0.0 fix pack 2 with the Information Center installed.

4. Implementation steps
=======================


For AIX:
------------

To apply the hotfix, please do the following:

1. Copy the required files to your hard drive.

2. Stop the pipelines.

3. Stop the IBM Identity Insight application by running the StopEAS script.

4. Delete the contents of the <Identity_Insight_product_installation>\ibm_help\ directory and all subdirectories.

5. Uncompress the contents of the iiv8r0fp2_aix64_iehsfix.tar file to a temporary directory.

6. Copy the contents of the temporary directory to <Identity_Insight_product_installation>\ibm_help\ .

7. Start the pipelines by running the StartEAS script.



For Linux (x86, 64-bit) (and Solaris for sparc, Solaris for xSeries, HPUXm and Linux for zSeries):

To apply the hotfix, please do the following:

1. Copy the required files to your hard drive.

2. Stop the pipelines.

3. Stop the IBM Identity Insight application by running the StopEAS script.

4. Make a backup of the <Identity_Insight_product_installation>\ibm_help\start.sh file.

5. Make a copy of the <Identity_Insight_product_installation>\ibm_help\eclipse\configuration\config.ini file.

6. Delete the contents of the <Identity_Insight_product_installation>\ibm_help\ directory and all subdirectories.

7. Uncompress the contents of the iiv8r0fp2_linuxia32_iehsfix.tgz file to a temporary directory.

8. Copy the contents of the temporary directory to <Identity_Insight_product_installation>\ibm_help\ .

9. Copy the backup of your start.sh file from Step 3 to <install>\ibm_help\ .

10. Copy the backup of your config.ini file from Step 4 to <Identity_Insight_product_installation>\ibm_help\eclipse\configuration\ .

11. Start the pipelines by running the StartEAS script.



For Windows (32-bit, 64-bit):

To apply the hotfix, please do the following:

1. Copy the required files to your hard drive.

2. Stop the pipelines.

3. Stop the IBM Identity Insight application by running the StopEAS script.

4. Make a backup copy of the <Identity_Insight_product_installation>\ibm_help\start.bat file.

5. Delete the contents of the <Identity_Insight_product_installation>\ibm_help\ directory and all subdirectories.

6. Uncompress the contents of the iiv8r0fp2_win_iehsfix.zip file to a temporary directory.

7. Copy the contents of the temporary directory to <Identity_Insight_product_installation>\ibm_help\ .

8. Copy the backup of your start.bat file from Step 3 to <install>\ibm_help\ .

9. Start the pipelines by running the StartEAS script.

Launch the product information center in a Web browser and make sure that content displays correctly.
