Subject: Upgrade
Problem: Error "master.dat is in use by another process" when upgrading the IDM DS system from Mezzanine 3.50b.
Resolution: This problem can occur if you have an entry in your NT registry that points to the old port number for Mezzanine instead of the new port number for MSSQLServer. To fix this, run regedt32.exe, and find the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\Client\ConnectTo
There is probably a value for this servername that points to the old port number.
For example:
MyServer:REG_SZ:dbmssocn,MyServer,8000
where MyServer is the name of this NT Server, and 8000 is the old port number for the Mezzanine property manager.
To solve the problem, delete this value. The upgrade should then continue correctly.
