Panagon CS Web Explorer Readme
Features of CS Web Explorer
New with the release of FileNET Software Patch CS-5.2.0-002:
- CS Explorer Configure Tool: Previous releases of the Web Admin tool required either IDM Desktop or Web Services to be installed on the web server. This requirement was necessary so an administrator could use the IDM Configure application to set up the libraries that would appear in the dropdown list in the logon dialog. This new application, CS Web Admin Configure, is now used for this purpose. Installing Desktop or Web Services is no longer required. This application stores library information in the system registry on the web server. The user is responsible for setting up the database connections to the libraries.
- New search capabilities: Search for, edit, copy, delete search objects.
Features added with the CS 5.2.0 release:
- Add and Maintain Users and Groups
- A list view toolbar has been added that allows you to:
- Move back and forth through blocks of objects
- Find specific objects
- Move alphabetically throughout the entire list
- Refresh
The use of the toolbar also extends to group
memberships, access lists, and any drop-down list that contains more than
100 values.
- A status bar has been added to the bottom of the list view that displays the range of information currently shown in the list view
- System configuration capabilities include:
- Adding storage categories
- Adding and selecting custom properties
- Adding and deleting objects
- Turning library services (Replication, Content Search Managers, Storage Managers) on and off (Windows 2000 only)
- HTML help
