Forms Manager Server
- Forms Manager Server is the new name for the product previously known as
Informed Quadra Server. The installation folder names that appear under
your Program Files have changed, including "FileNet"
(replaces "Shana"), "Forms Manager" (replaces "Quadra"),
and "Libraries" (replaces "Workplaces").
eForms Central Manager
- eForms Central Manager is the new name for the product previously known
as Workplace Manager. In addition to the name change, the icon for the application
and the appearance of the application window have changed.
- On the Desktop Clients page, the URL for the Desktop eForms Installer has
changed to
Common/Installers/DesktopeForms.exe
.
- On the General Page, HTTP protocol is the default
that is set for all requests and the I-Sign signature service. HTTPS can
now be specified for all requests or only for I-Sign signatures.
- In the Domain Entry dialog box, the 'Domain' drop-down list pre-populates
with available domains. If you have credentials for a domain that is not available
in the drop-down list, you can now enter the name of the domain in the 'Domain'
drop-down list.
- Tool tip and context sensitive help are available. If a user presses
the F1 key while the mouse is pointed at an empty spot on the panel, the
help topic for that panel appears. If the user presses F1 while the mouse
is hovered over a button or clicked in a field, a tooltip message appears
for the button, field, or checkbox.
- In the Installation Guide, the four user roles are described: user, form
author, form administrator, and account administrator. These roles are also
defined throughout the rest of the documentation.
- There are new customization features available for customizing the Library.config
file. See the Forms Manager Installation Guide for details.
HTML eForms
- For forms that open in a browser, the buttons on
the toolbar have new images.
- Tooltips have been removed to improve performance issues.
- The Print HTML button has been removed to eliminate confusion with the PDF button.
- For boolean data 0 and 1, HTTP data submits display those values as True or False, respectively.
eForms Central Library
- FileNet eForms Central Library is the new name for the product previously
known as Informed Quadra eForms Workplace. In addition to the name change,
the banner, navigation bar, buttons, and other interface elements have changed.
- The name of the current user and the current date now appear in the banner.
- Color and font settings for the eForms Central library are no longer specified
in the Quadra.config file. Instead, the default cascading stylesheet or
your own stylesheet is used for color and font settings for toolbars, dialog
boxes, and for the navigation bar.
- The Help, Home, Software, Account Information, and Personal Information
buttons are now links that appear in the top right corner.
Forms Designer
Desktop eForms
- Desktop eForms has been updated with new icons for the application,

Known Issues
The following notes describe known issues and critical information for this
release. Where applicable, each note includes the associated Defect Tracking System (DTS) number for reference and tracking purposes.
HTML eForms
- Template verification is not available for ITX Form Templates.
- In some Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers, when the user selects a
choice from a dynamic choice list, a horizontal scroll bar appears below the
choice list.
- If a form contains a field that is set up to convert a number to ASCII,
the PDF is not generated. (DTS 24598)
- Rule lines are displayed on a form in a browser as part of the background
image and are obscured by the white default fill color of the cell. As a workaround
for this, if you configure a cell with rule lines, set the fill
color of the cell to transparent. (DTS 46828)
- With versions of Internet Explorer other than 6.0 SP1, users may not see
the titles of some dialog boxes, including I-Sign, Signature Verification,
Insert Picture, and Remove Picture.
- When cell data is right-aligned, the last line preceding a hard return is
not aligned. When cell data is justified, the periods and commas are not properly
justified. In PDFs generated from an HTML eForm, cell data is not justified.
If it's set to be justified, vertical alignment (center or bottom) does not
work and hard carriage returns (press Enter before text is at the end of a
line) are deleted. (DTS 121172)
- The Tracking icon does not appear on forms but the Tracking button does.
(DTS 121419)
- A script and Application Object do not open a Microsoft Office application.
(DTS 121530)
- For a localized product, the Japanese currency symbol displays as "$"
instead of "\" symbol. (DTS 121717)
- Number constants are not rounded to the correct number of decimal places.
(DTS 121772)
- The AddHours, AddMinutes, AddSeconds, and MakeTime functions do not display
the seconds. (DTS 121781)
- When 0 or -1 are the parameters for an ACos function, the function returns
an incorrect result. (DTS 121783)
- ODBC data lookups and submits that contain character or date and time formatted
fields are not working as expected with SQL databases. However, if a character
formatted field is change to text, the submit and lookup works as expected.
(DTS 137496)
- The Acos, Alog, Exp, and LN1 functions do not display accurate values. (DTS
137741)
- Saving a picture from a picture cell does not work. Saving a picture from a picture cell does not work. (Resolved with the following exception: This is still a known issue on a Mac 10.2 operating system using Internet Explorer 5.2.) (DTS 165134)
eForms Central Library
- Duplicate folder names and document names are allowed.
- Errors occur when the Forms Manager writes to the event log. (DTS 24589)
- For a localized product, when you use non-English characters in the Title field of the Search dialog box, the search does not find the form. (DTS 62820)
- For a localized product, there is no horizontal scroll bar in the window. (DTS 64476)
- For a localized product, the side bar is not wide enough to display all translated characters. (DTS 120523)
- You cannot log in to an eForms Central library using Netscape 6.2.X with
a supported Windows operating system. (DTS 121776)
- Template names in the library were not rebranded. In the 'Type' column,
ITX Form Templates display with the old name "eForms XML Template"
instead of "ITX Form Template" and Desktop Form Templates display
as "eForms Template" instead of "Desktop Form Template."
(DTS 121816)
- For the French product, you cannot create a new account using extended characters. (DTS 123352)
- For the French product, on the Accounts page, the text of the column headings and the text in the rows below the headings are not aligned. (DTS 123374)
- For the French product, a tracking error message is not localized. (DTS 123386)
- For the French product, when you change a form's Status property, some text on the form does not display properly. (DTS 123393)
- For the French product, on the Accounts page, a string on the title bar is not localized. (DTS 123466)
- For the French product, a string in the Resolve Recipient dialog box is not localized. (DTS 123559)
- For the French product, when you close a form, extended characters do not display correctly in the confirmation message. (DTS 123574/135176)

- On all pages of the French product, the long date format is incorrect. (DTS 135036)
- For the French product, a string is not localized in the error message for the Save icon of a picture cell. (DTS 135050)
- When creating user accounts, while a user can be set up with a long password, the user cannot login if the password exceeds 20 characters. (DTS 137498)
- In the Banner area, First and Last names with longer character strings do not wrap text, causing the Home, Help, Software, Account Info, and Personal Info links to move outside of the web page. (DTS 137499)
- The "exact phrase" option in the Search action does not perform as expected. (DTS 147224)
- When a document is added to the library without a title, the filename of the document becomes the default title. However, no results are returned when the user clicks Search to locate the document by its filename. (DTS 147321)
Forms Designer
- Template authorization and verification (Form > Authorization
> Authorize Template and Verify Template) are not available for
ITX Form Templates.
- If you send an ITX Form Template to another form author, any graphic defaults
you have set or test data that you have created for the template will be lost.
This is because the preferences information is not stored in the template.
- When Form package documents are open (.ipk), duplicate template names are
created. (DTS 24266)
- On Macintosh, you cannot save files that contain Japanese characters in
the file name on a non-Japanese system. With eForms Designer for Macintosh
OS X, when a file is saved with a name consisting of multi-byte characters
(e.g., Japanese), that filename overwrites its parent directory name. This
has been documented in the "Designing International Language Forms"
topics in the Forms Designer Help. (DTS 72390)
- On all browsers and platforms, the LN and LN1 functions produce the same
results. (DTS 91842)
- On all browsers and platforms, the EXP and EXP1 functions produce the same
results. (DTS 91854)
- When the 'Print on Overflow Pages' cell setting is selected, overflow pages
print only if the 'Include scroll bar' checkbox is selected in the Field Setting
dialog box for the cell. (DTS 103860)
- When text is viewed in an enlarged view, it is not evenly aligned. (DTS
104119)
- The Part function is supported only for printing templates while in test
mode in Forms Designer. For an HMTL eForm, users cannot see or print multipart
pages or the labels that you specify for each part. (DTS 118284)
- On Macintosh, Forms Designer "Preference" dialog corrupts extended characters.
(118395)
- HTTP lookups require a forward slash at the end of the host name or the
beginning of the CGI query. (DTS 118633)
- The Japanese date mask format is not working. (DTS 120819)
- On Macintosh, the Arabic locale is not supported. (DTS 120924)
- Forms Designer does not display Arabic date format. (DTS 120968/121154/121208)
- If you select the Complete installation option (which installs all plug-ins),
or if you select the Custom option and specify that the Entrust plug-in is
to be installed, error messages will appear during the installation if the
software does not exist on your system. You can ignore the errors and install
the Entrust software later, or you can install it before you install Forms
Designer. (DTS 121353)
- When a form is generated as a PDF and contains multi-byte text in a static text object with one or more style changes applied to the text (e.g., bold and red text) or contains two or more lines of text, the PDF does not display properly. To generate a PDF that contains multi-byte text in a static text object, copy and paste single lines of text into separate text boxes. (DTS 134699)
- The choice list setting "Auto Display Palette" is incorrectly turned off when you select multiple cells on the form template, change the data color, and then click OK. (DTS 142092)
- The following documentation is missing in the Forms Designer help topic "Document Methods" topic: For the export method, the whichCells argument is ignored when exporting to XML format. (DTS 148990)
- The online help for ODBC Lookup refers to submitting data rather than the lookup function. (DTS 154095)

- Closing a template in FD then dragging and dropping a template causes a second window menu to appear. (DTS 167325)
- With the document window maximized, closing one template then opening another template will cause a second window menu,
and the minimize, resize, and close corner buttons to be added again. (DTS 167325)
- Mouse scroll wheel does not work after switching to test mode and back. (197203)
Browser Issues
- Rule lines are not supported in browser forms. (DTS 46828)
- When using an eForms Central library, pop-up blocking software should be
disabled or some features in the eForms Central library might not work. For
more information, see the topics "Deploying Templates" and "About
Deployment and Distribution" in the Forms Designer Help. (DTS
103062)

then closes without opening the form. (DTS 122370)
- For the French product, when you open the New Data Document dialog box,
click Add Other Template, and then expand the Files of type drop-down list,
the name for Desktop Form Template is incorrect. (DTS 123476)
- For the French product, extended characters in the Description field in
the New Data Document > Services > Local Templates Folder
dialog box do not display correctly. This occurs also in the Open dialog box
that is accessed from the File menu as well as in the local form path that
is created when you open a form from an eForms Central library. (DTS 123477)

and directory strings and filename of the path, rather than treating it as
a single path. (DTS 141013)

the required trusted domain information added to the quadra.config file to
make the foreign security feature work. (DTS 46769)
- When a Macintosh request is made to the Forms Manager server, it passes
