You can modify the security settings so that a user assigned
to the Records User role can create a version of a document that is
declared as a record by another user, who is also assigned to the
Records User role. To complete this task, must update the security
of the appropriate document classes on the FPOS. Before you modify
the document classes, you should run the security script wizard as
part of the typical object store configuration process.
The default instance security on the Record Class is set
to give the Records Manager User group rights to Minor Versioning
and Major Versioning, which define security on the record itself.
Users who cannot browse to the document due to container or folder
security can still access the record through search or reports.
These
are the document classes that you must update in the FPOS:
- Default
- Electronic Record
- Email Record
- Marker Record
- Included with NARA properties
