You can launch a workflow from a workflow policy that has a form associated with it.
To launch a workflow from a form
NOTE You can also launch a workflow from a form template that is assigned to a workflow. If this is the case, the form opens with a Launch button on the form toolbar. If there are multiple workflow policies attached to the form template, the Select Form Policy page is displayed. Click Select below the description of the document or workflow policy to open the form. To exit, click Close.
If the form template is not associated with a workflow policy or document policy, the form opens in a read-only state, and you cannot fill out the form.
If you need to launch the form later, click save. After the form is saved, it closes. Click Exit on the Launch Workflow page. For information about launching a saved workflow form, see "To launch a saved workflow form" in Save Forms.
NOTE When you save the form to launch it later, only the edits to the form data are saved. Edits to Workflow Groups and Attachments are not saved.
If the form contains a Workflow Groups button, you can modify the users/groups assigned to workflow groups. If the form contains an Attachments button, you can assign and unassign attachments.
For a description of other buttons that can appear on a form at different steps of the business process see Workflow based form operations.
