IBM Enterprise Records, Version 5.1.+

Configuration Manager command-line reference

Configuration Manager can be run from a command line. This section covers the syntax for the command-line version of Configuration Manager.

There are several reasons why you choose to run the Configuration Manager from the commend line as opposed to using the graphical user interface: You begin by generating the configuration XML files that define the application server, the profile type and the XML file path. You then edit the files to enter values for your environment. Finally you deploy IBM® Enterprise Records by running the tasks from the command prompt.
Important: The configuration XML files that you create with either the GUI or command-line version of the Configuration Manager tool can be used with the other version. For example, you can create the files with the command-line version and then use the GUI version to open the profile, edit the values, and run the configuration tasks.
