IBM Enterprise Records, Version 5.1.+

Configuring localized object stores

IBM® Enterprise Records supports localized object stores for the Base data model, the Portuguese DoD data model, and the DoD Classified data model.

This task describes how to import the localized IBM Enterprise Records data model into your upgraded object stores. Perform the following steps for each object store you want to configure for a specific locale.

To import localization add-ons to your object stores:

  1. Verify that you have copied the relevant localized source files to the Content Engine server as part of Copying the required configuration files.
  2. Log on to IBM FileNet® Enterprise Manager as a Records Administrator for the object store you want to configure.
  3. Right-click the object store that you want to configure, and select All Tasks > Import All.
  4. Select the Import Options tab of the object_store Import Helper dialog box.
  5. Click Browse next to the Import Manifest File text box, and select the file you want to import:
Table 1. Base model localization files to import
Object store type File to import
    FPOS CE_install_path/FileNet/ContentEngine/resources/locale/Base/Base_FPOS_Localize_locale.xml
    ROS CE_install_path/FileNet/ContentEngine/resources/locale/ROS_locale.xml
    FPOS with NARA properties CE_install_path/FileNet/ContentEngine/resources/locale/NARA_locale.xml
Table 2. Portuguese DoD data model localization files to import
Object store type File to import
    FPOS CE_install_path/FileNet/ContentEngine/resources/pt/DoD/DoD_FPOS_Localize_pt.xml
    ROS CE_install_path/FileNet/ContentEngine/resources/pt/ROS_pt.xml
    FPOS with NARA properties CE_install_path/FileNet/ContentEngine/resources/pt/NARA_pt.xml

In these tables locale corresponds to the locale you want to import. For a list of locale abbreviations, see Installing in a non-English environment installation.

  6. In the Log File text box, specify the path to the Content Engine import log file. Then select Append if the log file already exists to ensure that the existing log file is not overwritten.
  7. Select Retry Failed Imports so that the import is retried in the event of an error.
  8. Click Import to start the import process.
  9. Click Exit to close the object_store Import Helper dialog box.
