Running the Declare Record workflow

You can run an imported workflow using the Process Designer.

To run the sample workflow:

  1. From the Process Designer, open the newly imported workflow definition.
    For more information:
    • If your IBM® FileNet® P8 system is Version 4.5.1: See the IBM FileNet P8 documentation User Help topic Integrated workflow > Workflow applications > Process Designer > Getting started in Design mode > Open a workflow definition.
    • If your IBM FileNet P8 system is Version 5.0: See the IBM FileNet P8 Version 5.0 Information Center topic Integrating workflow into document management > Process Designer > Getting started in Design mode > Open a workflow definition.
  2. To change the type of record to be declared, specify the symbolic name of the record in the EntityType text box.
  3. Click PropertyName to specify the required properties for the record to be declared.
  4. Click PropertyValue to specify values for the selected properties.
  5. Click the Category link.
  6. Click the Assign link displayed under Category to specify the record category or record folder where this record needs to be declared.
  7. Click the Document to Declare link.
  8. Click the Assign link displayed under DocumentToDeclare to specify the document that is being declared as a record.
  9. Click Launch.
