Setting advanced criteria settings

You can define up to five properties to use as filter criteria. You can also choose to display fields for entering content criteria and filtering by class. You can choose one of the properties for sorting the results. By default, Sort On is selected for the first property.

To set advanced criteria settings:

  1. Select one or more property names from the lists.
  2. Select appropriate operators.
  3. Select either AND or OR to specify the relationship between the current property and the next. For example, if both the first and the second property must be true, select AND for the first property.
  4. Select the Sort On radio button to specify the property by which items should be sorted.
  5. For Show Content Contains, select Show to display this field (for searching the content of text documents), or Hide for a simpler interface that does not display this field. (This does not apply to custom objects.)
  6. For Show Filter Class, select Show to display a field that lets you specify a class to use for filtering, or Hide for a simpler interface that does not display this field.
  7. To specify a default filter class, click Select Class and select a class. Click Clear Class to remove the default class. All classes will be used if you do not select a class.
  8. To include subclasses of the class you selected, check the Include Subclasses check box.
