Use redaction to modify images or files opened in the viewer, removing portions of the file for privacy reasons. Redaction is not just covering up parts of a file. Bit by bit, redaction digitally removes sections of the file so that users can no longer see confidential information.
When you save the new redacted file, you can save the file only as a TIFF or PDF document. Redacted PDF files are saved as PDFs; all other redacted file formats are saved as TIFF files.
