checkStatus command

The checkStatus command checks the status of the previously run tasks or profiles. The command name is not case sensitive.

checkStatus command syntax

You can use the command to report the status of previously run tasks. This can be done for either one task or all tasks in a profile.

The following syntax includes line breaks to format the command for reading. Enter the command and options on a single line, without any line breaks.

configmgr_cl.exe checkStatus [-task task_type | 
-taskfile task_file_name] 
-profile profile_path [-debug] [-help]

checkStatus command parameters

-task task_type
The -task task_type parameter specifies which task to use for the status check. You can omit the -task task_type parameter if you want to check all of the tasks or if you specify the -taskfile task_file_name parameter. The task_type value is not case sensitive.
-taskfile task_file_name
The -taskfile task_file_name parameter specifies the task to check. The task_file_name value is not case sensitive. Task file names are reported by the listTasks command.
If neither -task or -taskfile is specified, all task status in the profile will report.
-profile profile_path
The -profile profile_path parameter specifies the full directory path to the profile such as C:\Program Files\IBM\EnterpriseRecords\configure\profiles\WASWebApplicationDeploymentProfile\ or the relative path to the ..\profiles folder.
-debug
The -debug parameter enables logging for the command.
Restriction: This parameter is not supported on HP-UX installations.
-help
The -help displays the command help.

checkStatus command examples

The following examples include line breaks to format the command for reading. Enter the command and options on a single line, without any line breaks.

Check the status of a profile.
The following command checks the status of the WSWebApplicationDeploymentProfile profile in the C:\Program Files\IBM\EnterpriseRecords\configure\profiles\WSWebApplicationDeploymentProfile directory:
 configmgr.exe_cl checkStatus -profile "C:\Program Files
\IBM\EnterpriseRecords\configure
\profiles\WSWebApplicationDeploymentProfile"
Check the status of one task in a profile.
The following command checks the status of the deployWebApplication.xml task file in the C:\Program Files\IBM\EnterpriseRecords\configure\profiles\WSWebApplicationDeploymentProfile directory:
 configmgr.exe_cl.exe checkstatus -taskfile 
deployWebApplication.xml -profile "C:\Program Files\IBM
\EnterpriseRecords\configure\profiles
\WSWebApplicationDeploymentProfile"
Display the help for the checkstatus command.
The following command displays the help for the checkstatus command:
configmgr.exe_cl checkstatus -help
