Each annotation has default security settings. If you have appropriate permission settings, you can set the security on an annotation to limit which users can view, edit, or remove the annotation. The security of each annotation is independent of other annotations and independent of the underlying image's security, although the default security can be derived from the underlying document.
Your site administrator determines if the default security for an annotation is derived from the document object default security settings or if the default security for an annotation is derived from the annotation class default security settings. Your site administrator defines classes and their default security settings with tools outside of the application.
