Reconfiguring IBM Enterprise Records sweep applications

After upgrading the sweep application and before you can run the IBM® Enterprise Records Disposition Sweep or Hold Sweep applications, you must reconfigure them to add new configuration entries.

To reconfigure IBM Enterprise Records Sweep applications:

  1. Refer to the planning checklist you completed for values you might need to complete these steps. See the link at the end of this topic.
  2. Locate the RMSweepConfiguration.xml and RMHoldSweepConfiguration.xml files in the backup directory:
    Option Description
    FileNet® Records Manager 4.0 and 4.5 RM_backup_path/FileNet/RM/RecordsManagerSweep/lib/config

For more information, see the link at the end of this topic about backing up your previous installation.

IBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records 4.5.1 ier_backup_path/FileNet/RM/RecordsManagerSweep/lib/config

For more information, see the link at the end of this topic about backing up your previous installation.

  3. Copy the files to the following location on the IBM Enterprise Records Sweep server: ier_install_path/RecordsManagerSweep/lib/config.
  4. Set the QueryPageMaxSize property, as follows: Before you configure Hold Sweep, the system administrator must set the system value for the QueryPageMaxSize property to a value larger than will be used for the Retrieval Batch Size.
    1. In IBM FileNet Enterprise Manager, access the FileNet P8 domain properties page by right-clicking the top node and selecting Properties.
    2. Select the Properties tab.
    3. From the Subsystem Configuration drop-down menu, select Server Cache Configuration.
    4. Select the Properties tab and set an appropriate value for the QueryPageMaxSize property. By default the QueryPageMaxSize property value is 1000. Set the value larger than the Retrieval Batch Size value (default 100000).
For more information about configuring your sweep tools, see the link at the end of this topic.
