Follow these instructions to configure the Transfer tool.
To configure the Transfer tool:
- Log in to the server where you installed the Transfer tool.
On the Transfer Tool server, from the command line, open the Records
Manager Transfer Connection window by running one of the following
commands from the ier_install_path/RMTransfer directory:
- UNIX
./RMTransfer.sh -configure Connection
- Windows
RMTransfer.bat -configure Connection
- In the Records Manager Transfer Connection window, provide
the relevant data for your site in the following fields:
- Content Engine URL
- Enter the Content Engine URL
including:
- The connection type:
- WebSphere - iiop
- WebLogic - t3
- JBoss - jnp
- The Content Engine server
name or IP address
- The port value for your site, or select one of the default values
from the list:
- WebSphere - 2809
- WebLogic - 7001
- JBoss - 1099
- User Name
- Enter the login name of an authorized user with read and write
access rights to the Records Manager file plan object store.
- Password
- Enter the password associated with the User Name. The transfer
tool encrypts the password.
- In the Records Manager Transfer Connection window, click
one of the following options:
- Configure
- To save the changes and close the Records Manager Transfer Connection
window. Records Manager Transfer saves the changes to the ier_install_path/RMTransfer/lib/config/RMTransferConnection.xml file.
- Reset
- To restore the fields to their previous values. Records Manager
Transfer restores the fields with values saved in the RMTransferConnection.xml file.
If this is the initial configuration of the Transfer tool, the fields
are empty.
- Exit
- To close the Records Manager Transfer Connection window without
saving any changes.
