Using the IBM® Enterprise
Records Configuration
Manager, you can perform several configuration tasks. These tasks
are separated into three profiles.
These profiles and their list of tasks are completed in the
following order:
- Web Application Deployment profile - This profile configures and
deploys the IBM Enterprise
Records and Application Engine or Workplace XT web applications. Application
Server type and connection parameters must be specified.
- Object Store Configuration profile – This profile configures object
stores to allow storage of IBM Enterprise
Records related
objects. Content Engine connection
information must be specified for this profile.
- Object Store Upgrade profile – This profile upgrades File Plan
and Record Object Stores from previous versions of IBM Enterprise
Records and FileNet® Records
Manager. Content Engine connection information
must be specified for this profile.
Remember the following points when you prepare to configure IBM Enterprise
Records:
- You must redeploy the Application Engine or Workplace XT web application because
the configuration process modifies their files.
- If you need an accessible software version of Configuration Manager
for people with disabilities, use the command-line version of Configuration
Manager.
- If your system is HP-RISC, use the command-line
version of Configuration Manager.
- By default, the EAR file is located in the ier_install_path/deploy directory.
