(WebSphere Application Server 6.1 and 7.0 with SSL) Configuring the Transfer tool

For SSL environments with WebSphere® Application Server 6.1 and 7.0, you must edit the java.security file to configure the Transfer tool.

To configure the Transfer tool for SSL with WebSphere Application Server 6.1 and 7.0:

Edit the java.security file. You must use the JSSE socket factories instead of the WebSphere Application Server socket factories. On Windows, the java.security file is typically located in the C:/Program Files/IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/java/jre/lib/security directory.
