The Select Values page allows you to select one or more
current values. Depending on the type of value, you might select from
a predefined list of available values or you might enter text yourself.
These values are specified for a property of an entity, either when
adding it or modifying it later on its info page.
Select from predefined
values
For properties like supplemental markings, you select
from a list of predefined values. Any custom properties defined by
your administrators that have multiple predefined values, from which
you can select more than one, would use a separate selection screen.
The icons with double arrowheads (
Add All Items or
Remove
All Items) move an entire list of values in the direction
they point. Icons with a single arrowhead (
Add Selected
Items or
Remove Selected Items)
move one or more selected values from one list to the other, in the
direction of the arrowhead. Move values you want to select to the
Current Values list. Move values you do not want to select back to
the Available Values list. Then click
Accept.
Select
from hierarchical predefined values
In some cases, the predefined
values do not appear immediately. You select them by navigating to
them.
- Click Add New Value and navigate to the
item you want to select for a current value. When you find it, click Select beneath
its description.
- To remove a current value, select it and click the red minus icon
(Remove Selected Items).
- Click Accept when finished.
Manual text entry
When
there are no predefined values, such as for e-mail addresses, downgrade
on events, or declassify on events, you enter text in the Enter Value
field. Move it to the Current Values list by clicking the yellow plus
icon (Add Item).
- To remove a current value, select it and click the red minus icon
(Remove Selected Items).
- If you want items listed in a particular order, select them and
click the blue up or down arrow icons.
- When the Current Values are listed as you want them, click Accept.
