Verifying the Content Engine JDBC connection in Crystal Reports

Using the Crystal Reports designer, verify the JDBC connection with Crystal Reports.

To verify the IBM® FileNet® Enterprise Manager JDBC connection:

  1. Start the Crystal Reports designer.
  2. Click Blank Report.
  3. In the Database Expert dialog box, expand the Create New Connection node and then click JDBC (JNDI). The Connection URL and the Database Classname appear in the JDBC (JNDI) dialog box.
  4. Click Next.
    Tip: The Connection URL is identical to the JDBCURL you configured in a Content Engine JDBC connection with Crystal Reports.
  5. Enter your password and click Finish.
  6. Log on as the GCD Administrator user you configured to be JDBCUserName in Creating a Content Engine JDBC connection with Crystal Reports.
  7. Verify that a list of available tables appear under the Connection URL node (labeled with the value you entered for JDBCURL) in the Database Expert dialog box.
