Generating the configuration XML for the web application deployment profile

From the command line, you can generate the required configuration XML files for the IBM® Enterprise Records web application deployment profile with a single command.

When you run the generateConfig command, the required configuration XML files for the web application deployment profile are created for a single application server or a high availability installation.

To generate the configuration XML files for the web application deployment profile:

  1. Log on to the IBM Enterprise Records server as a user with permissions to run the Configuration Manager. Open a command window.
  2. Change the current directory to ier_install_path/configure, where ier_install_path is the location where the IBM Enterprise Records software is installed.
  3. Run one of the following commands depending upon your environment. Do not type any line breaks when you enter the command. For more information on the generateConfig command see the link at the end of this topic.
