IBM Enterprise Records, Version 5.1.+

Enabling or disabling auditing

To generate audit log entries, you must enable auditing using Enterprise Manager. To audit events on IBM® Enterprise Records entities, enable auditing on the FPOS that contains the entities. To audit events on declared documents, enable auditing on the Record Object Store (ROS) that contains the documents.

Once you enable auditing, the system automatically generates audit log entries for all instances of the auditing-enabled classes in the object store. By default, the RMAudit event (which audits some IBM Enterprise Records actions) is enabled for the record category, record folder, and volume classes.

To enable auditing:

  1. Log on to Enterprise Manager as System Administrator.
  2. Right-click the object store for which you want to enable auditing and select Properties.
  3. In the General tab of the Properties window, select the Auditing Enabled? checkbox.
  4. Click Apply to save changes and then click OK.
  5. Restart the Apache server.
To disable auditing, clear the Auditing Enabled? checkbox.
