As an administrator, you configure the FileNet® P8 domain, install add-on
features, and export and import objects within or between FileNet P8 domains.
Changing the WebSphere security configuration for Content Platform Engine
When you deploy Content Platform Engine on WebSphere® Application
Server, it is automatically (by
default) governed by WebSphere global
security. If you created one or more WebSphere security domains, you can
have Content Platform Engine use one
of them instead. Or if you previously moved Content Platform Engine into one security domain,
you can move it into another. You can also move Content Platform Engine from a security domain
back to global security.
FileNet P8 domains
The FileNet P8 domain
represents a logical grouping of physical resources and the Content Platform Engine servers that provide
access to those resources. Each resource and server belong to only
one domain. A server can access any resource in the domain, but cannot
access any resource that lies outside of the domain.
Add-on features
Add-on features are modules containing custom metadata
(classes and properties) and data (objects such as folders, custom
objects, and so on) that support extensions to core Content Platform Engine features, as well as
support applications that integrate with Content Platform Engine.
