Process Configuration Console symbols

The Process Configuration Console symbols indicate the type of object.

Workflow system folder icon Workflow systems folder
Workflow system icon Workflow system

The workflow system represents the workflow system that is accessible from your client application. You set system-wide options in the workflow system properties, including enabling Case Analyzer or Rules processing and specifying various runtime options.

Isolated region icon Isolated region

The isolated region represents a logical subdivision of the workflow system database.

You can have more than one isolated region in the workflow system, but only one is accessible for workflow processing from each Workplace XT or Workplace site.

Component queue icon Component queue

Component queues contain work items to be processed by an external entity, such as a Java™ operation or a Java Message Service (JMS) operation.

Work queue icon Work queue.

Work queues are user-defined queues that hold work items for processing by a workflow participant with access to the queue or by an automated process.

Workflow roster icon Workflow roster.

Workflow rosters are database tables that store information about all running workflows for use by the workflow system and workflow administrators. DefaultRoster is automatically created when you create an isolated region.

User queue icon User queue.
  • Users see their own work in the Inbox.
  • Tracker items are displayed in the user's Tracker queue.
  • The Inbox and Tracker user queues are automatically created when you create an isolated region.
Event log icon Event log

Event logs are database tables that record the occurrence of certain system-level events that are related to work item processing, such as when a work item is created. DefaultEventLog is automatically created when you create an isolated region.

Application space icon Application space

Application spaces are organizational containers for the resources that are used in an application. DefaultApplication is automatically created when you create an isolated region.
