Attempting to index documents in an IBM® Content Search Services server fails.
Symptoms
The following error appears in the
Content Platform Engine error log:
CBR_INSO_INSTALL_BINARY_NOT_FOUND:
INSO binaries files not found
Causes
The Content Platform Engine server
was unable to find the Oracle® Outside In Search Export product, which
is the technology used by the Content Platform Engine to convert documents
from binary to text for indexing.
Diagnosing the problem
View the
Content Platform Engine server's
startup page (also known as the ping page). You can access this page
with an internet browser using the following link on the server:
http://<CEServerHost>:9080/FileNet/Engine
Where
9080 is the http port configured for the application server that is
hosting the
Content Platform Engine,
and CEServerHost is the server name. If there is no INSO Version entry
in the
Content Platform Engine server's
startup page, then the Oracle® Outside In Search Export product is
either not installed or installation of it is not complete.
Resolving the problem
To resolve the problem, you need to rerun the Configure
Bootstrap and Text Extraction task and the Deploy Application task
in
Configuration Manager. You can
run these tasks interactively (using the GUI) or silently (using the
command line).
