Refederating index properties

If some properties cannot be exported due to mismatched property mappings or some other error, you can refederate them after you correct the mismatched property mapping.

About this task

The document IDs of the index properties that were not exported are listed in the content federation export error log file that is named cfsis_errlog_yyyymmdd.txt in the following directory:

Procedure

To refederate index properties that were not exported:

  1. Review the log file to determine the reason why the properties did not export.
  2. Correct the mismatched property mapping.
  3. On the FileNet® Image Services Root/Index server, log on as the FileNet software user, such as fnsw.
  4. Start the refederation process by entering the following command at the command line:
    INX_cfs_recovery  –docidfile  DocIDFile_name  -v
    DocIDFile_name
    The full path name of the export error log or some other plain text file that contains a list of document IDs, one on each line, as shown in the following example:
    105001
    105005
    105110
    -v
    Specifies verbose mode.

    For example, enter the following command:

    INX_cfs_recovery  –docidfile  /fnsw/local/logs/cfsis/cfsis_errlog_20110804.txt  -v
