Increasing the number of threads that are allowed by Content Services

If IBM® FileNet® CFS for Content Integrator is running more threads than are allowed by Content Services, increase the number of threads that are allowed by Content Services.

About this task

If you receive the error "Unable to retrieve item" while federating documents from Content Services, the cause might be that content federation is running more threads than Content Services allows. By default, Content Services allows 10 simultaneous library requests per user credential (user name and password). By default, content federation uses 10 export workers, 5 run workers, and 10 importer agents, totaling 25 threads, which is more than Content Services allows by default.

The following message is an example of the error that is returned:

ERROR - Unable to retrieve the item from IICE with
id=003670303 for run with id=989F68C0-160C-D9C0-1379-3E583B52C4F6
