You can use an existing import options set file or create a new import options set file
to configure the options for the import. These options control the import process for converted
objects into the destination environment.
The import options include settings for creating and updating objects; importing workflow
configurations; importing of object metadata such as security permissions, ownership, IDs, and time
stamps; selecting storage policies; selecting to generate an audit file for the import; and many
other options. You can save the selections that you make for the import options as an import options
set file to ensure that the import options for multiple operations are consistent. Both the
graphical user interface and the command-line interface of FileNet® Deployment Manager use the import options set file to contain the import options.
Therefore, the import options set file can be shared between users or between instances of
operations that are completed by using the command-line interface.
To configure an import options set file:
- In FileNet Deployment Manager, start the Import wizard and click
New or click Configure.

- Select the directory and file, and click Open.

- Click OK. If you did not save your changes, a confirmation message is displayed. Click
OK to save the changes and continue with the import operation.
