You can use Content Consistency Checker
to repair a replica in an advanced storage area. Replica repair occurs
in the background, performed by a content replication queue sweep
on Content Platform Engine.
Important: Replica repair is not a substitute for maintaining
full backups of your content. Use Consistency Checker only to repair
a replica with a limited number of content files that are corrupt
or missing, not as a means to maintain a backup of another storage
device.
Before you begin
This procedure assumes the following items:
Procedure
Run the following procedure on every advanced storage
area with which the replica is associated.
To repair a replica
in an advanced storage area:
- Follow the steps in Validate
a storage area.
For better repair performance,
set a date range to limit the data set to only the data that requires
repair.
In the Validate Storage Areas window:
- The read-only field Storage Area(s) in Auto Repair
mode is set to Yes if the content
integrity options on the advanced storage area are set correctly.
- Select the Suppress Error Logging option.
- When Content Consistency Checker completes validation,
rerun it on the advanced storage area until the error count goes to
zero.
When the error count is zero for all advanced
storage areas with which the replica is associated, the replica is
repaired.
