Process Services Administrator (eProcess)

Process Services Administrator is an MMC snap-in application you can use to configure and administer workflow system components on Windows platforms. When you start a component from Process Services Administrator, you spawn a process that runs in a service context and thus does not terminate when you log off and log back on as a different user.

In a system with Workplace clients, Process Services Administrator runs on Content Engine and is used to manage Process Routers on Content Engine.

In a FileNet Web Services Client or Open Client system, Process Services Administrator runs on both the web server and Process Engine; depending on where you run it, Process Services Administrator is used to manage Process Routers or to configure automatic launching of workflows.

Important: You cannot mix the use of Process Services Administrator and Process Task Manager for starting and stopping a Process Router. For example, if you used Process Task Manager to start a Process Router, you must again use that tool to stop the Process Router.
