You can install System Dashboard 5.0.0.1 as an upgrade
to a 5.0.0 version of the System Dashboard.
Important:
Before you upgrade to System Dashboard
5.0.0, you must uninstall the current version, or install 5.0 into
a different installation directory. If you installed the Usage Collector
and Reporter (an optional feature), and you want to access the data
from the previous (existing) report, install System Dashboard 5.0.0.1
to a new directory to prevent overriding the existing program files.
For more information, see Uninstalling the System Dashboard (
Uninstalling the System Dashboard on a UNIX installation or
Uninstalling the System Dashboard on a Windows installation graphically).
As of System Dashboard 5.0.0, InstallAnywhere replaces InstallShield
as the installation vehicle. System Dashboard 5.0.0.1 uses the InstallAnywhere
2011 SP4 installer, which relies on the presence of a suitable Java
virtual machine (JVM) on the target system to support the installation process.
JVM version 1.6 or higher is required.
InstallAnywhere does not specify a list of JVMs that are supported.
InstallAnywhere uses your current search path to locate the JVM for
use during installation or uninstallation. The installer, and the
System Dashboard itself, require a Sun, HP, or IBM JVM of version
1.6 or higher for correct operation.
