Configuring access rights for the Content Federation Services user

Assign the Content Federation Services user sufficient access rights in the source Content Platform Engine object store.

About this task

The Content Federation Services user must have the following access privileges on document versions that can be federated:

If IBM® Enterprise Records is installed on the target system, the Content Federation Services user must have the following additional access privileges on a document in the source object store to declare it a as a record.

The Content Federation Services user must also have full control on the locked marking in the CmFederatedLockMarkings marking set in the source Content Platform Engine object store.
Important:  The CFS ICI Lockdown Extensions add-on must be applied to the source object store during or after object store creation to make the CmFederatedLockMarkings marking set available.

Procedure

To grant the Content Federation Services user full control on the locked marking in the CmFederatedLockMarkings marking set in the source object store:

  1. Access the marking sets by using the Content Platform Engine administration console of the source object store:
    1. In the domain navigation pane, open the Global Configuration > Data Design > Marking Sets folder.
  2. Select the CmFederatedLockMarkings marking set.
  3. Click the Markings tab.
  4. Select the locked marking and click Edit.
  5. Modify the markings.
  6. Click OK.
