The vwtool utility runs on any remote client that can communicate with a Content Platform Engine server through a connection point. Within a Content Platform Engine system, vwtool accesses one isolated region at a time. Most of the information that vwtool returns is specific to an isolated region, though some vwtool commands return local server-specific information.
To start vwtool:
vwtool connection_point [-v] [-Y user_name + password][-N tenant_domain_name]
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
connection_point | The connection point name to the specific workflow system on which you want vwtool to run. |
-v | Verbose. |
-Y user_name + password | The user must belong to the Workflow system administration group. |
-N tenant_domain_name | The tenant domain, if multiple domains are set up. If you specify this parameter, you must be a member of the workflow administration master group. This group is in the master domain directory service provider and has permission to run workflow system administrative tools in the tenant domain in which the group is designated a master group. If you run this tool against a workflow system in a tenant domain, you must use the -N parameter. |
The vwtool prompt displays the current isolated region. After vwtool is running, you can change the isolated region as needed.
