Determine whether you must use FileNet® Deployment Manager or manual
processes to update the workflow definitions.
To update workflow definitions:
Select one of the following actions: - If a workflow definition document will be the current version of the document in the
destination environment after it is imported, use FileNet Deployment Manager to
help you transfer the workflow definition. When you are configuring the import options, select the
Transfer workflows after import import option. With this option selected,
FileNet Deployment Manager automatically transfers the workflow definition into
the destination workflow system after the import completes and updates any imported workflow
subscriptions to use the newly transferred workflow definition.
- If you cannot use the Transfer workflows after import import option
of FileNet Deployment Manager, the workflow definition must be explicitly
transferred after the import is complete. If the workflow definition is used in a workflow event
action that is part of a subscription, the subscription must be updated to reference the newly
transferred workflow definition in the destination environment. Use the instructions in Transferring workflow definitions and Updating workflow subscriptions to
update the workflow definitions.
