Publishing Web Services workflows to UDDI

The Publish workflows to UDDI window is organized into two tabs:

A workflow that contains a Receive system function, and that has been transferred to the workflow database, can be published to a UDDI registry.

  1. In Process Configuration Console, use the following steps to check that the publish URL has been defined for the UDDI registry where you will publish the workflow.
    1. Select the isolated region that contains the workflows to be published, and click Properties on the toolbar.
    2. On the Web Services tab, select the UDDI tab and then select the UDDI Registry List tab.
    3. Confirm that the publish URL exists for the UDDI registry. Close the Properties window.
  2. With the isolated region selected, click Action and select Publish to UDDI.
  3. On the Publish tab, click Search to list workflow definitions with web services that have been transferred in the isolated region.

You can enter the first few letters of the name of a workflow definition in Search Web Services workflows to limit the number of items returned.

  4. In Web Service workflow search result, select one or more workflows to publish.

Click Select to move the selected items into the selected items list.

  5. Under Select UDDI registry, select the one where you intend to publish the workflow.
Tip: An icon indicates any registry that cannot be reached.
  6. Click Publish.

If you have not previously published business entity information for the UDDI registry entry, you must specify the business name and business description, and then provide a user name and password for this business entity.

Tip: Some UDDI registries use a default language for business information entries that do not specify the language. If you would like to specify a language for your business description and other business entity information, publish your business entity information to the UDDI registry using the options on the Browse tab before you publish your web services.

You can continue with the following section of this topic to view the published business entity and web service in the UDDI registry.

In the Publish to UDDI window, the Browse UDDI tab displays the UDDI registries defined in the UDDI Registry list.

Note: This list includes only UDDI registry entries with publish URLs.

Browse UDDI dialog box

The UDDI business registry tree displays the following elements:

Root node
UDDI business registries
UDDI Registry node
The name specified in the UDDI Registry list identifies the combination of a UDDI Registry and a business entity. In the illustration, there are three UDDI registry nodes. These correspond to the UDDI registry entries defined in the UDDI Registry list. This symbol indicates that the item is not accessible. Unavailable
Business Entity node
Note that there is one business entity per UDDI Registry entry.
Business Service node
Each business service node represents a web service published to the business entity. You can specify multiple FileNet® workflows as web services under one business entity.
tModel node
The details pane contains the WSDL URL for this web service.

To manage the business entities and web services published in the UDDI registries accessible in the current isolated region, perform the following actions related to publishing business entities and web services:
