Recovering a legacy workflow system

When you recover a legacy workflow system, you can recover just the legacy workflow system without recovering any object store data.

Solution

If you recover a legacy workflow system without restoring object stores or storage areas from the same backup set, errors can occur during workflow processing, for example, if a referenced attachment is no longer available.

Workflows that encounter inconsistencies are automatically routed to the Conductor queue where you can manually resolve the problem.

Procedure

To recover legacy workflow system data:

  1. Stop the Content Platform Engine application on all servers.
  2. Recover the legacy workflow system data.
  3. If Case Analyzer stores are associated with the legacy workflow system, recover the Case Analyzer stores.
    Important: You must also recover the Case Analyzer stores when an individual isolated region is recovered.
