Indexing into many full-text indexes causes an error

An error occurs when an IBM® Content Search Services server performs concurrent index operations on many full-text indexes.

Symptoms

The IBM Content Search Services server fails to create indexes for the documents and the following errors occur:

Causes

By default, the maximum number of concurrent full-text indexes that can be indexed per IBM Content Search Services server is 16. If this number is exceeded, indexing failures can occasionally occur.

Resolving the problem

When this issue occurs, the Content Platform Engine server will automatically retry the batch that is associated with this exception. However, if you are seeing many occurrences of this issue and want to prevent it from occurring, ensure that there are enough IBM Content Search Services servers to handle the available full-text indexes. For example, if you have 32 full-text indexes that are being actively indexed to, verify that you have at least two IBM Content Search Services servers to handle the 32 full-text indexes.
