After you install IBM®
FileNet® CFS for Content Integrator, manually deploy the
Federation Administration web application into an application server.
The following are the prerequisites for deploying the Federation Administration application:
- Deploy the Federation Administration application into an application server on the same host
where both the content federation exporter and IBM Content Integrator are
installed.
- For highly available environments:
- WebSphere® and WebLogic Server: Deploy the application on the administrative server.
- JBoss Application Server: Deploy the application to each
farm node.
- The application server must be supported by Content Platform Engine.
- Make sure that you created the Federation Administration application administration user.
Verify that when the IBM
FileNet CFS for Content Integrator installer was run, you specified
these same credentials for the Content Integrator administrator.
- If the local user who stops and starts the application server differs from the user who
installed IBM
FileNet CFS for Content Integrator, give the local user read/write permissions
on the cfs_install_path directory structure.
- If the local user who stops and starts the application server differs from the user who
installed Content Integrator, give the local user read/write permissions on
the IBM_Content Integrator_install_path directory structure.
- Select one of the following deployment scenarios for the Federation Administration application:
- Deploying as a stand-alone application on an application server
- Collocated in the same application server instance as Content Platform Engine
- Collocated in a different application server instance from Content Platform Engine
Each of these deployment scenarios is slightly different and depends on which type of
application server the Federation Administration application is being deployed into.
The WAR file that contains the Federation Administration application is at the root of the
IBM
FileNet CFS for Content Integrator installation directory.
