FileNet P8 Case Analyzer, Version 5.2.1   Database:  Oracle

Creating a Case Analyzer database user for Oracle

Create a database user account that Case Analyzer uses to connect to Oracle databases that contain the global configuration database (GCD) and object stores.

After you create the Content Platform Engine database user for Oracle, you must create the Case Analyzer database administrator user. For more information about creating the Content Platform Engine database user for Oracle, see Creating a Content Platform Engine database user for Oracle.

  1. Create the following database account:
    Case Analyzer database user (Oracle)
    Unique identifier
    ca_db_administrator
    Description
The account that is used by the Case Analyzer services to access Oracle.
    Minimum required permissions
In addition to the Content Platform Engine database user permissions, grant each ca_db_administrator the following permission:
    • CREATE PROCEDURE
    Additional required permissions
If the database connection for Case Analyzer is shared with Content Platform Engine, the following additional permissions are required for the shared Oracle user:
    • CREATE ANY PROCEDURE
    • ALTER ANY PROCEDURE
    • DROP ANY PROCEDURE
    • EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE
These permissions are in addition to the privileges and permissions that are required for Content Platform Engine and Case Analyzer to share a database connection.
  2. Record these values in your customized Installation and Upgrade Worksheet. To find this property, search the worksheet for instances of ca_db_administrator.
