The administrators of your Content Platform Engine environment
must complete certain tasks to prepare the environment for the IBM®
FileNet® CFS for Content Integrator upgrade.
As the tasks are completed, record the relevant data in the Installation and Upgrade
Worksheet.
- IT Administrator
- Back up the following files:
- RMI proxy server startup scripts, such as Config.xml
- IBM Content Integrator
Config.xml
- IBM Content Integrator
sso.xml (requires download and use of IBM SSO Migration Tool)
- Database Administrator
- Make sure that your database is supported by the current version of IBM
FileNet CFS for Content Integrator. If not, upgrade to the required level before you start the
upgrade process.
- Back up all Federator databases before the upgrade begins.
- Security Administrator
- The accounts that are required for an upgrade are the same as for new installations. Review the
requirements that are described in Security administrator tasks.
- Application Server Administrator
- Check the JVM release levels
of the servers in your IBM
FileNet CFS for Content Integrator environment and upgrade to JVM
1.6 if necessary. You might also need to upgrade to a higher level of application server software to
achieve the level of IBM
FileNet CFS for Content Integrator support and the JVM
requirement.
