Start and stop legacy Component Manager

The Component Managers node allows a user to start and stop a legacy Component Manager. Alternatively, you can configure the application server to automatically start and stop a legacy Component Manager on an Application Engine server using WebLogic or WebSphere. Note that doing so disables Process Task Manager Start and Stop actions.

Note: To incorporate changes to the contents of a JAR file associated with a component queue, you must stop and restart the associated legacy Component Manager.

Starting legacy Component Manager also starts any of its components that have been configured to start automatically through Process Configuration Console.

  1. To start legacy Component Manager:
    1. Select Component Managers in the feature pane.
    2. To enable automatic startup of this process when the server is restarted, select the Automatically started (Windows) or Allow automatic startup from command line (UNIX) check box.
    3. Click Start on the toolbar.
  2. To stop legacy Component Manager:
    1. Select Component Manager in the feature pane.
    2. Click Stop on the toolbar.
