The following topics present an overview of a complete
recovery of the FileNet® P8 platform
by using your latest FileNet P8 backup.
Only by restoring all pieces of the backup can you ensure complete
consistency in the recovered system.
Procedure
To recover your FileNet P8 data:
- If necessary, restore any FileNet P8
component servers.
- Reinstall the FileNet P8 component
software as needed, including all fix packs. To view or download available
fix packs, navigate to the support home page (www.ibm.com/software/data/support)
and select the appropriate IBM® product
from the Select a category list.
- Reconfigure the software or restore the appropriate configuration
files from backup.
- Restore each of the following data from your FileNet P8 backup. You can restore
the backups concurrently, or in any order.
- Global configuration database
- Object stores
- Legacy workflow systems.
- Case Analyzer stores.
- Restore the Case Analyzer stores.
You can restore the Case Analyzer stores
from any backup that was made in the following time frame:
- Before or at the same time as the backup that was used to restore
the object store data or the legacy workflow system.
- After the most recent pruning of the workflow event logs or content
audit logs.
- Restore the Case Analyzer OLAP
database or recreate it by reprocessing the cubes after restoring
the Case Analyzer stores.
Tip: Cube processing requires exclusive use of the Case Analyzer stores and can impact Case Analyzer performance. Unless you
need this information immediately, wait for the regularly scheduled
cube processing to take place. You can view the cube processing schedule
for the Case Analyzer store
in the administration console.
