Verifying the destination environment

You can use the Administration Console for the Content Platform Engine and Content Navigator to verify deployment in the destination environment.

The following steps describe verification of the destination environment, in the context of this sample scenario. Before you make the deployed application available to users, verify the destination environment.

Verify that the application works in the new environment.
  1. Verify deployment of updated Content Platform Engine assets in the destination system, both the metadata and instance data. See Verify deployment of Content Platform Engine assets.
    • New property template InvoiceCustNameChar_PropTemplate in Object Stores > DestinationOS1 > Property Templates.
    • Updated document subclass Invoice_DocClass v2 in Object Stores > DestinationOS1 > Document Class. The administrator views the properties for this subclass and verifies that the workflow subscription (InvoiceWorkflowSubscription v2) is assigned to Invoice_DocClass v2.
    • Updated folder Customer Invoices Folder v2 in Object Stores > DestinationOS1 > Root Folder.
    • Updated documents Invoice Document, StoredSearch v2, and InvoiceWorkflowDefinition v2 in the Customer Invoices Folder v2.
  2. Verify deployment of assets.

Using the administration console for the Content Platform Engine, the workflow system administrator verifies the groups defined in the workflow definition (InvoiceWorkflowDefinition v2) are correctly configured.

Using Content Navigator's web client, the developer uses the Browse feature on the desktop to navigate to DestinationOS1 > Customer Invoices folder, and starts the workflow definition (InvoiceWorkflowDefinition) in the Customer Invoices Folder.
