Improving TCP socket performance on a Microsoft Windows operating system

You can improve TCP socket performance and prevent Java™ processing errors in a Microsoft Windows environment by:
  • Adjusting how fast TCP connections are recycled
  • Adjusting the number of connections that TCP can have open simultaneously
  • Adjusting the highest port number that TCP can assign
  • Adjusting how fast TCP connections are recycled, adjusting the number of connections that TCP can have open simultaneous, and adjusting the highest port number that TCP can assign, accordingly.
