If the content federation system configuration includes IBM® Enterprise Records, enable lockdown of source documents in IBM Content Manager so that federated documents can be properly declared as
records.
Procedure
To enable lockdown
- Log on to the IBM Content Manager administration client with
administrator credentials..
- Expand the library server node in the left pane of the IBM Content Manager administration client. The default name of the library server node is icmnlsdb.
- Expand the Library Server Parameters node
in the left pane.
- Click the Configurations node in
the left pane.
- Right-click the Library Server Configuration icon
in the right pane and select Properties from
the menu.
- Select the Features tab.
- Select the Enable Records Management check
box.
- Select the IBM Enterprise Records option.
- Click OK.
Results
Locking down an IBM Content Manager source document (item) sets the
ICMManagedRecord property to True, which restricts the following access rights to IBM Content Manager users that have the ItemRecordsAdmin privilege:
- Deleting the item
- Updating item attributes
- Updating the item content (document parts)
- Reindexing the item
- Creating a version when doing so would cause the total number of versions to exceed the maximum
number that is allowed by the item type definition.
Users that do not have the ItemRecordsAdmin privilege retain
all access rights that they had before the lockdown, except for the
access rights that were previously identified.
