After you deploy the Federation Administration application, log on to the application and
verify the communication with the Federator database.
Procedure
To log on to the Federation Administration application:
- Navigate your browser to the following address:
http://host:port/FedAdmin
- host
- The name or the IP address of the server where the Federation Administration application is
installed.
- port
- The port number of the application server.
- The WebSphere® Application
Server default
port is 9080.
- The WebLogic Server default
port is 7001.
- The JBoss Application Server default
port is 8080.
- Start the VeniceBridgeServices script on the IBM® Content Integrator server if it is not already running.
- Log on to the Federation Administration application by using the Federation Administration
application user credentials.
- Verify the communication with the Federator database:
- In the General Configuration page, change any value to some non-default
value, click Apply, and log off the Federation Administration
application.
- Log back on to the Federation Administration application.
- Check that the updated information is displayed. If the updated information is displayed, the
communication with the Federator database was successful. If the information is not correct, check
the application server log and fix any errors.
