An OpenStack storage device is a type of storage device used by advanced storage areas. OpenStack cloud storage devices enable cloud storage for your documents. Configuring the OpenStack device connector between Content Platform Engine and an OpenStack provider includes designating a login account.
Before you can configure an OpenStack Device Connection in Administration Console for Content Platform Engine, you must prepare your OpenStack provider, for example SoftLayer. This includes creating a SoftLayer device user account and password, creating one or more storage locations, also called tenants, and granting the device user account full control over the contents of the tenant. Enter these credentials when you run the New OpenStack Cloud Storage Device wizard in Administration Console for Content Platform Engine.
