A FileDoesNotExist error occurs during a thumbnail sweep

If you get a FileDoesNotExist error during a thumbnail sweep, you need to increase the thumbnail generation delay.

Symptoms

When running a thumbnail generation sweep, you get a FileDoesNotExist error.

Causes

If you are doing a sweep during the addition of a large number of documents to the database, then sometimes not all documents have finished processing while the sweep is trying to create a thumbnail for them. This causes the sweep not be able to retrieve some documents, and the process fails with a FileDoesNotExist error.

Resolving the problem

To resolve this problem, increase the thumbnail generation delay:
  1. In the administration console, select the domain and click the Properties tab.
  2. For the Subsystem Configurations property, select 3) Content Configuration from the list.
  3. In the Content Configuration Properties tab, increase the value of the Thumbnail Generation Delay property. (The default value is 90 seconds).
