In general, you recover all pieces of the FileNet® P8
platform. However, there might be situations where you want to restore only a portion of a backup
set. This section describes some options for restoring object stores, legacy
workflow systems, Case Analyzer
stores, storage areas, and files and offers examples of the kind of problems you might
encounter and, where possible, solutions for them.
Important: - In any partial recovery scenario, it is preferable to start from the current global
configuration database if it is available, rather than start from a backup copy of the global
configuration database. If necessary, you can reconfigure any objects that do not match the
restored data.
- If you perform an online backup, you must restore the entire backup set. You cannot restore
only a portion of an online backup set.
