When you are creating a scenario in Simulation Designer,
you can save it in either your local file system or in an object store.
Note: Before
you can run a simulation, you must check in the scenario to an object
store.
To save an open scenario to your local file system:
From the Simulation Designer File menu,
choose Save As.
Browse to the location where you want to store the file.
Enter a file name.
To add a scenario to an object store for the first time:
From the File menu, select FileNet
Add New.
Click Browse, then open the appropriate
object store and the wanted folder.
Enter a document title. The document title displays
in the list of scenarios.
Note: If you leave the document
title blank, the document title is displayed as a long number.
Specify security access for other users. (Optional)
Click Finish.
To save changes to an existing scenario that you have checked
out:
From the File menu, select one
of the following:
Use FileNet Check In to check in your changes
and unlock the file. This increments the version of the scenario.
Use FileNet Save to save your changes without
checking in.
FileNet Save does not increment
the version in the object store—only the checked in version is visible
in the object store. If you close the scenario or close Simulation
Designer after saving a scenario by using FileNet Save,
that scenario remains checked out to you. When you reopen that scenario,
it contains all changes up to the save. However, if you cancel the
checkout or another user assumes the checkout, all changes since the
last checkin are lost.
