Configure FileNet® Image Services to use the records administrator
group.
About this task
After record management security is configured, it cannot be removed.
Important: When you use Content Federation Services for Image Services with IBM® Enterprise Records, do not set an expiration date on documents that are stored in
FileNet Image Services. There is no automated way for the Content Federation Services for Image Services administrator user on theFileNet Image Services system to differentiate between record documents that are placed
on hold that cannot be deleted and those record documents that can be deleted.
Procedure
To configure FileNet Image Services to use the records
administrator group:
- Log in to FileNet Image Services as an administrator user.
- At the command line, enter SEC_rm_config to start the record management
configuration utility.
- Enter e to edit the configuration settings.
- Specify the security level that you want to assign.

Read only |
Any user who is not a member of the SysAdminG group and who already has at least read
privileges to the documents can view the documents only. This level is the default. Type

Append only |
Any user who is not a member of the SysAdminG group and who already has at
least read and append/execute privileges to the documents can view the documents and add
annotations. This security level includes read permission. Type w. |
No Change |
No additional security is applied. The same security settings that currently
exist in the FileNet Image Services index database apply. Type
n. |
- For the FileNet Record Manager group field, enter the name of the
records administrator group that you created.
- Select the activity logging level.
- Optional: Type d to display the current settings before saving.
- Enter s to save the new settings.
- Enter q to exit the record management configuration utility.
