Deploying a stand-alone Federation Administration application on WebLogic Server

You can deploy the Federation Administration application on Oracle WebLogic Server as a stand-alone web application.

Procedure

To deploy the Federation Administration application on Oracle WebLogic Server as a stand-alone web application:

  1. Create a WebLogic Server domain to host the Federation Administration application. For example, create a domain that is named cfsdomain.
  2. Start the WebLogic Server application server for this domain.
    UNIX
    Run the command:
    BEA_HOME/user_projects/domains/cfsdomain/startWebLogic.sh
    Windows
    Run the command:
    BEA_HOME\user_projects\domains\cfsdomain/startWebLogic.cmd
  3. Use the WebLogic Server Administration Console to deploy Federation Administration application:
    1. From the WebLogic Server Console, expand cfsdomain and click Deployments.
    2. On the Summary of Deployments panel, click Lock & Edit, then click Install.
    3. On the Locate deployment to install and prepare for deployment panel, navigate to cfs_install_path and select fed_admin_wl.war and click Next.
    4. On the Choose targeting style panel, select the Install this deployment as an application option (default) and click Next.
    5. On the Optional Settings panel, accept the defaults, and click Finish.
    6. On the Summary of Deployments panel, make sure that the messages indicate that deployment is successful and that the state of fed_admin_wl is Active.
