Identify and resolve object indexing failures to ensure that the text for the expected objects is indexed.
Object indexing failures belong to one of the following types:
Document-related failure | A failure to index object text because of the nature of the text. For example, a content element document for an object might not get indexed because the document is password protected. For these types of failures, Content Platform Engine does not automatically retry the index request. |
---|---|
System-related failure | A failure to index object text because of the current system environment. For example, an index request might fail because no IBM® Content Search Services server is currently available to process the request. For these types of failures, Content Platform Engine periodically retries the request until the request succeeds (or until you delete the request). The expectation is that you can eventually correct the system environment problems so that the retried requests succeed. |
