A compound document is a collection of files that are used together
to form a single complete document.
A compound document consists of the following objects:
- A parent document component. This parent document is not required
to contain content.
- A child document component that is linked to a parent document
component by a component relationship object. Any child document component
can be the parent document component of another compound document
structure.
- A component relationship object that links a parent document component
with its child document components. You can search for component relationship
objects by using the administration console.
Component relationship objects
Component
relationship objects are objects that link parent document components
with child document components. Parent documents reference their child
documents through these links. You can use the administration console
to search for component relationship objects.
