PastException the step contains an error and has been either resolved or ignored by the user. This is sometimes referred to as a PastException.

A PastException is a Tracker concept that shows that an exception occurred at a particular step, but the user has either resolved the problem (such as assigning the work to another user), or an administrative user has ignored the problem and forced the work to the next step so that the workflow can continue. This information is retrieved from the log, not the information stack. The information stack shows only the current exception state of a work object, if any.

Remember: If a custom log has been defined for the step type, be sure to check that log.
