OLAP is a database technology that is optimized for querying and reporting, enabling fast analysis of multidimensional data. Case Analyzer and OLAP can be used with IBM® Cognos® Business Intelligence reports or Microsoft Excel charts for report generation. Cognos Business Intelligence provides web-based analytic and reporting capabilities, while Microsoft Excel provides a client-based analytic and reporting solution. End of change

Start of changeThe preconfigured reports and charts in Case Analyzer can help you analyze historical data for the following areas:
Case
Measures the number of cases and the average time to complete cases during a specified time period.
Task
Measures the number of tasks and the average time to complete tasks during a specified time period.
Workload
Measures the number of workflows in the system and the average time to complete workflows during a specified time period.
Queue
Measures the number of work items in each queue, and the number of work items completed during a specified time period.
Step
Measures work items at various steps, such as the average time spent to complete work at a step, and the percentage of work items taking each route from a step.
User
Provides data about each user, such as the average time to complete work during a specified time period.
