Preventing unnecessary CPU usage on the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) repository server for Content Platform Engine

Because Content Platform Engine uses the Oracle WebLogic Server Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) configuration for authentication but not authorization, consider changing the WebLogic Group Membership Searching setting from its default value of Unlimited to Limited.

Changing this setting prevents Oracle WebLogic Server from performing unnecessary group membership searches that can cause high CPU usage on the LDAP repository server.
  1. Logon to the WebLogic Administrative Console.
  2. Select Security Realms.
  3. Select myrealm.
  4. elect Providers.
  5. Select the Provider_Name.
  6. Identify any provider specifics.
  7. Click Lock and then click Edit.
  8. Change the “Group Membership Searching” Value to Limited.
  9. Click Activate Changes.
Verify the companion parameter Group Membership Search Level is set to its default: 0.
