The administration console identifies the status of individual
content cache areas. Each content cache area can be open or closed.
Procedure
To view the status of a content cache area:
- Access the content cache area properties in the administration
console:
- In the domain navigation pane, open the folder .
- Select the content cache and click the Properties tab.
- View status in the Cache Status field.
- Open: the cache area is currently available for use within the
site.
- Closed: the cache area is currently unavailable for use within
the site. A cache area in this state will not accept requests for
content population or retrieval, and will not start any background
operations such as pruning.
- Clearing: the cache area is currently clearing all content elements
from the cache. No requests for content population or retrieval will be accepted
for this cache area until the clearing operation completes.
