Processing the Case Analyzer cubes

Use this option to manually start the process to update the OLAP cubes with the latest information stored in the fact tables.

Cube processing, pruning events, and pruning an isolated region require exclusive use of the Case Analyzer store, and can degrade Case Analyzer performance. Schedule these actions to run during off-hours.

You must run the Process Cubes action after the following operations:
  • Pruning an isolated region
  • Editing user-defined fields
  • Deleting user-defined fields
Important: Do not use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to process the cubes outside of Case Analyzer control. Doing so results in inaccurate historical statistics.

To process the cubes:

  1. Select the Case Analyzer folder.
  2. From the Action menu, select Process Cubes.
  3. Click Yes to start.

Process Task Manager processes the cubes in the background, and displays a message in the Message pane when the action is complete.
