A workflow subscription starts a workflow in response to
an event triggered on a specific object instance, or on a class in
the Content Platform Engine. You can
deploy workflow subscriptions as you would other objects that are
stored in Content Platform Engine.
However, you must update the workflow definition information that
is associated with the subscriptions before the workflow subscriptions
are functional in the destination environment:
Ensure that the workflow definition that you want to use for
this subscription has been transferred. This workflow definition might
have been imported from the source environment, or it might be an
existing workflow definition on the destination environment. For more
information about transferring workflow definitions, see
About
transfer.
Tip: If the subscription and workflow definition
document are imported at the same time, and you select the Transfer
workflows after import option, FileNet® Deployment Manager automatically transfers
the workflow definitions and updates the subscription information.
If you select that option, the steps in this task are not required.
To update workflow subscriptions:
For each imported workflow subscription, select the appropriate
version of a transferred workflow definition: - In the administration console, in the domain navigation
pane, click the object store.
- In the object store navigation pane, navigate to the folder and open the workflow subscription that you
want to update.
- On the Workflow tab, select the Workflow
definition and Version to use for
this subscription.
