Indexing fails because no index areas are available

No index areas are available to receive new index information.

Symptoms

When a document is indexed, the following error appears in the IBM® Content Search Services error log:
FNRCB0009E: CBR_NO_INDEX_AREA_AVAILABLE: No index area is available to handle full text index request on object store

Causes

If one or more of the index areas have a resource status of FULL, the configured index area capacity might be set too low. For information about determining the current status of index areas, see Setting resource statuses: Index areas.

Resolving the problem

Increase the configured index area capacity. When setting the capacity, take into account the index partitions for the object store (if any).
