You can export all components in the isolated region, or
you can export specific queues, rosters, event logs, and application
spaces.
To copy the configuration setting from one isolated region
to another, you can export the isolated region settings and, optionally,
the workflow system properties and
user information to an XML file, and import them to a different isolated
region. The exported file contains region-wide properties, such as
specified web applications, step processor settings, event logging
options, and all queue, roster, and log definitions including exposed
fields and index settings.
You can also use this functionality
to back up and restore the isolated region settings.
To export isolated region properties:
- In Process Configuration Console, select
the connection point that references the isolated region to export.
- From the Action menu, select Export
to XML.
- In the Export window, click Browse and
specify a file name and location on your local drive or network for
the exported data.
Tip: Use
the XML file extension for the file name.
- Optional: Select one or both of the following
options:
- The Include System Properties option,
which includes workflow system settings, such as runtime options,
enabling rules functionality, and so on.
- The Include User Information option,
which includes user information such as user preferences (out of office,
email notification), and Process Designer preferences.
Important: If the region contains a large number
of user names, including the user information can result in a large
exported file and can take substantial time to import .
- Choose one of the following options to specify which components
to export:
Option |
Description |
To export all the configuration information for queues,
rosters, event logs, and application spaces. |
Select the Export all components option. |
To select the items to export. |
Select the Export selected components option
and click Next to select the items to export. |
Tip: The exported file contains only configuration
settings. To copy transferred workflow definitions from one isolated
region to another, you must manually transfer each workflow definition
by using Process Designer.
- On the Select
Export Components page, select the components to export.
For each component, you can select all items or open the folder to
select individual items. Click Next.
- On the Summary page,
confirm that the export contains the components you want, and then
click Finish to complete the export.
