Mapping Content Platform Engine properties to Content Manager OnDemand application group fields

Map the application group fields to Content Platform Engine properties so that you can federate the metadata to Content Platform Engine.

About this task

A Content Platform Engine property can be mapped to only one application group field.
Important: If a Content Platform Engine document class has properties that are mapped to Content Manager OnDemand application group fields, you cannot perform copy and paste operations on the document class.

Procedure

To map Content Platform Engine properties to Content Manager OnDemand application group fields:

  1. In the domain navigation pane of the Content Platform Engine administration console, click Object Stores and select the object store.
  2. Click the Replication Class Mappings tab and click New.
  3. In the External Repository list, select the Content Manager OnDemand fixed content device that you created.
  4. In the Document Class list, select one of the application groups that are enabled for content federation.
  5. In the Content Platform Engine document class list, select a custom document class that you created.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Map the application group fields to the Content Platform Engine properties.
    1. Select an application group field from the External Repository Available Properties list and select a matching Content Platform Engine property from the Available Properties list.
    2. Click Add.
    For example, create the following mappings:
