After you create a new Content Engine Web Service (CEWS) Eclipse
project, you add the required JAR files and set the compiler compliance
level.
Starting Eclipse
On your system, start the Eclipse IDE application.
In the Eclipse Workspace Launcher window,
enter a workspace name. For example, C:\workspace or /opt/workplace.
Click OK.
If the Welcome pane opens, close
the pane.
Creating a Project
In the Eclipse menu bar, click File > New > Java Project.
In the New Java Project dialog box,
enter the project name in the Project name field. For example, P8ApiSample.
Click Finish.
Adding Required JAR files
In Eclipse, if the Project Explorer pane
is not already open, click the Show View icon
in the lower left corner of Eclipse, then click Project
Explorer.
In the Project Explorer pane, right-click
your project name, then click Properties.
In the Properties dialog box, click
the Java Build Path node in the left pane tree
view.
In the Java Build Path pane of the Properties dialog
box, click the Libraries tab.
Click Add External JARs.
In the JAR Selection dialog box,
browse to the folder location that contains the following JAR files: Jace.jar, log4j.jar, stax-api.jar, xlxpScanner.jar, xlxpScannerUtils.jar,
and p8cel10n.jar
Select these JAR files and click Open.
After you add all of the JAR files, click OK.
Setting Compiler Compliance Level
The Java compiler that
you use for your project must be compliant with the version used for
the Content Engine Java API.
In the Properties dialog box, click
the Java Compiler node in the left pane tree
view.
In the Java Compiler section of
the Properties window, select the Enable project specific settings check box.
Select the Use default compliance settings check
box.
Select 1.6 from the Compiler
compliance level list.
Click OK.
If the Compiler Settings Changed dialog
box opens, click Yes.
