Compressing IBM DB2 database tables and indexes

In general, DB2 row and index compression reduces the amount of disk space that is required by database tables and indexes by identifying repetitive data.

Enabling row compression on large Content Platform Engine database tables or any indexes that support compression can provide improved application response times as well as reduced database system resources.

Consider enabling compression on such database tables as DocVersion, Generic, SecurityDesc and other tables that can grow very large.
