IBM FileNet P8, Version 5.2.1

Integration (FileNet Web Services Client or Open Client only)

In the Integration folder, you can start, stop, and configure the integration layer between Process and IDM COM foundation objects. You must complete this configuration to enable automatic launching of workflows (again, on FileNet Web Services Client or Open Client systems only).

If a user attempts to link a document or document class to a workflow definition without first logging on to Process Engine, the information you specify here is used to establish a connection between the Process Router and Process Engine. If a user has already logged on to a Process Engine, the user's current connection information (username, password, and Process Router information) is used instead.

To configure integration:
  1. Double-click the entry in the Integration folder to configure it. The current or default information automatically displays. You can keep this information or change it as needed.
    Property What It Does
Port The RMI registry port to be used. The default port is 32771. The port does not need to match the port that is used for the Process Router.
Router Host The name of the server on which the Process Router is running. The default is localhost.
Router Name The name assigned to the Process Router to be used when linking a document or document class to a workflow definition.
Router Port The port used by the Process Router specified in Router name.
Debug Level The level of debugging information to be provided. The debug level is normally set to 0. Turn debugging on only at the request of your FileNet support representative.

Each debug level provides progressively more debugging information. Your FileNet support representative will provide you with the appropriate value.

Debug File The name and path of the file containing the debug output.
Automatically restarted Whether the process automatically restarts if an error occurs that causes the process to stop.
To start, stop, or delete the integration process:
  1. Select the item in the folder, and click Start, Stop, or Delete on the toolbar.
