IBM FileNet P8, Version 5.2.1

Document updates are not propagated to the target repository

Property updates for source documents are not federated to the target Content Platform Engine repository when a rule is rerun.

Symptoms

When document properties are updated in the source repository and you rerun a federation rule, the changes are not federated to the target Content Platform Engine object store.

Causes

The Revision Date property that the exporter is configured to use for sweeping is not being updated on the source document as part of a property update.

Resolving the problem

Verify that the system clocks are synchronized on the IBM® FileNet® Content Federation Services for Content Integrator server, the database server, and the source repository server.

Verify that the property that is designated as the Revision Date property is being updated in the source repository when the source document is updated. The default Revision Date property for each supported source repository type is set to a system property that is automatically updated by the source repository; however, the Federation Administration application allows this property to be modified. The IBM FileNet Content Federation Services for Content Integrator administrator must verify that the referenced property is updated by the application whenever a document in the source repository is updated. For more information about the Revision Date property, see Configuring chunking and sweeping.
