Disabling IPv6 addressing (Windows 2008)

You must disable IPv6 addressing on your Windows 2008 server to minimize interference to publishing on Rendition Engine.

Important: Back up the Windows registry before you make the following changes.

To disable IPv6 addressing:

  1. On the Rendition Engine server, click Start > Run.
  2. Type regedit and click OK to start the Registry Editor.
  3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters.
  4. Create the DisabledComponents DWORD (32-bit) registry key if it does not exist.
  5. Edit the value of DisabledComponents to read 0xFFFFFFFF.
  6. Close the Registry Editor and restart the Rendition Engine server.
