Links between documents and workflow definitions (eProcess)
Use the Linker feature to create a relationship between
a document class or individual document in a Content Services library and one or more
workflow definitions designed to process that type of document. A
link enables either manual or automatic launch of a workflow from
the individual document or a document belonging to the linked class.
For automatic launch, in the link definition you specify the launch
trigger (for example, when a document is added or checked), and other
options that specify conditions for automatic launch.
eProcess logon issues with Content Services (eProcess)
The linking process requires access to both the Content Services library where the documents
and workflow definitions are stored and Process Engine. To create, edit, or delete
a link between a workflow definition and a document or document class,
you must log on as a member of the Administrator group on the Content Services library.
Managing document class links (eProcess)
Create, edit, or delete links from a document class to
a workflow definition to ensure consistent processing of all documents
belonging to the class.
Updates to workflow definitions (eProcess)
Links between a workflow definition and documents or document
classes are specific to the workflow definition version. If an author
checks in a new version of an existing workflow definition, use the
new version by creating new links between the document classes or
documents and the new version of the workflow definition.
Launching a workflow (eProcess)
Use the procedures on this page to manually start the process
specified in a workflow definition. You can launch the workflow either
from a document linked to that workflow definition, or launch the
workflow directly from the workflow definition file.
Process Services Administrator (eProcess)
Process Services Administrator is an MMC snap-in application
you can use to configure and administer workflow system components
on Windows platforms. When you start a component from Process Services
Administrator, you spawn a process that runs in a service context
and thus does not terminate when you log off and log back on as a
different user.
