You can start and stop Process Simulator by using graphical user
interface (GUI) or command line instructions.
About this task
Process Simulator consists
of applications that are added to Workplace or Workplace XT, and
workflow-related processes. The Workplace and Workplace XT applications
automatically become available when the associated Application Engine
or Workplace XT software is started.
Procedure
Tip: You can configure various options for
automatic startup. In order to provide you with all of the steps required
to start this component, the following procedure assumes that no automatic
startup options have been configured. Click

for a step. Where automatic startup is configured, the related step
becomes unnecessary.
Follow the instructions for the appropriate action:

- Start the Process Simulator Services Manager service:
 - GUI
- Use the Windows Services console to start the Process
Simulator Services Manager service. This automatically
starts any workflow-related features that you have enabled for automatic
startup.
- Command line
- This step assumes that Process Simulator has
been enabled for automatic startup.
net start "VWServicesPS"
- Start Process Simulator:
 - If it is not already open, open Process Task Manager.
- Select Process Simulator in the feature
pane and click Start on the toolbar.

Simulator Services Manager service.
