When you register a web service in a UDDI registry, you
associate it with a business entity name. In addition to the required
name, you can supply additional information about the business including
descriptions in multiple languages, contact information with names
and descriptions, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.
Using Process Configuration Console, you can manage this
information and publish it to an external UDDI registry. Similarly,
when you enable a UDDI repository in the isolated region, you can
define a business entity and contact information.
To access
and manage this extended information about the business, click Advanced on
the Publish workflow/Browse UDDI tab, or the Region
Business Entity window.
When you are finished entering
description and contact information, do one of the following actions
to save the information:
- For a region business entity (region UDDI repository), commit
the changes to the isolated region.
- For an external UDDI registry, publish the changes to the registry.
To add a description to the business entity information:
- You can enter a multi-line description for a business entity.
The line breaks is not preserved when the information is published
to the UDDI registry because line breaks are not supported in the standard.
- Select a language for the description.
- To enter a description in another language, click Add and
enter another description. Select the appropriate language.
The
UDDI registry will display the appropriate description in the language
specified by the locale of the client computer. Some UDDI browser
applications display the default (first) entry only. Use the Up and Down arrows
to specify the order of the description entries.
Important: You can have one description per language.
To enter contact information:
- If a contact name and type have not already been entered, enter
the name of the contact and enter the job title or other short description
of the contact.
- You can enter additional descriptive text. To enter a longer description,
click Edit and enter the text in the Edit
Description window.
- Select the language for the description. You can optionally enter
descriptions of the contact in other languages.
- Follow the same steps to enter one or more addresses, phone numbers,
and email addresses for the contact.
