IBM® Content Manager MODCA files are a composite of two entities, an MDA file that represents the content and an FRM file that defines how the content is displayed. The FRM file is stored as an ICMFORMS item type in the IBM Content Manager repository. The ICMFORMS item class contains a single attribute called ICMFORMNAME.
To federate MODCA files, both the MDA and FRM files must be federated. The federation of the MDA file is identical to the federation of any normal document. To federate the FRM file, you must define a separate rule to map the ICMFORMNAME attribute to the Document Title property in FileNet® P8. Typically, not many forms are in the IBM Content Manager source repository and you can use just one rule to federate all the forms into FileNet P8. Do not change the value of Document Title for the federated form files. If the Document Title is changed, FileNet P8 cannot correctly locate the form files and the MODCA files are not displayed correctly.
