FileNet P8 Content Federation Services, Version 5.2.1   Database:  Oracle

Creating an Oracle table space and user account

In an Oracle environment, the database administrator creates the database, table space, and user account.

Procedure

To create a database, table space, and user account for content federation:

  1. Create a table space by using Oracle tools and configure the following settings:
    1. Assign an initial minimum size of 50 MB to the permanent table space and 100 MB to the temporary table space.
    2. For performance reasons, specify locally managed table spaces instead of dictionary managed table spaces. The table spaces that you create by using Oracle Enterprise Manager are locally managed by default.
  2. Create a database user account (referred to as cfs_db_user) and grant the following roles:
    • CONNECT
    • RESOURCE
