You can assign a work item from a work queue or reassign
a work item to another participant when necessary.
You can do the following actions:
- Assign a work item from a work queue to one or more users or workflow
groups, or to another work queue.
- Reassign a work item from one or more participants to other participants.
- Return a work item to the work queue or participant from which
it came.
To assign or reassign work:
- Click Assign/Reassign Work on the
toolbar.
- Select a step from the list of Steps.
Process Tracker lists steps which have active work items
only. In addition, Process Tracker does not display steps associated
with queues to which you are denied access.
- In the From list, select the participant
or work queue to whom the work item is currently assigned.
- In the To list, select the participant
to whom you want to assign the work item.
Important: For systems using Active Directory, if a base group
has been set above Users and Groups, members of that group are available
for selection in the user and group lists. These users should not
be used as workflow participants.
- You can optionally enter comments.
- If the work item is currently assigned to a participant,
you can optionally specify if you want the work returned to the currently
assigned participant for approval before it progresses to the next
step in the workflow. If the work item is in a work queue, this option
is not available.
- Click OK or Apply.
