Identifying system-related failures

Monitor index requests to identify indexing failures that have occurred for system-related reasons.

Procedure

To view index requests with system-related indexing failures:

  1. Listing index requests.
  2. Click Options. The Indexing Queue Options window is displayed.
  3. In the Indexing Queue Options window for the Index area field, select an index area.
  4. For the Retry count field, select One or more.
  5. Click OK. The Indexing Queue Options window is no longer displayed, and the display of index requests in the Indexing Queue tab is updated in accordance with your chosen options.
  6. See the Last Failure Reason column for a description of the last indexing failure.
