Before you begin preparing data for deployment, perform
the tasks in the sub topics to prepare the source environment.
Identify objects to deploy
Before you begin the migration and deployment steps, review
application artifact and asset information that is created during
the planning phase.
Creating or updating an export manifest
The export manifest lists the assets that you want to export
from the object store or a workflow system of a source environment.
After you create an export manifest, you can add assets to it and
specify which referenced objects to include with each asset by specifying
the include options of the asset. You can also refresh an export manifest
to remove assets that were deleted or update assets names that were changed
since the manifest was first created.
Extracting the source environment half maps
After you create a deployment data set, you can extract data for the source environment
half maps from that deployment data set. Alternatively, you can retrieve the data directly from the
environment.
