Use the Case Analyzer tab to identify the production and simulation Case Analyzer systems to be used by Process Simulator.
When you create a scenario for a simulation, you have the option to import production data to define arrival schedules for each workflow. Process Simulator imports this information from the production Case Analyzer. When you run a simulation with publishing enabled, Process Simulator publishes the simulation events to the simulation Case Analyzer system for analysis using Case Analyzer reports.
The Case Analyzer tab includes these fields for both the production and simulation Case Analyzer servers:
Name | Description |
---|---|
Database Host | The host name of the server containing a remote database or
named instance used by the Case Analyzer Engine. The default for the
simulation Case Analyzer is localhost. Important: Java™
Remote Method Invocation (RMI) requests to a server with an underscore
(_) in the DNS name fail due to a limitation in Java Runtime environment
(JRE) 1.4 and greater. If your server has a name containing an underscore,
you must use the IP address or localhost if
appropriate.
|
Database Port | The port used by the server specified in the Database Host field. The default is 1433. |
Database Name | The name of the Case Analyzer database. |
Database Schema Name | The name of the database schema in the database specified in the Database name field. The schema name serves as a qualified name for the Case Analyzer database tables and indexes. |
Database User Name | The user name used to connect to the Case Analyzer database. |
Database Password | The password for the database user name. |
