The Content Platform Engine server is unable to retrieve content data from the content directory during full-text indexing

During full-text indexing, the Content Platform Engine server is unable to obtain content data from the content directory for processing.

Symptoms

The Content Platform Engine server is unable to obtain the content data from the content directory to process for a full-text index and the following error occurs: CONTENT_FCA_FILE_DOES_NOT_EXIST.

Causes

In some environments, full-text indexing performance is faster than content migration (renaming) from the inbound directory to the content directory.

Resolving the problem

When this exception occurs for a particular document, the Content Platform Engine server will attempt to retrieve the content data later. To avoid this exception, set the CBR dispatch interval to a larger value (the default is 180 seconds). Doing so will cause a longer delay in the CBR dispatcher, which will allow the content migration to catch up to the full-text indexing operation and therefore avoid the error.
