Uninstalling or disabling Case Analyzer Engine

You must either uninstall or disable the existing Case Analyzer Engine before you can upgrade Case Analyzer.

For software requirements for the Case Analyzer components and other tools such as Microsoft Excel, see the system requirements technical support document that is appropriate for your configuration. See the IBM® FileNet® P8 system requirements or the IBM Content Foundation system requirements.

To uninstall or disable the Case Analyzer Engine:

  1. Uninstall Case Analyzer Engine.
    1. On the Case Analyzer Engine server, go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
    2. Select FileNet Case Analyzer Engine from the list of installed programs and click Change/Remove.
    3. Click Yes to confirm you want to remove the existing Case Analyzer Engine.
    4. Click OK when the Uninstallation program is finished.
    5. Close the Add/Remove Programs snap-in.
    6. Close the Control Panel.
  2. Disable Case Analyzer Engine:
    1. Stop the Case Analyzer Services Manager.
    2. Access the properties for the Case Analyzer server in the administration console.
    3. In the Status field, select Disabled.
    4. Save your changes.
