Web Services - schema definition

  1. Select one of the following options to specify the schema definition.
    • Select Specify Value, and then type in the schema in the edit box.
    • Select Use Server File to reference a schema file that is stored on a workflow system:
      1. Enter the file name in the edit box. The file must meet the following requirements:
        • Start of changeThe file must be stored in the XSL_XSD_base_directory/xsd directory (or a subdirectory), where XSL_XSD_base_directory is determined by the workflow system XSL /XSD base directory property. This property is configured on the Workflow System > General tab in the administration console.End of change
        • The file must be in .xsd format.
        • The maximum length of the schema file is 2000 characters.
        • (UNIX only) Files in the xsd and the xsl subdirectories must have permissions that allow access for the user; otherwise, schema files cannot be loaded in Process Designer.
      2. Click Load to display the specified file. (The schema is read-only.)
      Tip: To modify the schema that is retrieved from a file on the server, select the text and copy it to the clipboard. Enter a new schema name, click Modify to add the definition, and then click Specify Value and paste the text into the text box. Modifying the schema in this manner does not change the originally referenced schema file on the workflow system server.
  2. Click the Validate icon to validate the schema.
  3. Click OK to save the changes.
