Specifying a substitute for an out-of-office user

You can select someone to act as a substitute for an out-of-office user. The substitute receives the work that is normally routed to the user.

About this task

Restriction: The out-of-office settings for a user do not apply retroactively to already assigned work. For information about reassigning existing work items, see Assigning work items.

Procedure

To change the out-of-office settings for a user:

  1. Accessing the workflow system configuration.
  2. Click the Workflow System node.
  3. On the Workflow System tab, click Actions > Out of Office.
  4. In the Set an out-of-office substitute window, configure the settings for the user.
  5. Click OK.
