Changing the state of a task

A task is typically managed by a client application such as IBM® Case Manager. If necessary, you can use the administration console or Content Engine APIs to promote or demote a task.

Procedure

To change the state of a task:

  1. Access the document task in the administration console:
    1. In the domain navigation pane, click the object store that contains the document.
    2. In the object store navigation pane, click Browse and click the folder that contains the document.
    3. In the details pane, click the document.
    4. On the Tasks tab, select the task.
  2. Click Promote or Demote to change the state of the selected task. See Task State Machine for more information about task states.
