Reviewing database information for Case Analyzer

Review database information that applies to Case Analyzer.

Case Analyzer uses the following two databases.

Case Analyzer store

Start of changeThis database is used to store the case and task data that is gathered from audit logs and the workflow data that is gathered from event logs. The Case Analyzer store is required to be on the Microsoft SQL Server database if Case Analyzer integrates with online analytical processing (OLAP) technology.
Tip: In earlier releases, this database was also called the Case Analyzer database.

Case Analyzer OLAP database

Start of changeThis database is used when Case Analyzer integrates with OLAP technology. This database and the Case Analyzer store must use the Microsoft SQL Server database.
Tip: This database is also commonly called the OLAP database.

The Case Analyzer database files can grow large over time. Ensure that the database is configured to allow for this growth.

As a best practice, put the Case Analyzer tables and the Content Platform Engine tables in separate databases to better enable backup and recovery of data.
