Identifying index job failures

Identify index job failures by viewing the Last Failure Reason property of completed index jobs.

Procedure

To view the failure reason for completed index jobs

  1. Listing index jobs.
  2. In the index jobs list, click the link for the index job. The tabs for the index job are displayed.
  3. Click the General tab.
  4. On the General tab, look at the indexing failure, if any, as indicated by the Last Failure Reason property.
