Modifying the RMI JVM heap size

Consider modifying the RMI JVM heap size if you are federating many documents.

Before you begin

On the host server where the RMI proxy server is running, stop all instances of the RMI proxy server.

Procedure

To modify the RMI JVM heap size:

  1. Open the installed RMI proxy server startup script (RMIBridge.bat or RMIBridge.sh) in a text editor. On Windows, the script is located in C:\Program Files\ContentIntegrator\bin. If you run more than one RMI proxy server, you must change all the RMI startup scripts that have been created.
  2. By default, the JVM heap size is set to -ms256m -mx256m. Reduce this value to a smaller size, such as -mx192m -ms192m.
  3. Save the changes and run the script to restart the RMI proxy server.
