Advanced storage area counters

These counters measure the activities for the advanced storage area counters.

Advanced storage area counters

Dashboard path: HostName > IBM FileNet Content Platform Engine > USER > ObjectStoreName > Advanced Storage
Subcontainer Type Counter name and definition
StorageAreaName Event Retrieval Hit - Counts the number of times content items are retrieved from an advanced storage area.
Event Retrieval Miss (not yet replicated) - Counts the number of times content retrieval from a replica fails to locate the content. The failure is due to the content not replicated to an asynchronous replica.
Event Retrieval Content Not Found - Counts the number of times content retrieval fails to locate a content element in any replica of the advanced storage area.
Event Retrieval Content Failed Validation - Counts the number of times content validation fails, due to either an invalid content size or an invalid content signature.
Event Retrieval replica ignored (unreachable) - Counts the number of times a replica is ignored due to being in an unreachable state.
Event Content referenced by de-duplication - Counts the number of times that existing content is referenced by newly ingested content for content de-duplication.
Event Content de-referenced by de-duplication - Counts the number of times that existing de-duplicated content is de-referenced due to the deletion of content.
Event De-duplicated content cleaned - Counts the number of times content that was uploaded but not needed due to de-duplication is deleted from the system.
Event De-duplicated content clean failures - Counts the number of times that the content that was uploaded, but not needed due to de-duplication, fails to be deleted from the system.
Event Replica repair queue entries inserted - Counts the number of replica content repair entries that are inserted into the content replication queue. The repair entries are inserted when missing or invalid content is detected, and when the content integrity options indicate that the content should automatically be repaired.
Event Replica reapair duplicate queue entries - Counts the number of times the insertion of a replica repair entry detects a preexisting entry and does not perform the insert.
Event Validation After Upload - Counts the number of times that content is validated after it is uploaded.
Event Validation After Upload Failures - Counts the number of times that the validation of content after an upload encounters a failure.
Connectivity Task Event Connectivity Task Iterations - Counts the number of processing iterations that are performed by the advanced storage background connectivity task.
Duration Connector Cache Refresh - Records the time that is spent by the connectivity task that refreshes the storage device connection cache.
Event Replicas Tested - Counts the number of times replicas are tested for connectivity by the connectivity task.
Event Replicas Failed Direct - Counts the number of times that the replicas fail the connectivity test by using direct access to the replica (direct access from the local Content Platform Engine server).
Event Replicas Failed Remote - Counts the number of times that the replicas fail the connectivity test by using remote access to the replica (direct access from the local Content Platform Engine server).
Event Replicas Timed Out - Counts the number of times the connectivity test fails due to taking longer than the timeout period to respond (replica is assumed to be in a non-responsive state).
Duration StorageClass Counter Updates - Records the time that is spent by the connectivity task that updates the persisted advanced storage area statistical counters.
Content Backout Queue Sweep Event Content Items Backed Out - Counts the number of abandoned, unreferenced, content items that are deleted from the system.
Event Content Item Backout Failures - Counts the number of failures that occur when you attempt to delete abandoned content from the system.
Event Area Element Rows Selected - Counts the number of rows that are selected from the area element tables by the backout sweep to determine whether the content is abandoned.
Duration Area Element Select Statments - Records the time that is spent selecting rows from the area element tables while the system determines whether content is abandoned.
Content Deletion Queue Sweep Event Area Element Rows Deleted - Counts the number of rows that are deleted from the area element tables. The rows are deleted by the deletion queue sweep when the related content is deleted.
Duration Area Element Deletion Statments - Records the time spent deleting rows from the area element tables by the deletion queue sweep.
Event Content Items Deleted - Counts the number of content items that are deleted by the deletion queue sweep.
Event Content Item Deletion Failures - Counts the number of failures that are encountered when you attempt to delete the content items.
Content Replication Queue Sweep Event Content Items Replicated - Counts the number of content items that are asynchronously replicated by the replication queue sweep.
Event Replication Failures - Counts the number of failures that are encountered while you attempt to asynchronously replicate content items.
Event Replicated Content Items Validated - Counts the number of content items that are validated after they are asynchronously replicated (validation is based on the content integrity options).
Event Replication Validation Failures - Counts the number of failures that are encountered while you validate content after asynchronous replication.
Event Area Element Rows Selected - Counts the number of rows that are selected from the are element tables by the replication queue sweep.
Duration Area Element Select Statements - Records the time that is spent selecting rows from the area element tables by the replication queue sweep.

Storage device counters

Dashboard path: HostName > IBM FileNet Content Platform Engine > USER > ObjectStoreName > Storage Devices
Subcontainer Type Counter name and definition
Storage Device Name Meter No Connectivity with Replica via Direct Access - If the value is one, then the meter indicates that the connectivity task determined that the replica is not currently reachable by the local Content Platform Engine server. If the value is zero, then the replica is locally reachable.
Meter No Connectivity with Replica via CPE to CPE Access - If the value is one, then the meter indicates that the connectivity task determined that the replica is not currently reachable using a remote Content Platform Engine server. If the value is zero, then the replica is remotely reachable.
Duration Synchronous Writes - Records the time spent writing content to replicas during synchronous content ingestion.
Duration Asynchronous Writes - Records the time spent writing content to replicas during asynchronous content replication.
Event Write Failures - Counts the number of failures that are encountered while content is written to the replicas.
Event Write Bytes - Counts the number of content bytes that are written to the replicas
Duration Test Connectivity - Records the time spent testing the connectivity to the replicas.
Event Test Connectivity Failures - Counts the number of failures that are encountered while the connectivity to the replicas is tested.
Duration Open Content - Records the time spent opening and determining the size of the content items.
Event Open Content Failures - Counts the number of failures that are encountered while content items open.
Duration Delete Content - Records the time spent deleting content items.
Event Delete Content Failures - Counts the number of failures that are encountered while content items are deleted.
