Creating workflow rosters

A workflow roster is a database structure that stores information about all workflows in an isolated region. Workflow rosters provide the workflow system and workflow administrators with an efficient way to locate specific active workflows.

About this task

You can configure more workflow rosters to ease administrative tasks. For example, in Process Designer you might direct finance-related workflows to one roster and sales-related workflows to another roster. When you direct the workflows to different rosters, the data is distributed and an administration can find work items easily.

Procedure

To create a workflow roster:

  1. Start the New Roster wizard in the administration console:
    1. In the domain navigation pane, select the object store.
    2. In the object store navigation pane, click the Administrative > Workflow System > Isolated Regions folder and click the isolated region that you want to modify.
    3. Right-click the Rosters folder and click New Roster.
  2. Complete the wizard.
