When you start a workflow, the launch page is displayed.
The launch page can include the following information:
- Launch instructions: The instructions specify what you
need to do to launch the workflow, if the workflow author included
this information. For example, it might instruct you to enter a value
in a specific data field or attach a document subsequent participants
will need to see.
- General tab: The Subject field is
a description of the workflow specified by the workflow author; the
subject displays in participants' Inboxes as the subject of each work
item for this workflow. You can optionally modify the subject.
Response options
usually determine how the workflow progresses after you complete the
work (for example, which step executes next). If there are response
options, you are unable to launch a workflow until you select a response.
In
the Comments area, you can optionally enter
comments, as appropriate. A tracker of this workflow can view these
comments in the full version of the Process Tracker application.
See Enter and view comments.
- Attachments, Data fields, Workflow Groups:
If tabs for attachments, data fields, or workflow groups are displayed,
see the instructions for information about how to use these items
to complete the work. See View and specify
attachments, Specify field values,
and Assign users to workflow groups.
Note: The launch page displays attachments, data fields, workflow
groups, and responses only when they are used in the launch step.
