Content Platform Engine content that is created in the FileNet® Image Services file storage area is assigned to the incorrect document
class.
Symptoms
Non-federated Content Platform Engine content that is created in
the FileNet Image Services file storage area is assigned to the incorrect
document class.
Causes
If you create the FileNet Image Services file storage area before you
create the object store, a problem can occur if you create the object store and override the
FileNet Image Services document class to be a class other than the default
class that is defined for the FileNet Image Services fixed device. The result
is that non-federated content that is created in the file storage area is assigned to the default
document class of the fixed content device rather than to the document class that you selected when
the object store was created.
Resolving the problem
To ensure that new content that is created in the
FileNet Image Services
storage area is assigned the correct document class:
- In the object store navigation pane of the Content Platform Engine
administration console, click and open the FileNet Image Services storage area.
- On the Retention tab of the fixed storage area, change the document class
to some other class and click Save.
- Change the document class back to the original value and click Save.
- Clear the cache by restarting all storage services.
