rdbConvertReg

The rdbConvertReg command converts an existing isolated region so that it can be enabled for isolated region recovery. The command operates in two phases: first, it verifies that all the RDB objects for that isolated region are in the correct table space, and secondly, it separates isolated region data located in workflow system tables into separate isolated region level tables.

After you specify the table spaces for the isolated region in the administration console, run rdbConvertReg for the first time. The workflow database items are displayed with the following information:
  1. Table and index names.
  2. Current locations.
  3. Location where the data will be moved.

After you move the data to the new table spaces by using the database tools, run rdbConvertReg a second time to verify that the tables and indexes were moved. After the verification passes, rdbConvertReg automatically processes the workflow system tables as necessary to enable the isolated region backup and recovery.

Syntax

vwtool - Y <Admin user name>+<Admin password>
rdbConvertReg
c = convert
l = list only
e = exit
