When you delete mapped documents from one system, the document properties and annotations are also deleted from the other system.
To delete a mapped document on one system without deleting the corresponding document on the other system, you must stop the document replication before you delete the document. To stop replication of the document, open the document in the Content Platform Engine administration console, click the Properties tab, and delete the value of the Replication Group property.
If a records management application on the Content Platform Engine system locked any Content Federation Services for Image Services documents (that is, declared them as records) on the Image Services system, those documents cannot be deleted by using the Image Services Database Maintenance application, regardless of the assigned date of the documents. Only the records management application on Content Platform Engine can delete locked-documents from Image Services.
If defensible disposition was enabled for the Image Services system, documents that are federated after defensible disposition is enabled can be deleted only by Content Platform Engine.
