Before you can store content on an Image Services server, you must configure
a fixed content device that provides the connection to the Image Services server.
Procedure
To create a connection from FileNet® P8 to the Image Services server:
- Add the NCH server information for your Image Services server to your corporate
DNS or your local hosts file. In this example the
first part of the NCH server alias (isserver1)
corresponds to the IS Domain Name property
on the Image Services server.
The second part of the NCH server alias (filenet)
corresponds to the IS Organization property
on the Image Services server.

The Image Services server name, which is
typically the same as the IS Domain Name,
must not contain the hyphen (-) or underscore (_) characters. For
more information, see the Image Services documentation.
- Specify an Image Services user
account that has write capabilities on the Image Services server. For
more information, see the Image Services documentation.
