Viewing property associations

With association properties, you can create a relationship between classes in an object store. Reflectivity enables an object in an association to identify the other objects in the relationship. Association dependencies establish which objects in the relationship depend on another object.

Procedure

To determine whether a property with data type "Object" has an association with another property:

  1. In the administration console, access the property definition in the class that the property is assigned to.
    1. In the domain navigation pane, click the object store that contains the class.
    2. In the object store navigation pane, click the Data Design > Classes folder and click the class that the property is assigned to.
    3. On the class Property Definitions tab, click the property whose association you want to view.
  2. On the property definition More tab, view the property association.
    • The value in the Reflective Property field indicates the property that has a reflective association with your property.
    • If both the Required Class and the Reflective Property fields have values, there is an association between the class you started from and the class referred to by the Required Class field; the association exists through the selected property and the Reflective property.
Tip: If the More tab doesn't exist, the property does not have an association with another property.
