IBM Support data collection tools automate the gathering and sending of appropriate diagnostic data to IBM Support for investigation and resolution of installation, upgrade, or runtime problems in IBM FileNet P8 products. Typically you would run an IBM Support data collection tool after installing or upgrading the product, or when the IBM FileNet P8 system is in production.
To use an IBM Support data collection tool, your IBM FileNet P8 product must be supported by the tool and must have Internet access to the IBM Support back-end servers where the collected data is analyzed.
