Content Platform Engine, Version 5.2.1       Application server:  WebSphere Application Server, WebLogic Application Server

Configure multiple realms (WebSphere and WebLogic)

You can create multiple authentication realms on your application server. For each authentication realm that you create, you must also create a corresponding directory configuration in Content Platform Engine so that the users and groups in the authentication realm can be authorized.

Procedure

To configure additional realms:

  1. The topic about configuring Content Platform Engine application server authentication (LDAP) settings describes how to use Configuration Manager to configure an initial authentication realm. Repeat that procedure for each additional authentication realm you need to create.
  2. Log in to Administration Console for Content Platform Engine as GCD administrator (gcd_admin). Run the Create Directory Configuration wizard. Enter the same directory service configuration property values that you entered into Configuration Manager in step 1.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each additional directory server naming context that you want to configure as FileNet® P8 realms. See the information on adding an additional task to your profile for information about how to repeat Step 1.
  4. In Administration Console for Content Platform Engine, logged in as an object store administrator (object_store_admin) add the new users and groups to the object stores, document classes, and any other required objects that they must be able to access.
  5. Test the new configuration by logging in to a client application with an account residing in the newly configured realm.
