IBM FileNet P8, Version 5.2.1

Canceling an index job

You can cancel a running index job. All index requests for the index job are deleted. Canceling an index job does not undo any indexing work that the index job completed.

About this task

Restriction: Some index jobs replace an existing full-text index with a new index. Canceling such an index job can affect search performance. The slower search performance remains in effect until you submit another index job that replaces the same full-text index in question. For more information, see Full-text index replacement.

Procedure

To stop one or more index jobs:

  1. Listing index jobs.
  2. In the details pane, select the index jobs.
  3. Click Cancel Jobs.
