You can file one or more documents in multiple folders.
The item is not duplicated in each folder, but instead, each folder
contains a reference to the same item. The document can be edited
from any of the locations.
Procedure
To file a document into a folder:
- In the administration console, access the document object.
- In the domain navigation pane, click the object store
that contains the document.
- In the object store navigation pane, click and select the folder of the document object.
- In the details pane, select the document by clicking
the document link in the Containment Name column.
- Click the document tab.
- In the details pane, click the Folders Filed
In tab.
- Click File to new folder.
- In the navigation pane, right-click the folder in which
you want to file the object.
- Select and click Copy Object Reference.
- Click Paste Object in the File
to folder window. The folder object is pasted in the File
to folder window and the destination folder path name is
shown.
- Click OK to file the object.
