Disabling the social collaboration get count subscription

When Social Collaboration add-ons are installed, performance degradation can occur, especially on content retrieval operations such as check-out, check-in, and document retrieval. Performance degradation occurs because download counts are incremented during check-out and check-in operations.

If you have the Social Collaboration add-ons installed and are experiencing performance degradation, and if your application does not use download counts, you can disable the Social Collaboration Document Get Content Subscription.

Important: Applications that require the Social Collaboration add-ons typically install the add-ons automatically as part of deploying or configuring the application, or the documentation for the application directs you to install the add-ons. Do not install the add-ons unless you are using an application that requires the add-ons.

To disable the subscription:

  1. In the administration console, navigate to Domain Root > Object Stores > Object Store Name > Events, Actions, Processess > Subscriptions > Social Collaboration Document Get Content Subscription.
  2. Open the subscription and click the Properties tab. Scroll to the Is Enabled property and set the property to FALSE.
