Specified version of the key is not available

Troubleshooting advice for specified version of the key is not available

Symptoms

This error occur if the key version number (kvno) of the identity user's latest password on Active Directory is not found in the keytab.

Resolving the problem

To fix, re-run ktpass (see Creating a Kerberos keytab using ktpass) making sure you give the -kvno option, which will disable this JVM check. On Java 7 or later, this can be fixed by re-runing ktab (see Creating a Kerberos keytab entry for the identity user on the Content Platform Engine system) making sure you give the -n 0 option.

You will have to start the application server after making this change.
