To support Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN), Process Designer can save and open files in XPDL 2.0 format. XPDL files can contain more than one workflow definition. In Process Designer, a file with one or more workflow definitions is called a workflow collection. Note that the XPDL 2.0 format is extended to include IBM® FileNet® scenario definitions.
To work on individual workflow definitions, select the workflow from Action menu to specify the Workflow Properties for the current workflow definition.

When you use
options, you are inserting new or existing workflow definitions or scenario definitions into the workflow collection.When you use File Save or options, you are saving the entire workflow collection document.
When you use File Validate or Transfer options, you are validating or transferring all workflow definitions in the collection that are specified to be validated or transferred. (For each workflow definition in the collection, you can use options on the window to specify if an individual workflow definition will be validated or transferred when you select those commands on the File menu for the workflow collection.)
When you use Transfer Workflow, or Launch Workflow, those commands apply to the current workflow definition or scenario definition.
