When you use FileNet® P8 workflow, you might encounter some problems that require troubleshooting. These problems can be installation, configuration, or runtime problems.
Some of the runtime problems involve workflow exceptions. Exceptions occur if a workflow step cannot be properly processed for any reason. For example, a step whose step participant is an empty workflow group causes an exception. The exception occurs when processing reaches that step.
When a workflow exception occurs, the work item is placed in the Conductor queue.
