Configuring web applications

You can define web applications for the workflow system and specify the server base URL for the web applications.

About this task

The system uses the information that you define for the web applications. The information determines the email notification template to use for workflows that are processed in the workflow system and the location of a custom step processor if it is not deployed to the current web application. The system also uses the server base URL to build the URL for the launch and step processors.

Procedure

To configure a web application:

  1. Start the New Web Application wizard in the administration console:
    1. In the domain navigation pane, select the object store.
    2. Do one of the following actions in the object store navigation pane:
      • To register the web application for the workflow system, click Administrative > Workflow System.
      • To register the web application for a specific isolated region, click Administrative > Workflow System > Isolated Regions and the name of the isolated region.
    3. In the details pane, click the Web Applications tab.
    4. Click New.
  2. Complete the wizard.
    Important: To open HTML step processors or allow the custom step processors to be opened from another web application, the ID number you enter must have a corresponding web application ID number in the web application properties.
