You can install Case Analyzer to connect to a single object store or to a legacy workflow system.
The installed Case Analyzer component can process all of the isolated regions in the object store or legacy workflow system.
In a FileNet® P8 system that includes Case Analyzer, there are three types of objects that event data or audit data can be collected from: cases, tasks, and workflows. For a Case Analyzer that integrates with Case Monitor, case or task data is collected from the audit log. For a Case Analyzer that integrates with a legacy workflow system, workflow data is collected from the event log.
The data that is collected is stored in the Case Analyzer store. For systems that also include online analytical processing (OLAP) capability, the data that is stored in the Case Analyzer store is then analyzed with cube processing. The cube processing builds the OLAP cubes that are stored in the Case Analyzer OLAP database.
Data can also be collected from different types of environments, a production environment or a simulation environment. The environment determines the type Case Analyzer store that is required.
