IBM® System Usage Reporter is an administrative tool that monitors the number of users who access FileNet® P8 products and provides both near real-time and historical usage information.
Usage Reporter documentation is intended for FileNet P8 administrators who are authorized to set up, configure, or run the Usage Reporter tool.
The Usage Reporter is installed automatically when you install IBM System Dashboard for Enterprise Content Management. The 5.0 and later releases of Usage Collector and Reporter use Derby for the internal database. Previous releases used the Hyper Structured Query Language Database (HSQLDB). With this change, you must retain the existing version of the Usage Reporter and Collector software to be able to read your existing database. You need to go through the database creation step again with the new software the first time that the Reporter is used. Thereafter, the 5.0 software is functionally identical, but does not read or report data that is collected before the installation of 5.0.
