IBM Enterprise Records, Version 5.1.2

Process regions

If you are installing IBM® Enterprise Records in an environment containing more than one Application Engine, Workplace XT, or IBM Content Navigator server, configure a process region only one time. This configuration applies to the situation where all of them use the same workflow region.

About this task

Configure a process region for IBM Enterprise Records. Complete this task if you are using IBM FileNet® P8 V5.1 or earlier. If you are using IBM FileNet P8V5.2, you must useIBM Enterprise Records Configuration Manager to configure a workflow as part of configuring a process region.
  • To complete this task, sign in to Application Engine, Workplace XT, or IBM Content Navigator as a user that is a member of the Process Engine or Content Platform Engine configuration group. This user needs to be assigned the PWConfiguration access role and the Records Administrator role.
  • For this task, the browser used to access Application Engine, Workplace XT, or IBM Content Navigator must support Java™ applets.

If the browser on your Application Engine, Workplace XT, or IBM Content Navigator server does not support the use of Java applets, copy the ier_install_path/Workflow/configureRMworkflow/RMWorkflowConfiguration.xml file to the server where the browser is started.

  • You import this IBM Enterprise Records workflow configuration file as instructed in the process region topic. This workflow has the following effect:
    • Creates the following component queues:
      • RM_Workflow_Util
      • RM_Operations
    • Creates the following work queues:
      • BasicScheduleWorkflowReviewer
      • PhysicalEntitiesDeliveryQueue
      • PhysicalEntitiesFindLostQueue
      • PhysicalEntitiesKeeperQueue
      • PhysicalEntitiesReserveQueue
      • PhysicalEntitiesWaitQueue
      • RecordsManagerApproval
    • Adds the step processors required to create generic steps in IBM Enterprise Records workflows. The workflow also adds IBM Enterprise Records operations or methods to perform IBM Enterprise Records functions
