Creating an IBM Enterprise Records enabled desktop in IBM Content Navigator

The file plan administration and management interface is presented in an IBM® Enterprise Records enabled desktop.

About this task

By default, when the IBM Enterprise Records administration client plug-in is installed and registered, a desktop named IER is automatically created. This desktop has all the IBM Enterprise Records related settings enabled.

Procedure

  1. Access the administration desktop of IBM Content Navigator.
  2. Refresh the browser if you completed registering the IBM Enterprise Records administration client plug-in.
  3. Open the Desktops section and find the IBM Enterprise Records desktop that was created automatically.
  4. Add File Plan and Content repositories to the IBM Enterprise Records desktop.
  5. Access the IBM Enterprise Records desktop by using the following URL: http://navigator_url/desktop=IER.
  6. Create more IBM Enterprise Records desktops by completing the following substeps:
    1. Access the IBM Enterprise Records administration client plug-in under Plug-ins.
    2. Go to the Desktop tab.
    3. Enter the desktop ID and name to create more desktops.
    4. After you create a desktop, refresh the browser to see the new desktop.
