Configuring globalized object stores

IBM® Enterprise Records supports globalized object stores for the Base data model, the Portuguese DoD data model, and the DoD Classified data model.

About this task

This task describes how to install the globalized IBM Enterprise Records data model into your object stores. Perform the following steps for each object store you want to configure for a specific locale.

Procedure

To install globalization add-ons to your object stores:

  1. Verify that you copied the relevant globalized source files to the Content Engine or the Content Platform Engine server as part of the copying required files topic.
  2. Log on to IBM FileNet® Enterprise Manager as a Global Configuration Data (GCD) Administrator for the object store you want to configure.
  3. From the domain level, right-click AddOns and select New Addon.
  4. Add a name, such as IBM Enterprise Records 5.1.2 Base globalization add-on. This name is just an example. You must use a unique name for each add-on you want to configure for a specific locale.
  5. Click Browse next to the Import File: field, and select the file you want to import:

    ROS CE_install_path/FileNet/ContentEngine/resources/ROS.xml
    FPOS with NARA properties CE_install_path/FileNet/ContentEngine/resources/NARA.xml
    FPOS with Cognos Report Definitions CE_install_path/FileNet/ContentEngine/resources/ReportDefinitions.xml
    ROS with Classified Documents CE_install_path/FileNet/ContentEngine/resources/ClassifiedDocuments.xml
  6. Select Optional for the AddOn type.
  7. Click OK to create the add-on.
  8. Log on to IBM FileNet Enterprise Manager as an object store administrator.
  9. Locate and right-click on your object store. Then select All Tasks > Install AddOn.
  10. Select the add-on that you created and click Install.
