You must create a IBM® Enterprise
Records Object
store configuration for upgrade profile to upgrade object
stores from previous versions of IBM Enterprise
Records. The tasks that are associated
with this profile upgrade object stores from versions 4.5.1 and later.
Other versions are not supported.
About this task
You must complete the following tasks:
- Create Upgrade Add-Ons
- Upgrade File Plan Object Stores
- Upgrade Record-enabled Object Stores
- Transfer Upgraded Workflows
When you run Configuration Manager and upgrade your
IBM Enterprise
Records add-ons, you must have
Records Administrator privileges. You must also have the permissions
of the object store administrator at the time the object store was
created.
Procedure
To create an Object store configuration for
upgrade profile:
- Ensure that your Content Engine or Content Platform Engine server is running.
- If IBM Enterprise
Records Configuration
Manager is not already running, start the IBM Enterprise
Records Configuration Manager.
- Start the Create New Installation Profile wizard
by selecting .
- Complete the wizard screens by using the values in order.
- Select the profile type, Object store upgrade profile.
- You must complete the Create Upgrade Add-ons task
before you upgrade your existing file plan.
- You must complete the Upgrade File Plan Object Store task before
you Transfer Upgraded Workflows.
- If you upgrade a combination record-enabled object store and file
plan object store, complete the Upgrade File Plan Object Stores task
before you upgrade the record-enabled object store.
- In the Set Properties
for Content Engine Connection screen, click Test
Connection. This action tests the connection between Configuration
Manager and the Content Engine or Content Platform Engine server. If
the test fails, make sure that the Content Engine or Content Platform Engine server is running.
Also, make sure that the Content Engine or Content Platform Engine server property values
that you entered match the values that are defined in your Content Engine or Content Platform Engine server.
- In the Administrator user name field,
if you plan to upgrade file plan object stores or to transfer upgraded
workflows, enter a Records Administrator user ID. If you
plan to upgrade record object stores, enter the administrator user
ID of the object store. You can return to this panel to change the
Administrator user before you run each task.
- The profile that you created displays
as an icon in the profile pane along with tasks and icons.
