There is a road map to the information you need for implementing
your IBM® Enterprise
Records solution,
which includes file plan creation, configuration overview information,
and customization information.
- For the mechanics of creating a file plan in IBM Enterprise
Records, see the creating a file
plan topic.
- For a checklist of the mandatory and optional configuration tasks
to set up an IBM Enterprise
Records environment,
see the configuration overview topic.
- For a summary of the ways you can customize IBM Enterprise
Records, see the customizing topic.
- The IBM Enterprise
Records installation
media includes a set of XML files that can be imported into a Base
object store. These files simulate the file plan of a fictitious company.
You can use this sample file plan to familiarize yourself with the
main features of IBM Enterprise
Records.
For more information, see the readme file that accompanies the sample
file plan. (The readme file is located in the Samples\FilePlan\Base folder
on the media.)
- Throughout the product Help, you encounter instructions for using IBM Administration
Console for Content Platform Engine. This powerful tool,
which is used throughout IBM FileNet® P8,
is independent of IBM Enterprise
Records business
logic. Its misuse can cause integrity issues for IBM Enterprise
Records. Specifically, do not
delete any IBM Enterprise
Records objects
without explicit guidance from your service representative.
- For more information, see the on-going maintenance and administration
tasks topic.
