In the Configure Object Store interface you can view which
object stores are configured for use by IBM® Enterprise
Records or have been upgraded from
a previous version of FileNet® Records
Manager.
Procedure
To Configure an Object Store for IBM Enterprise
Records:
- Log in to IBM Enterprise
Records as a Records Administrator for the object store you will configure. If this is the initial log-in after upgrading IBM Enterprise
Records, the application automatically
brings you to the Configure Object Store interface for the initial
configuration tasks. Skip to 5.
- Select the Configure tab.
- Scroll down and click Object Store Configuration .
The Object Store Configuration screen displays all object stores that have already been configured
for use by IBM Enterprise
Records or
have been upgraded from a previous version of FileNet Records
Manager.
- To configure an object store for IBM Enterprise
Records, access object stores
that have not been configured by clicking Configure Object
Store. The Select Object Store screen opens, listing all available object stores that are still
not configured for IBM Enterprise
Records or that have not yet been upgraded from a previous version of FileNet Records
Manager.
Tip: All
object stores that require an upgrade will have the value Yes in the Upgrade Required? column.
- Click the available object store you plan
to configure or upgrade.
- Object stores in this list that are being upgraded are identified
by their type: FPOS or ROS. IBM Enterprise
Records does not automatically identify combined FPOS and ROS
object stores. You will manually indicate whether or not a selected
FPOS object store is also a ROS in next step.
- Depending on the object store type, a number of additional selections
will display. These can be set at a later date. If you plan to set
them later, select No in each list to defer the configuration.
- Configure the FPOS object store.
- From the Is this also a ROS Object Store? list, select Yes or No. Select Yes if the FPOS object
store you are configuring is also a ROS object store.
Restriction: If the FPOS you are configuring is also a ROS,
the option to Include Classified Document Properties will not be available
from the FPOS wizard. You must manually add these properties to the
object store.
- From the Include NARA Properties? list, select Yes or No. Select Yes to add National Archives
and Records Administration (NARA) classes and properties to the object
store
- Click Finish to configure the
object store.
At the successful configuration, a confirmation screen displays.Important: You must set the security for the object store before
you start using it, even if it is an upgraded object store. You can
set the security now, or at a later date.
