Upgrades from FileNet® Records
Manager 4.5
on IBM® FileNet P8 Platform 4.5.1 require
that you upgrade the FileNet Records
Manager 4.5
File Plan Object Stores (FPOS) and the 4.5 Record Object Stores (ROS)
to V5.1.1. Complete this upgrade by using the IBM Enterprise
Records Configuration Manager.
Upgrades from
FileNet Records
Manager 4.5
on
IBM FileNet P8 Platform 4.5.1 do not
require
IBM FileNet P8 Platform level
object store upgrades. However, you must upgrade the
FileNet Records
Manager 4.5 FPOS and ROS object
stores to V5.1.1 by using the Upgrade Object Store Upgrade Profile
of the
IBM Enterprise
Records Configuration
Manager.
- Run the Create Upgrade Add-ons task to create Upgrade Add-ons
for IBM Enterprise
Records.
- Run the Upgrade File Plan Object Stores task to upgrade an FPOS
from V4.5 to V5.1.1.
- Run the Upgrade Record Object Stores task to upgrade a ROS for
V4.5 to V5.1.1.
- Run the Transfer Upgraded Workflows task against an upgraded FPOS
to transfer the upgraded Physical Records Management workflow.
For more information, see the creating the object store upgrade
profile topic.
Remember: For this release, you must upgrade the ROS object
stores to V5.1.1.
If the object store is a combined object store (FPOS and ROS),
run both the Upgrade File Plan Object Stores and Upgrade Record Object
Stores tasks.
If the object store is a combined object store (FPOS and ROS) and
is using Content Based Retrieval (CBR), first disable CBR. Then upgrade
the object stores for IBM Enterprise
Records V5.1.1.
After the upgrade, reenable CBR by following the instructions in the
topic about configuring object stores for CBR.
Attention: Direct upgrades from FileNet Records
Manager 4.0 to IBM Enterprise
Records V5.1.1 and running with IBM FileNet P8 Platform 4.5 are not supported.
You must first upgrade FileNet Records
Manager to
a later release.
