Review of vital records is an ongoing process that occurs with an associated recurring event. The recurring event determines how frequently the vital records are reviewed. Whenever the recurring review event occurs, the vital records review workflow associated with the event is run. Vital records due for review display as work items in the inbox of the reviewer or in the RecordsManagerApproval public inbox. Selecting a work item displays the Approve step.

The Review Step page shows the names of affected entities, the name of the reviewer, and the event that triggered the workflow. The page provides a place to enter review comments and the current review date, which you can change.
To review vital records:
Approve Step
Use the Approve Step page to complete approval of the review of vital records. It shows the reviewer who reviewed the records, and the review event that triggered the running of the workflow. Using the Approve page, the Records Manager can change the review comments entered by the reviewer.
To approve the reviewed vital records:
When a Records Manager approves vital records, the review comments and the next review date for records are updated in the system. The next review of vital records is then scheduled on the specified date.
