Exporting a record folder

When you use IBM® Enterprise Records Transfer to export a record folder, the tool exports the record folder and all of the records within that folder. If the folder contains multiple volumes, IBM Enterprise Records Transfer exports the records within all of those volumes.

About this task

Attention: The Windows executable program for IBM Enterprise Records Transfer is RMTransfer.bat, and the executable program for AIX, HP-UX, Linux, and Solaris is RMTransfer.sh.

Procedure

To export a record folder:

At the command line, enter one of the following commands from the \RMTransfer directory:
RMTransfer -export -folder  folder full path name
RMTransfer -export -folder  {guid}
For example:
RMTransfer.bat -export -folder "/Records Management/File Plan/TransferTestCategory/Electronic_Folder_01"
RMTransfer.bat -export -folder {E88A5496-1F93-4DDA-95FC-6D245554BD05}
