Configuring showing record type metadata during declaration

Use IBM® Administration Console for Content Platform Engine to configure showing the record type metadata when a record is declared using Application Engine or Workplace XT. In addition, after you perform this configuration procedure, you see the record type metadata for a record in the properties page of the record.

About this task

The following procedure assumes that you want to see record types for all record classes. You might want to see record types for only specific record classes.

Procedure

To configure showing record types during declaration:

  1. Log on to IBM Administration Console for Content Platform Engine as Records Administrator.
  2. Access the Record class from the Document class seen under the FPOS object store.
  3. Right-click Record and select Properties to access the properties sheet of the record class.
  4. Select the Property Definitions tab.
  5. A list of properties for the class displays. (For record subclasses, click the Inherited Properties check box to see the properties.)
  6. Scroll down until you find the property named Type (for Base or DoD data models) or Record Type (for PRO), select the property.
  7. Click Edit.
  8. Select the More tab.
  9. Clear the Hidden check box.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click OK again to close the properties sheet of the record class. The Propagate Metadata Changes dialog box displays.
  12. Click the Record Type check box under the Update Property Definitions heading. This setting propagates the record type Property Definitions to all the subclasses.
  13. Click OK.
