Filtering the Entities On Hold view

The Entities On Hold view defaults to sorting the entities by the Document Title. If no entities are shown, click Search.

You can filter the view by entering a value for Document Title and selecting the appropriate operator.

To change the search criteria click Change. For details about changing the search criteria, see the setting the default search criteria topic.

You can perform additional filtering with these options:

Using the Search in field

The Search in field shows the default location for the search. To change the Search in field:

  1. Click Select Folder.
  2. Go to and select the category, subcategory, or folder to which you want to limit the search. The end of the path shows the currently selected folder.
  3. Click Accept.

Using the Filter By Type field

Select Record Categories, Record Folders, Volumes, or Records from the menu.

Using the Filter By Class field

In the Filter by Class field, you can limit returned results to include only the entities in a specific class. For example, if you select the records entity type, you can refine your search by specifying the class type (electronic, email, marker, or another custom class).

To limit returned results:
  1. Click Select Class.
  2. Select the class type from the Select Filter Class page.
  3. Click Select Filter Class to select the class type.
  4. Select the Include subclasses check box if you want to return entities that are in subclasses of the class that you selected.
  5. Click Search.
