Follow these instructions to set the default file plan.
About this task
Default file plan configuration settings are available
for:
- The IBM® Enterprise
Records application:
From the page, the System Administrator
can specify the file plan that acts as the default file plan when
users log on to the IBM Enterprise
Records application.
- Individual IBM Enterprise
Records users:
From the Configure tab of the IBM Enterprise
Records application, specify the
default file plan that displays in the IBM Enterprise
Records application for the logged-on
user. If you need to work with a different file plan than the one
being displayed, use this configuration setting to select a different
file plan. If set, this setting overrides the Site Preferences General
setting.
- Workplace: From the
page, the System Administrator specifies the default
file plan used by Workplace to
determine what file plan information to display when a user performs
records-related tasks. Records-related tasks are tasks like declaring
a record or creating a record entry template that uses this object
store.
If the user preference or the site preference for the IBM Enterprise
Records application does not have
a default file plan set, the system searches for an FPOS. The system
uses the first available file plan in the FPOS as the default.
