Running the configuration XML files for the IBM Enterprise Records web application profile

Running the configuration XML files applies the settings. You use the execute command to apply your configuration settings from the command line.

Before you begin

You need to run the configuration XML files for the IBM® Enterprise Records web application profile.

Procedure

To run the configuration XML files:

  1. Start or stop the application server.
    Option Description
    WebSphere® Application Server Start the application server if the server is not already running.
    JBoss Application Server Stop the application server.
    Oracle WebLogic Server Start the application server if the server is not already running.
  2. Change the current directory to ier_install_path\configure, where ier_install_path is the location where the IBM Enterprise Records software is installed.
  3. Enter the following command to run all the tasks in the IBM Enterprise Records web application profile, which is located in the ier_install_path\configure\profiles\WSWebApplicationDeploymentProfile directory. For example for Windows:
    configmgr_cl.exe execute -profile "ier_install_path
    \configure\profiles\WSWebApplicationDeploymentProfile"
    For AIX, HP-UX, Linux, and Solaris:
    ./configmgr_cl execute -profile "ier_install_path
    /configure/profiles/WSWebApplicationDeploymentProfile"
    where WSWebApplicationDeploymentProfile is for the WebSphere Application Server profile.
    Remember: If the path includes a directory name with spaces, enclose the entire path in quotation marks.
