After installing and configuring IBM® Enterprise
Records, you can install a sample
workflow that declares records by using the RM_Operation component
queue. If you do not have sufficient access rights, you can use this
workflow to declare a document as a record. The workflow routes the
request to the appropriate person for approval. After the workflow
is approved, the document is declared a record.
About this task
- The user who declares the record must have, at a minimum, Modify
Property rights on the document.
- Since the RM_Operation component queue is declaring the record,
the user account running this queue must have adequate rights. Ensure
that the user account has Modify Property rights on the document that
is to be declared a record. See the for the
component queue to determine under which account the queue is running.
- The Process Engine or Content Platform Engine must be running for
Full Workflow capability. For more information:
- By default, the sample workflow populates data for declaring an
electronic record in a DoD-compliant file plan. You can add or delete
property names and values to support other data models (and special
requirements) from the Modify Data Field task
of the workflow.
- In addition to modifying and using this sample workflow to declare
records, you can use it to familiarize yourself with building workflows
for IBM Enterprise
Records.
