Reason for failure
When
you click the red asterisk that indicates failed requests in the
Status page,
a page shows the action. The page also shows the entity on which the
action is performed, and the reason for failure of the action. To
close this page and return to the default file plan, click
Exit.
Restriction: If an entity is on-hold, its parent is on-hold.
If the entity is a container, one of its children is on-hold. When
you try to Initiate Disposition on this entity,
the Initiate Disposition fails. The failure screen shows an on-hold
icon in front of the entity as opposed to an asterisk. You can click
this on-hold icon to view the detailed failure message. This action helps
you determine whether a record is placed on hold at the parent level.
