IBM Enterprise Records, Version 5.1.2

IBM Enterprise Records installation program checklist

You must determine the type of installation you are completing, a custom installation or a typical installation. Also, you must decide where you plan to install the IBM® Enterprise Records tools.

Important: When you are upgrading to IBM Enterprise Records from an earlier version, your installation directory is determined by the release you are coming from.
  • If you use or upgrade from IBM InfoSphere® Enterprise Records V4.5.1 or earlier, then your installation directory is C:\Program Files\FileNet\RM.
  • If you use or upgrade from IBM Enterprise Records V5.1.0 or later, then your installation directory is C:\Program Files\IBM\EnterpriseRecords.
  • If you use or upgrade fromIBM InfoSphere Enterprise Records V4.5.1 or V5.1.0 to V5.1.2, then your installation directory is C:\Program Files\FileNet\RM. You use this path because the 5.1.0 upgrade maintains the original 4.5.1 installation location.
When you are completing a new installation, your installation directory is C:\Program Files\IBM\EnterpriseRecords.
During the installation, you must enter the following information.
