Using IBM® Administration
Console for Content Platform Engine,
you can specify whether to delete the document and retain the record
metadata or to delete both the document and the record metadata.
About this task
If you retain the metadata, you can view it using IBM Administration
Console for Content Platform Engine. It is not visible in IBM Enterprise
Records. This configuration is
done at the file plan level either when creating it or after it is
created.
Procedure
To configure retaining metadata:
- Log on to IBM Administration
Console for Content Platform Engine as
Administrator.
- Select a file plan object store from the Object
Store folder.
- Select the Root folder.
- Select the Records Management folder.
- Right-click the File Plans folder
and select the Properties option. The File
Plan Properties dialog box displays.
- Click the Properties tab.
- In the Property Value column, enter one of the following
values for the Retain Metadata property. By default, the value is
set to 1:
- 1 Specifies that the system deletes both
the record metadata and the declared document.
- 0 Specifies that the system retains metadata
for deleted documents.
Values other than 0 and 1 are reserved for future use.
- Click OK to save the changes and
exit the dialog box.
