IBM Enterprise Records, Version 5.1.2

Basic schedule sweep log files

Basic schedule sweep-related components log messages and trace files that are on the Task Manager server and the Component Manager server.

The basic schedule sweep generates a log file and a trace file for report generation. The sweep creates a log file for each task under the task manager log directory. Set the Task Manager log directory, which is the folder on the server where you deployed IBM® Content Navigator. Set the directory from the IBM Enterprise Records user interface: Administration View > Settings > Task Manager Configuration. The log file is named TASKNAME_p8_DDCP_log.log and the trace file is named TASKNAME_p8_DDCP_trace.log. The trace file is only generated when the logging level in IBM Content Navigator is set to Debug. Set the application-level logging from the IBM Enterprise Records user interface: Administration View > Settings > Logging.

In Component Manager V2.0, by default the basic schedule sweep generates the log file for record deletion in the same location as the p8_server_error.log file of Content Platform Engine. For more information, see Viewing the FileNet P8 log files at http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/p8docs/v5r2m0/topic/com.ibm.p8.common.admin.doc/logs/logs_reference.htm. Also, the trace file is only generated when the logging level in IBM Content Navigator is set to Debug. Set the application-level logging from the IBM Enterprise Records user interface: Administration View > Settings > Logging.

You can configure tracing for IBM Enterprise Records basic schedule sweep by using the log4j configuration sample file that is provided under the IBM Enterprise Records installation directory. For more information, see the Configure tracing for IBM FileNet Content Engine using log4j technote at http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21308321. This log4j.xml file is available at IBM/EnterpriseRecords/Workflow/configureRMworkflow/lib.
