Deploying REST Services to an IBM WebSphere Application Server

You must perform a series of deployment steps to deploy IBM® Enterprise Records REST Services on your IBM WebSphere® Application Server

Procedure

To deploy IBM Enterprise Records REST Services:

  1. Log on to the WebSphere administrative console.
  2. Go to the Enterprise Applications list: Applications > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications.
  3. Verify that Workplace or Workplace XT is listed.
  4. Click Install to start the wizard.
  5. Select Local file system, locate and select the ier_rest.ear file that you created earlier, and click Next.
  6. Select Fast Path and click Next.
  7. At Step 1: Select installation options, click Next.
  8. At Step 2: Map modules to servers, click Next.
  9. At Step 3: Map virtual hosts..., click Next.
  10. At Step 4: Summary, click Finish.
  11. Click Save directly to the master configuration.
  12. Go to the Enterprise Applications list: Applications > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications.
  13. Go to IER REST Services > Class loading and update detection.
  14. Change the Class loader order to Classes loaded with local class loader first (parent last) and click OK.
  15. Go to Enterprise Application > IER Rest Services > Manage Modules.
  16. Select the IBM Enterprise Records REST Services link.
  17. Change the Class loader order to Classes loaded with local class loader first (parent last) and click OK.
  18. Go to Enterprise Application > IER Rest Services > Security role to user/group mapping.
  19. Select the All Authenticated role and click Map Special Subjects.
  20. Select All Authenticated in Applications Realm.
  21. Select the Everyone role and click Map Special Subjects.
  22. Select Everyone.
  23. Click Save directly to the master configuration and click OK.
  24. Start the IBM Enterprise Records REST Service application.
