Deploying Crystal Server components to IBM Enterprise Records

Deploy Crystal Server components to IBM® Enterprise Records.

Before you begin

Configure and deploy IBM Enterprise Records by completing the following steps: Review the overview topic about installing Crystal Server, especially the instructions about setting Application Engine or Workplace XT site preferences.

Procedure

To configure and deploy the Crystal Server components to IBM Enterprise Records:

  1. Remove the existing IBM Enterprise Records web application from the application server:
    Option Description
    WebSphere® Application Server From the WebSphere Application Server administrative console:
    1. Stop the IBM Enterprise Records web application process.
    2. Remove the IBM Enterprise Records web application from Enterprise Applications.
    WebLogic Server From the WebLogic Server Console, remove the IBM Enterprise Records web application.
    JBoss Application Server For JBoss Application Server:
    1. Stop the JBoss Application Server.
    2. Remove the IBM Enterprise Records application by removing the RecordsManager.war directory from JBOSS_HOME/server/default/deploy/.
    3. Remove the RecordsManager temporary working directory for IBM Enterprise Records from JBOSS_HOME/server/default/work/MainEngine/localhost/.
  2. Copy the crystalreportviewers directory from the Crystal Reports server, C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/Crystal Reports 2011/crystalreportsviewers, to the server with IBM Enterprise Records, ier_install_path/IBM/EnterpriseRecords/RecordsManager/.
  3. If you have an existing installation of Crystal Reports 11, you must delete the previously installed Crystal Reports 11 JAR files in the ier_install_path/IBM/EnterpriseRecords/RecordsManager/WEB-INF/lib folder. Otherwise, skip this step.

  4. If you have an existing installation of Crystal Reports Server 2008, you must delete the previously installed Crystal Reports Server 2008 JAR files in the ier_install_path/IBM/EnterpriseRecords/RecordsManager/WEB-INF/lib folder. Otherwise, skip this step.

  5. Copy the following Crystal Server JAR files to ier_install_path/IBM/EnterpriseRecords/RecordsManager/WEB-INF/lib from the C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0/java/lib folder. Or you might need to copy them from C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0/java/lib/external on the Crystal Server.

  6. Copy the IBM Enterprise Records web.xml file from the deployment location. Copy the file to the installation directory at: ier_install_path/IBM/EnterpriseRecords/RecordsManager/WEB-INF.

  7. Modify the web.xml file for Crystal Server 2011.
    1. In the context-param section, change the param-value section from crystal_image_uri value to crystalreportviewers.

    2. Add the following entries into the servlet section.

      </servlet-class>
      </servlet>
    3. Add the following entries into the servlet-mapping sections.

      <servlet-name>CrystalReportViewerServlet</servlet-name>
      <url-pattern>/CrystalReportViewerHandler</url-pattern>
      </servlet-mapping>
    4. Save your changes to the web.xml file.
  8. Redeploy the IBM Enterprise Records web application by using the instructions provided in the Configuration Manager. Complete the redeployment after following the instructions for installing Content Engine and Process Engine or Content Platform Engine clients in the configuring topic.
    Important: You must regenerate and redeploy the WAR or EAR files for the changes to the web.xml file to take effect.
  9. Run Application Engine or Workplace XT with by using an administrator account.
  10. From the Site Preferences menu, go to General. In the Report application server path field, enter the name of the Crystal Server 2011 server.
