(WebLogic Server) Configuring the Transfer tool

After you install the Transfer tool, you must configure it by copying certain files into different directories and editing the command file.

Procedure

To configure the Transfer tool:

  1. Log on to the server where you installed the Transfer tool.
  2. Copy the corresponding JAR file to the specified directory:
    Option Description
    WebLogic Server 9

    On the Application Engine or Workplace XT server, copy the wlfullclient.jar file from the WebLogic Server directory.

    Copy this file from the Application Engine or Workplace XT box: BEA_HOME/server/lib/wlfullclient.jar

    To the following directory on the server that has the IBM® Enterprise Records Transfer tool installed: ier_install_path/FilePlanImportExportTool/lib

    WebLogic Server 10

    On the Application Engine or Workplace XT server, copy the weblogic.jar file from the WebLogic Server directory.

    Copy this file from the Application Engine or Workplace XT box: BEA_HOME/server/lib/weblogic.jar

    To the following directory on the server that has the IBM Enterprise Records Transfer tool installed: ier_install_path/FilePlanImportExportTool/lib

  3. Open the command file in a text editor and make the following changes:
    Command file Edits
    RMTransfer.bat (Windows)
    1. Find APP_SERVER= and enter WebLogic Server, as follows: set APP_SERVER=Weblogic
    2. Find set JAVA_HOME= in the WebLogic Server section, and enter the Java™ home path. For example: set JAVA_HOME=C:\bea\jdk150_04

      or, if you are using the compatible jrockit JRE: set JAVA_HOME=C:\bea\jrockit90_150_04\jre

    RMTransfer.sh (AIX, HP-UX, Linux, and Solaris)
    1. Find the parameter APP_SERVER= and enter WebLogic Server, as follows: APP_SERVER=Weblogic
    2. Find the parameter JAVA_HOME= in the WebLogic Server section, and enter the Java home path. For example:JAVA_HOME=/opt/bea/jdk150_04/jre
