IBM Enterprise Records, Version 5.1.2

Upgrading object stores by using the IBM Enterprise Records Configuration Manager

You need to upgrade the object stores with the IBM® Enterprise Records Configuration Manager by using either the graphical user interface or the command line.

About this task

You can use either the graphical user interface or the command-line interface. You need to accomplish the following tasks:
Important: If you are upgrading from IBM InfoSphere® Enterprise Records 4.5.1 and later, rerun the Security Script wizard form the IBM Enterprise Records web application user interface. Rerun the wizard for each upgraded file plan object store (FPOS). When you log on to the web application for the first time after upgrading, the web application automatically displays the Security Script wizard. This initial login also requires you to first set security for the FPOS that contains your default file plan. If you run the wizard, be aware that some of the custom security settings you made to objects like locations and record types are overwritten.

When running Configuration Manager and upgrading your IBM Enterprise Records add-ons, you must have Records Administrator privileges. You must also have the permissions of the object store administrator at the time the object store was created.
