Configuring IBM Enterprise Records Object stores

You must create a IBM® Enterprise Records Object store configuration for new installation profile to configure object stores to work with IBM Enterprise Records. The tasks that are associated with this profile configure the file plan object store (FPOS) and record-enabled object stores (ROS).

About this task

You must complete the following tasks:

Procedure

To create an Object store configuration profile:

  1. Ensure that your Content Engine or Content Platform Engine server is running.
  2. If IBM Enterprise Records Configuration Manager is not already running, start the IBM Enterprise Records Configuration Manager.
  3. Start the Create New Installation Profile wizard by selecting File > New Installation Profile.
  4. Select the profile type, Object store configuration profile.
  5. In the Set Properties for Connection window, click Test Connection to test the connection between Configuration Manager and the Content Engine or Content Platform Engine server. If the test fails, make sure that the Content Engine or Content Platform Engine server is running. Also, make sure the Content Engine or Content Platform Engine server property values that you entered match the values that are defined in your Content Engine or Content Platform Engine server.
  6. The profile that you created displays an icon in the profile pane along with tasks and icons.

What to do next

Complete the Create Marking Sets and Add-Ons task, the Configure File Plan Object Store task, and then Import Templates and Transfer Workflows.
Important: Before you add marking sets or add-ons, verify no marking sets or add-ons are already in the domain. To check for existing marking sets or add-ons, log on to IBM Administration Console for Content Platform Engine or Enterprise Manager as the GCD administrator and select the Marking Sets node or the AddOns node.
