The Upgrade File Plan Object Store task applies the add-on to the file plan object store.
Procedure
To upgrade object stores:
- Complete the Upgrade
File Plan Object Stores task. Before you run
this task, enter a Records Administrator user ID in the Administrator user name field on the Set Properties
Connection window. You must have the permissions of the
Administrator of the object store and also be a Records Administrator
to run this task. After the IBM® Enterprise
Records upgrade add-ons are created in Content Engine or Content Platform Engine, you can then upgrade
previous versions of IBM Enterprise
Records object stores so they can be used with the 5.1.2 version of IBM Enterprise
Records. You must upgrade versions
4.5.1, 5.1.0, and 5.1.1 file plan object stores (FPOS), before the
object stores can be used by IBM Enterprise
Records 5.1.2. Upgrade of an FPOS from versions earlier than
4.5.1 is not supported. Specify the FPOS to upgrade. This add-on is
only for the Base and DoD data models.
- Complete the Upgrade
Record Object Stores task. Before you run this
task, enter the administrator user ID of the object store in the Administrator user name field on the Set Properties for
Content Engine Connection screen. You must upgrade versions 4.5.1,
5.1.0, and 5.1.1 record-enabled object stores (ROS) before the object
stores can be used by IBM Enterprise
Records 5.1.2. Specify the ROS to upgrade.
After the upgrade, the CanDeclare
property changes from a Persistent property to a Transient property.
The default values of CanDeclare set in the document class and subclasses
are preserved.
